Same brother. Been a fan since 1996 and never looked back. Got to chill in a hotel all night and get drunk with E-Town when they came to San Antonio Texas. We took pictures and years later, they played in Austin Texas with Hatebreed and DeLux ran up to me with the pictures of San Antonio! He said he knew we would be there and the proceeded to let us chill with E-Town and Hatebreed on Hatebreeds tour bus. It was epic! Memories that I will take to my grave!
I've been into hardcore since the early 90s and have known about e town concrete since the 90s, I've never seen or heard this split I thought I had everyone of there cds
Welcome to the Garden State where you Best Be “Gaurd’n” your things in the Garden State…H.C.H.C….. Hudson County hard-core…Still Underground Still Rep’n Strong…..N.J. Strong
Just checked E town releases at discogs, and both of em, Prepare for Kombat (green cass) and the split are from the same year; 1996. Not sure if the info on discogs is accurate.
thanks for getting back to me...yeah, def both in 96...one of the younger dudes from my crew graduated high school in 96, he was the one who brought the green tape to my house and first turned me onto E.Town, and I clearly remember him stopping by on his way home from school like "yo fellas, ya'll gotta check this out, everybody at school is listening to it!" I seen these cats play in a cramped basement in either Cranford or Roselle , I think it was that spring..seen them play as an opener at Pipeline in Newark not long after. Wasn't long til they were either headlining or sharing top billing at smaller venues like Wetlands and the Stone Pony, seen E.Town sooo many times over the years, grew up the next town over from Eric Denault and two towns over from Elizabeth so actually used to run into these guys every now and then...damn...miss those days...LMAO Thanks for the upload bro!
You are lucky brother, Im from Europe, never had the chance to see em live. Def njhc and nyhc scenes are my faves! great music there. Greetings from spain brother!
You didn't? Aw, bummer dude...did they ever play in Spain that you know of? Yeah, I was lucky...good place at a good time. I was 18 in 1992, grew up and lived a bit outside of Manhattan in Jersey...and started hitting shows up regularly around then...over the next ten years I'd been to close to 400 shows. Started doing the nightclub thing around 2000 and other things in life took up more of my time and since 2002 I've prolly only been to 40 shows since. LoL. Had a helluva run tho, seen MANY awesome bands come up...early Sick Of It All, Madball just starting out, the best days of Biohazard, Crown of Thornz, District 9, VOD, Fury of Five, many awesome bands...seen a ton of bigger mainstream acts too...lucky for me, everybody plays Jersey and NYC especially. But there is nothing on earth like NYHC in NYC!!! At my age I don't spend shows dancing in the pit no more...but I can't help it...gotta jump in there and get down for a song or two LMAO Spain, cool bro, greeting from New Jersey! Check out hate5six page on here...nice footage of live shows of many classic NYHC bands!
Anthony Barat awesome you had the chance to saw that all great bands, I started in to punk at very young and then discover metal and hardcore, and start to get involved into it, allways have hip hop influences tho, so when i discover the scenes of nyhc and njhc i connect automatically with all that shit. Actually i love all the old metallic hardcore, specially shit i call og beatdown, bands like Krutch, Redline, No retreat, Sweart to god, Irate, Back of tha neck, 36deadlyflists, stuff like that, mostly nyhc, njhc, pahc. But i never had the chance to see that bands in my country mostly of em never came to europe i think, im not sure tho because im from 1990s, i get all this shit later haha Glad to talk with someone involved in that scenes man.
Two of the best Nj bands ever
2nd to None blew dick
Ah good old days when I was 16. 25 years later, still on the play list!
Whoever booed this monster? I will find you
Can't believe i had never heard this split before.
Love the rough production on the ETC side.
