    Honorable mentions to do if you like them:
    - Daily Meta Events (Octovine, Ley-Line Anomaly etc.)
    - Purchasing Pact Scout Mapping Materials
    - Dungeons
    - EoD Strikes
    - Open-World Node Farms
    - Exchanging a Specific Rare Fish with Taro Everclaw for a Chunk of Ancient Ambergris each day
    These were excluded from the video primarily based on lack of efficiency, but if you enjoy them then they can all still give a small chunk of additional loot every day.

      I like farming Tequatl for gold. It spawns 6 times a day at specific times, takes about 15 minutes to kill, and you get 1g for killing it with each character once a day, and an exotic chest with 1g for each account once a day, plus a bunch of items to sell. You can check specific times at the wiki under Event Timers.

    • @simulatethat6099
      @simulatethat6099 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the Mapping Materials although it can be just the slightest bit tedious because you're opening up the wiki to check locations but if 40 are used to complete a map that gives the 44 shiny baubles it equates to slightly less than 2g per day spent or roughly 6s per 1000 karma.

    For noobs or non gw2 players, note that not all the rewards or drops mentioned here mean liquid gold. Rewards are crafting materials, gear loot, currencies etc. It's a very rough estimate of its value into gold

    • @EarlyNai
      @EarlyNai 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@eroll2 yea so lets say you open a chest and it gives you 3 unidentified blues, and 2 unidentified greens, that's like 6-7 silver if you sell it on the TP. Or you earn a type of currency- you spend it to buy a bag of materials, then you sell the materials for gold on the TP. It's can be convoluted, but its intentional for the health of the game economy.

    this video was actually great and as someone just now dipping into Endgame stuff I actually didnt know you should buy the daily fractal keys. i didnt even know u could buy them.

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The wonderful part about that one is that if the keys ever go down in value, the encryptions will go up making fractals more worth doing. There's no way that the overall gold value of fractals ever goes down very much because of that inverse relationship.

  • @EyesOfGehenna
    @EyesOfGehenna 2 ปีที่แล้ว +73

    52 out of the 70 gold come from group content (strikes and fractals) and I suspect high level fractals. Most people don't engage in this content, let alone daily. The remaining 18 gold are about selling stuff you get from various places, but if you are crafting exotic (celestial for example) or ascended items for example you would need a lot of these materials. If you craft legendary items you will need your spirit shards, etc.: my point is those items will only give you as much gold if you're not crafting stuff but rather will save you gold instead. So although it's a good video, I feel that it's not really that useful for most players. Not a criticism, but just an observation.

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Absolutely true. Most players don't engage in the content. A lot of the point I'm trying to illustrate is more players should at least give the content a real try instead of writing it off as too inconvenient or difficult. Brand new players will still be able to get over 10 gold just doing easy strikes and fractals.
      As far as needing many of the items for building your account, I'd actually look at that as a positive. The profit is in your account and you could use it for anything, but the best thing for your gold-making long-term as a newer player is to reinvest the first gold you earn into things like gear. The even better part is the gold cited for each activity here assumes you're selling the product and incurring the 15% TP tax. If you actually use the materials yourself, the margins of profit can be significantly larger. In the case of celestial exotics it's actually a huge difference, because players almost always instant buy and the gear can be really expensive compared to the crafting price. You're definitely right in saying that newer players will only see a small portion of this gold going into their wallet if they make those decisions, but they'd otherwise have to earn even more gold to replace these items by buying them and it doesn't take very long to meet all those needs and start pocketing all the profit.
      All that said, I realize this is more of a developmental process than a lot of players are wanting to deal with, but there's little I can do to change that attitude once people are set on it, other than show them the other 40ish gold they're missing out on. The next video will go over some of the options players have if they choose to lock themselves out of the ones in this video, or if they really want to progress faster than they can starting out with just daily gold.

      @paintl3gz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Yea I've been playing this game pretty casually since launch. The most gold I've ever had is 400g from just doing exclusively PvP and selling everything I received. When I decided I wanted to start crafting a legendary that gold quickly went to 0 because I had to buy all the mats I had sold.

