    If that can help for sizing & fit - I'm wearing 9.5 Ride Fuse 2024
    Wich is 27.5 monopoint, and I wear sneakers size 10 US 28 JP, for asics, new balance, etc.
    Overall, I would say, go 1 size down for performance fit or 0.5 size down for comfort fit.
    As I'm ridding no more than 15 days per season I decided to go confort and true to size.
    Shortest foot measure approximately 273mm & longest 278mm.
    Foot width about 106mm.
    I didn't need to heatmold liner, I feel secured and locked-in with enough room in the toe box.
    My toes barely touch the front of the liner once the boots are tight without heat molding the liner.
    Since I have long and high arch, and using after market inshole which is game changer also to secure my heel better.
    I have a strong foot with big instep so I felt pressure on top of my feet first days which went away after less than a week.
    I had heel lift issues in some other boots and I feel super locked in my RIDE FUSE thanks to heel boa, good lacing system and nice liner as mentioned in this video.
    If I would ride than 20 days a year I could have taken size 27 for a very tight performance fit + heat mold.
    I tried different pairs and brands before finally finding the one that best suited my foot and riding style.
    I'm now riding RIDE Shadowban 157, and no toe or heel drag so far!
    I'm also an average 33 years old rider snowboarding for more than 15 years up to 15 days per season.
    Ride fuse top boots is great overall and agree with James & The Good Ride.
    Thanks for that very accurate review!

      Yeah you run more on the normal side so these would be a great fit. If they feel a touch tight you can always heat mold em.

    Super accurate review. I love these boots. Thanks to your recent ride lasso pro review, I decided to purchase the fuse and I would consider them a slight upgrade. The laces work better for me as a found the lasso pro BOA loosened up regularly throughout the day so I was always tightening them and the single zone would cause pressure points sometimes if I over tightened. Also the burrito wrap works great for skinny legs, as I feel like im able to get it tighter around my calves. Looking forward to the new K2 Orton and new Bataleon salsa. Your content fuels my gear addiction!

    I had those blue Schubert ones and now this years ‘24 white and black. One difference is the boa on the 2024 is a bit wimpier and made of lighter plastic than the ‘23 blue one which was a little sturdier feeling. The blue Schubert has leather in the top of the liner.
    Used to have an 8.5 pair of tm-3’s then tried on the 8.5 in fuse and too big then got the 8 and rode it for a month and they loosened and now I am on a 7.5 and after a month still added a diy cork footbed and a heel shim under a gamechanger on my left foot.
    Last I checked I got a size 9 on my left and a size 8.5 on my right with the brannock device.

    Thanks for the review I just purchased the fuse to replace my Vans Infuse.
    For reference, my longest foot is 27,3cm + 0,5cm heel spur. these are my sizes in different brands:
    32 lashed - US10.
    Salomon Launch - US9.5.Footprint=30.6cm
    Vans Infuse - US9.5 (actual boot). Footprint=31cm
    Ride Fuse US9 Footprint=30.2cm
    Ride Fuse US9.5 Footprint=30.7cm
    I'm testing the fuse in 9,5 and 9.
    With the 9.5 fuse in a snowboard stance, I barely touch the end of the boot which means it will most probably be too roomy after packing out.
    With the 9 fuse in a snowboard stance the fit is very tight around in my longest toe , but I think it will be OK when they pack out and with thin socks.
    The Fuse US9 has 8mm smaller footprint than my VANS US9.5 nevertheless, the liners and the insoles are the same size.
    The Fuse US9.5 has a smaller footprint than my VANS US9.5 but the liners and the insoles are a couple of mm longer.
    I would say, like in your video, that I'm between sizes but I really want to size down the shell size so I will probably thermoform the 9s and see what happens. I have high arches and both sizes cause pressure points over the foot, I hope it will be better after thermoforming. The feeling is much more locked than with my Vans Infuse.

      hey!
      how’s the Fuse 9 working for you? did they pack out? from your description we have the same foot size and im also replacing my Infuse’s that are 9.5 and after 25 days on them they feel a little too big on me.. and they are heavy as hell 😅

    • @ANETOKILLE
      @ANETOKILLE 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jprsousa same with my infuses after 29 days. Too much volume inside after pack out. Mega heavy. Fuses have packed out after thermoforming. Feel on the limit of comfort right now. I will ride them in a couple of days. I returned the 9.5s they felt like the infuses 9.5 when they were new in terms of length.

    • @ANETOKILLE
      @ANETOKILLE 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jprsousa rode them for 3 days. They work for me lengthwise, for a performance fit since i ride more than 35 days/ season. I got really cold feet compared with infuses... and heel lift in my right shorter foot. It seems the embedded jbar is a little displaced, probaably will need external jbar to fix it.
      Heel hold is better with infuses, the tongue tied system has this wrap around the shin which is connectedto the tongue, i wish it was just for the tongue, the pressure is not evenly distributed with the boa causing pressure on shin if cranked for heel hold. Great for carving with 8mm shorter footprint and impressive response. Sock absorption is minimal even with game changers light, but board feel is great compared with vans. Too stiff right now for my freestyle but i believe they will be perfect afer 10 days riding , ike it happened with the infuses. Adjustability is better with the power strap in infuses. Hope it helps.. thanks to the good ride helping me find these great boots. PS: The forward lean is a notch straighter than infuses so highbacks do not match without cranking straps.