    • @dowfreak7
      @dowfreak7 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@paintl3gz That was very much my life for the longest time; I actually had built towards Twilight for like 7 years.
      What helped me out, tho, wasn't trying to lose braincells bruteforcing fractal cms with dicks, but rather just chill fishing and doing some routine metas. Do this meta here, that meta there; maybe one day you feel like gathering some stuff and at others you pick up some pact materials.
      The variety helps a lot with not burning out. And after I got Twilight, I kinda got Vision just by fishing my way toward the fishing title (which got me like 800g through all the fish). Then I finished Aurene's sword and Astralaria just recently; also funded by fishing.
      Just dip your toes into different things and do the stuff that is most fun to you. If it's pvp, do that. If it's crafting stuff and slowly selling it, do that. If you find a particular meta super fun, just do that a lot.

      @@paintl3gz I’ve been playing GW2 since shortly after launch and the most gold I’ve ever been able to keep in my wallet was just over 2000. When I began crafting Legendary weapons, my wallet went back down to just under 1000 gold and then I built it back up to about 1500, before I was ready to craft my 2nd Legendary weapon. Now I have crafted 16 Legendary weapons and I’m almost ready for number 17, with my wallet at 912 gold and I’ll need to buy about half of the needed tier 6 materials, so my gold will drop to maybe 550 to 600, but I find that I can build it back up to close to 1,000 gold by the time I’m ready to craft another Legendary weapon. Now I must start working on Legendary armor and trinkets, so that might drop my gold further than normal, but I think you get my point.

    Note: If you're into long-term fractal rewards, you may want to not buy fractal encryption keys with fractal relics.
    Just open the fractal relics with the keys you get dropped and sell the other encryption on the TP.
    This will give you a bit less gold but allows you to save fractal relics faster. Top-tier fractal rewards like everlasting potions and permanent account upgrades will cost tens of thousands fractal relics.

  •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    One correction: you will get bumped up to lvl80 when you enter fractals, so you can start doing Tier 1 fractals whenever you like. I do weekly newbie tutorial runs for guildies and we often have one or more

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True. Level 80 isn't TECHNICALLY a requirement, but most people won't be as accommodating and helpful as it sounds like you are.

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kinda true. LFG groups usually expect some competence for fractals (and that's understandable), but I'd say that the biggest recommendation I have for any player is to find a good guild for yourself.
      Even if you're sure you'll never participate in any group activity (like I was until 1.5 years ago), just joining a guild doesn't mean you have to. And if you find a good guild, it might happen that you suddenly find yourself participating on things and finding totally new ways to enjoy the game. And who knows, maybe even friendships that'll last for the rest of your life ❤️. Or not, but even in that case you lost nothing by joining. Especially when you can be in up to 5 guilds at the same time :)

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      (eg on my guild there's almost always ppl willing to join if someone asks for fractal or dungeon run. Be it T4 fractals or story mode dungeons. My newbie tutorials are just meant to encourage new players to take that first step into a content that many find intimidating before trying it. Usually after that they're happily joining on the random guildie groups :))

    something that can be really nice for gathering home instance or guild halls and other such things is if you can do it on a build that give yourself quickness out of combat that can make it a lot faster to do, herald is the easiest for this, there is a lot of quickness sources that require an enemy for you to attack to get quickness like berserker or deadeye need an enemy but there's probably sources I'm forgetting since there's a lot of skills to go through and i only remember what traits give group quickness

    The best way to make gold is to max out your masteries in core Tyria + all expansions so you get spirit shards every time you level up. Do this ASAP. Save up enough gold to make a legendary weapon. You can either do the precursor collection or buy a precursor to make the legendary & sell it on the TP. Rinse & repeat. Now you'll have enough gold to flip items on the TP. Bid on items that have a big gap between the bid & buyout. It costs you nothing to bid & you can always cancel it & get your gold back. If you play it smart you can make a ton of gold this way

    - Daily ascended craft to sell

    - Bjora Ice Gather Route

    I appreciate your willingness to help but I must say that video's title is quite misleading. Only around 15g (max) of those 70 is actually available to all players:
    -Fracs and IBS strikes both require organized groups and T4s also require full asc gear + expensive AR. And the strikes + drizzle require IBS which is purchased with gems;
    -T1s can be done with exo gear but either way it still requires an organized group (can take a lot of time to find on LFG) and profit is A LOT lower than T4s;
    -Alt parking requires having lots of alts (which most people don't have);
    -Daily crafting requires high lvl crafting (not everyone is 400+);
    -Home instance requires waiting for someone with a 'good soul', full home and is willing to share. In the video you say it's "easy" but according to my experience this can literally take hours;
    -Guild nodes can be more or less profitable, if it's a low level guild (like most guilds) you won't be getting more than a few silver out of it;
    -Converters are available to everyone, given you have the time and patience to finish those collections. Some of them collections are quite annoying to finish and profit per day is under 1g;
    -Daily login and achiev: those ones are available for all players, but login specially is not always profitable. E.g: when you're awarded bag of luck, transmute charges, acc bound gear or xp boosters (yes, I understand that all those are nice to have but we're talking about GOLD).

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Day 1 you might be correct. But I've seen people go from freshly hitting level 80 to accessing everything on this list within 2 weeks several times. Not everyone is going to be that motivated, but the point remains that the process of unlocking these isn't super exclusive. CMs + T4s take the longest to unlock, but if you're putting your earnings toward a set of ascended gear it doesn't take more than like 2-3 weeks to gear.
      Joining a large guild will readily give access to guild nodes and usually several players with full home instances.
      If players want gold to just appear in their accounts for doing 1 or 2 metas that they sit at and auto attack a few times, they're going to be disappointed. There's plenty of people out there telling new players to do that as THE way to make gold. What I hope to achieve on this channel, if nothing else, is showing players there are MANY ways to make gold and that a lot of ways exist that can help them more than what casual players tell them to do, coming from someone who has more experience with gold-making than 99.99% of players. I'm actually really happy to hear that some new players have watched this, noticed they only have access to 10 or 20 or 30 gold/day with this right now, and taken the opportunity to set goals to unlock all these methods. The most depressing thing to me about just recommending octovine is that most of the players I see following that sort of advice quickly stop logging in every day because they're either bored and unable to find goals for themselves in the game OR they're demotivated by how slowly they're progressing with those methods.
      The easy way of doing things often leads to inferior results. That doesn't mean all of this is for everyone, but I'd hope more new players give a legitimate try to things like Fractals instead of being discouraged by veteran players who had a bad experience 2 years ago in T3 LFG, haven't gone back since, and talk loudly about it whenever someone mentions the content. At the end of the day the title says "BEST" and not "EASIEST". The next video will be more oriented towards open-world players, but you've actually given me an idea for a "best gold makers without living story episodes video" so cheers for that.

      T1's are not all that hard. I am speaking as a fairly new player....only been playing this game for a little over a year and started learning fractals towards the end of last year. I did manage to solo one T1 (after about an hour and a half and maybe 5 or 6 deaths haha) it was Chaos, so I can speak from experience that T1's do not require a full group, just a bit of coordinating....and maybe a couple of friends for fun! Oh and yes, that was with 0 AR.

    • @wellingtonclayton5628
      @wellingtonclayton5628 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vicki1460 Soloing any group content is hard, and if you manage to do it either way it is going to take a lot of time. That means bad g/h ratio even if you succeed. However if you're doing it as a personal achiev then I can understand 100%! Otherwise I wouldn't consider it as effective farming. Not to mention T1's give a lot less loot than T4's and most of it comes from daily reward chests. So it's either get a group (good luck with that) and do all the daily ones or don't even bother with them...

I was doing raids once I got my first ascended set (which isnt that hard to get really, just do fractals) and learned how to tank as a chronomancer.
      Tadaa 8 months in when I crafted my first legendary armor pieces + 2 legendary weapons.
      Raids and fractals are accessable to anybody if you are willing to learn. Most people arent, they think they know everything, quit when they day and start moaning how raiding/fractal community is toxic. Its not, its very welcomming if you are willing to listen and learn.

    Can someone please explain what is meant by fractal keys being profitable?... Do you/can you/should you sell the fractal keys on the TP directly? Do you/should you sell Fractal Encryptions on the TP, crack them first then sell them or do you open them yourself? Should I be buying Fractal Encryptions from the TP and using my own keys on to open them? I'm clearly a bit confused by how to interpret the [fast] farm site on this one.

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keys are not tradeable. The second table on the [Fast] site is what you want to look at. Those are the profits if you buy order encryptions from the TP and open them with keys acquired by the methods listed on the table.
      The following assumptions are made: you don't instabuy, you don't instasell, and you have the mastery required to get the maximum loot from the encryptions.
      For most players, they'll have to buy order some of the encryptions because they'll get keys faster. Open what you get, buy what you need to open the rest. Periodically reference the page to make sure nothing has changed drastically.