    Just sent a pair of these back - was REALLY close to keeping them but was worried about width in same way you were. Went with Burton Ion instead. Just more comfortable. Will def revisit this one in future seasons tho if the Ion short-lived at all.

      Glad the Ion's work for you and all you would have needed is a heat mold. It packed out really wide on the sides.

    I’ve owned these boots and I now have torrent, do you think the fuse mould is tighter fit around heel compared to torrent? I have lower volume in right foot.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is. They use a different liner with a little more volume vs. the Torrent. You might still need boot fitting foam for the right foot but it might be easier to dial out. Before buying a new boot though, try to use boot fitting foam from a store like Tognar Toolworks to see if you can fill it up or take it to a boot fitter.

      @@thegoodridesnow yep will do, I somehow use to squeeze into a 10.5us fuse then moved to 11 in the torrent. They are great boots and fit well but my right foot is a bit roomy. I do miss the heel hold of the fuse hybrid tongue tied but I’ll like the flex better on the torrent. I may try some o rings on the torrent first

      @@thegoodridesnow cheers many thanks. The torrent are a great boot I’m just having issues with right foot, custom insoles helped keep my heel in back of boot. Other issue was the heel pocket didn’t line up with my right foot left ankle. Not a big issue now. I will def get some butterfly foam and maybe some O rings? If this doesn’t work I’ll try the 92.

    Do you notice the liners getting wetter than others? I have Fuses, love them, but they seem to be letting in water around the sole. I thought it could be sweat, but the instep/ top of foot stays dry. Its only the bottom and heel portion.

    • @Jrich509
      @Jrich509 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have these boots and did not notice this. The only time I got water in my boot was when I didn’t put the inner pant liner around my boot but that would happen with any boot. I rode these in 12in of fresh snow and didn’t have any issues with water getting in.

      I noticed my feet getting wet on two different pairs. I started off the season on 8's and then went down to 7.5. 1st rainy day I noticed then spring slush I noticed. 1st with the rain I thought it was getting in on top by the laces and then later seems like it gets in through the sole or smthg. I have to pull the liners out now pretty much daily for them to dry by the next day adn the liners are typically wet on the bottom.

      @@eedom69 Same. Mine are a few years old and I heard people complain about other Ride boots in the past. I am hoping they fixed it because I would like to get another pair. Underneath the heel there is that deep cutout in the sole. I think that has something to do with it. Might try caulking it haha.

    Just picked up a pair of this years Fuse. I think it’s a keeper. Seems to fit my foot well. Won’t get to really test them till next winter sadly.
    One issue I have and I haven’t seen anyone say this yet: they are loud! I mean, really squeaky walking in them. It’s the liner on the shell I guess. Does this go away? All the other boots I tried on were silent but man, these guys got something to say!

    Really like the shape and space of the deadbolt (I am able to size down and fits the E width of my foot perfectly) but prefer the stiffness and lace system of the fuse - is there any boot that you are aware of that blends the two? The new bataleon seems nice but maybe too much on the soft side.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You know with a good heat mold you can get the Fuse to fit like a Dead Bolt. I did that with my boots and I'm a size E. What I did was put boot fitting foam on the sides of my feed and then a liner sock over it. Then I pressed into the sides, like I was super bowlegged, to create space in the liner. My fuse boots fit just like the Dead Bolt now.

    Would you recommend any of these models for someone with a narrow foot?or maybe another model of another brand?Thanks

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on how narrow but for the most part yes. With any boot it's important to get them dialed by heat molding and/or using boot fitting foam to make the boot work best for you.

    Differences between ride fuse boots and thirtytwo tm 2 xlt???

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      TM2's have a good bit more shock absorption. Fuses retain their flex longer but the TM2's aren't bad at all. Fuse has the BOA around the ankle and a wider toe box.

  • @loggiic

    Have you noticed the tongue got softer? I bought the 2024 fuses and could straight away tell and compare with my old fuses that the tongue not that stiff as it used to be. The old one has a really plastic stiff feel while these not. Is this a downgrade from Ride or is rather a some sort of optimization?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It felt pretty similar to my 2022 pair but I'm usually testing demo's and you are testing production models so there might have been a slight tweak at the factory. Its hard to say if it's a downgrade and I think it's more about perspective/personal preference. If you like it stiff it is. If you are like me and would prefer the Fuses a little softer but still have rubber that will keep the flex longer than most tongue's still this is an upgrade. Now if they could make a more shock absorbent sole like the Torrent and Deadbolt it would be my perfect boot.

      Yeah the demo Fuse I got for demo in 2021 felt a little longer inside. The production model I extensively tested fits true to size. Even after riding it all this time it barely packed out and I never felt the need to add boot fitting foam in the heel to compensate.