      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On top of the more visible rewards, you also get 3 integrated fractal matrices, which can be traded for 30 keys if you're not going for account augmentations. You'll also drop a few rings, and occasionally ascended salvage kits and mystic coins from the daily chests, which have additional value. Fractals also give a pretty insane amount of experience, which yields spirit shards, which have a decent value as well. Then there's a bunch of materials including lodestones that you're probably just depositing and not thinking about. A surprising amount of value gets hidden away in your wallet and material storage. [Fast] has a fractal daily calculator on their site, but they have very few data sets for CMs and their numbers are actually lower than reality because they don't value in rings at their salvage value. They also don't value in fractal relics, but their value is sort of debatable so I support that decision. Currently, they value today's CMs at 39 gold. With the aforementioned adjustment, 40g is more than reasonable. If you value in relics, you could call in the value at even higher.
      I'm not going to tell you recs are worth it by gold-per-hour standards compared to CMs or T4s, but they're not bad either. I personally did them up until the point where I got all the pages and pristine relics I needed and now I only do them if I'm playing with someone who needs them. If you enjoy fractals or need the account-bound rewards, for sure do them.

      @@MoGaiinz "Liquid gold" refers to gold and anything that could be readily sold for gold, like materials. Typically people don't count wallet currencies into that and neither does GW2Efficiency. If I had to guess it's probably about 35 liquid and then 5 from currencies? I guess it also depends slightly on if you have the fractal empowerment upgrade unlocked, as that gives 0.1-0.4 spirit shards per fractal completed on top of the typical rewards. "Raw gold" refers to the actual gold in your wallet and 20 sounds about right after you've opened all the encryptions and sold the junk.
      Long-term, liquid gold makes the most sense to look at with gold-making because those materials or items will generally either be sold into gold or used to craft items, which saves you the gold required to buy them. It can definitely seem like an invisible stat to a lot of players. The number of times I've had someone tell me how broke they are, then watch them register on Gw2Efficiency and see that they have 1000+ liquid gold in stuff chilling in their mat storage is actually just too many to count.

      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well you should be buying some keys every day and opening the encryptions you get from doing the fractals, which is probably the most apparent portion of the profit.
      Then you get a variety of materials that also add to it. You can either sell them or use them for your own crafting, the latter giving you a higher value if you can do it.
      And the last portion of the profit comes in the form of items that aren't directly tradeable. You get spirit shards and fractal relics, which can be indirectly converted to gold. You also get ascended rings and ascended salvage kits, which you can use to get more stabilizing matrices. Those are quite valuable and can be used to buy additional fractal encryption keys. That's also not counting the karma you get, which admittedly doesn't contribute anything significant to the gold value, but is still nice to have.
      High tier fractals are just so good for making gold.

I have already played this events many times but had never the feeling to get that much money from it. So what do you mean with 30 gold an hour? Do you mean that you get that from the materials that you get and sell when you disassemble armors and weapons or is it the money you make from selling rare weapons that you can get with a little chance that are worth something like 10 gold or more? I don't really get how you can make that much money with this map because even when I play an whole day on this map and make these events over 10 times in one day the best portion of money that I can make in this time and with this I mean 10 hour playtime is 30 Gold...

You'll also drop a few rings, and occasionally ascended salvage kits and mystic coins from the daily chests, which have additional value. T4 fractals simply weed out the vast majority of players with "theorycraft builds" that are incredibly bad and sometimes even as useless as not having a 5th player. I used to be one of those useless party members, so I'm more than familiar with the transition. You still get plenty of them in T3. So the number of attempts required to clear in T4 groups is typically lower than in T3, despite the difficulty increase just because more people actually know what they're doing to a decent degree and so they'll make an actual composition. It makes things way easier than dealing with T3 groups where you're only getting 10 stacks of might, no alacrity, and no quickness because someone is playing rampager's druid.

      Fishing is certainly surprisingly competitive, stacking up pretty well with the best open world farms and only losing handily to fractals and more involved gold makers like crafting and flipping. The only major weakness is that its profit is mostly tied to ambergris, which could drop in price in a year or 2 if demand for gen 3 legendaries drops. For now at least, enjoy it!
      I've thought about making a video about fishing, but it would take a lot of willpower on my end, as I don't particularly enjoy it. I'd probably sooner close the game and do household chores than start fishing, but that's just me. I should probably suck it up and work on a fishing video...

      If you're running tier 3s, you're still missing out on the extra loot from tier 4 and for all 3 daily CMs. Generally speaking, tier 3 is also the worst spot in fractal progression for getting competent party members and completing fractals in a timely fashion (you can ask other fractal players, most will agree with that assessment). Once you reach tier 4, the difficulty goes up a good bit, but the competency of players goes up a lot more. CMs and T4s with a solid group will likely not take over 90 minutes. Maybe add another 15 if you can keep those people around for recs.
      You're also likely not accounting for the value of account-bound currencies like spirit shards and fractal relics, as well as materials that you're getting. My "How Gold Works" video starts off by covering the difference between "total gold value" and the number you see in your wallet. This is an important distinction to make between guild wars 2 and some other games you may have played previously.
      Daily logins provide value in several forms. Some are easy to see, like bags of crafting materials, and Mystic Coins. Some are a bit more involved, like laurels or spirit shards, where you need to follow a couple additional steps to get the value out of them. And then the Mystic Clovers from the 28 day chest are the most involved. You'll only receive the gold value for those when you actually craft a legendary, whether it's to bind or sell for profit.

      I'd leave it up to them to decide instead of assuming that you know what everyone wants. If there's anything I've learned, it's that a lot of people play this game with a way different mindset to me. I personally don't think the second 30 keys are worth the profit they currently provide, despite me having fractal God and pots already, but many people disagree. • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ley-Line Anomaly was not included for a few reasons. It's on a timer, so you have to plan around it compared to the rest of the methods, which can all be done pretty much any time. It's also decreased in value by almost half in the past year due to Mystic Coins dropping in price. People also tend to think only of the 2ish minutes they spend doing the event and not the several minutes they'll spend finding a map or not being able to do something else because they're waiting for the event timer to roll around, so it is a bit less efficient than most people give it credit for.
      That being said, it's wildly popular, mostly because it's conceptually very easy and accessible to do. I personally find it a bit boring and unsatisfying, but that's just me. If you like doing it, go right ahead. There's more than a few ways to earn gold in this game and nobody should feel obligated to do something they don't enjoy. It is a game after all.

      I do think some players forget that for gems to be worth a decent amount of gold, there has to be a counterparty buying the gems, so someone has to be earning gold organically. The gem exchange has slight delays in its updates, but it actually works quite similarly to the trading post, so gems would be half the price they are now pretty quickly with nobody buying them with their gold. The game is also just popular in a lot of countries where buying gems isn't feasible for people. Either way, something something circle of life.

      As interesting as that might be for a few people, unfortunately the vast majority of people hate things going into that much detail. I figure the [Fast] site offers enough in the way of itemizing the gold income from an activity for most people. I just avoid referencing the parts of the site with inaccurate figures or low sample sizes and I think that's a good compromise between detail and simplicity. I had people tell me even 7 minutes was too long and I'm pretty sure the only way I could've made this shorter would have been providing 0 actual info about the methods.
      The other problem with itemizing some of these things is the profit is an average. Your CM + T4 profit may be 38ish most days and then you'll drop a 20 stack ascended salvage kit and that will put that 1 day much higher. Your DWC donations may not get you any rewards back one day and then might give you the chest with clovers in it the next day, just because of how the commendation counts work out and the randomness of how many good exchanges are available each day.
      I will say every gold value in this video was something I tracked and compared values from when I conceptualized the video 17 months ago and when I actually made it. They're all pretty accurate and consistent. The only one that I really just said "screw it" with was the 1g from converters. Using only the 2 in the video puts you below 1g, using 4-5 like many veterans do gives you over 1g. I didn't feel like it was worth spending time going into all those stipulations.

      Not really that dramatic, I'm afraid.
      It's nice to use a converter to make a bit more space, but you really don't gain terribly much. If you're lucky you get a few mats that are worth something, the rest is just junk worth maybe 10 silver if you're lucky.
      If you spend the time you save from using a converter, to kill 4-5 mobs in say Dragonfall, your "loss" will be extremely marginal.
      Don't get me wrong, you do get a lucky exotic every once in a blue moon, but outside of that it's just "k, got the converter, got the materials, click the converter a bunch, oh it didn't eat as much as it could, store the converter, store the mats, recycle the stuff, sell the junk" to gain a silver.

Guild Wars 2 is a little different from other games, and people who have trouble making gold usually have trouble because they're not clear on the differences between those 3 classifications of gold. Once they've understood that, it's easy for most people to see potential gold income in all sorts of ways in the game.

    Yeah, completely lost the point of the entire video on the "haha, just do t4 cms daily" part.
    That is not and will never be a "consistent" source of income for 95% of the player base. Setting up a character that can even run such high fractals takes immense amounts of gold. I don't care how worth that investion is in 2 years of constant daily fractals.
    Not to mention that "easy way to get into instanced content" with the easy 3, being in the same video as "do the hardest instanced 5-man content in the game" is just ludicrous. If you do not have a completely dedicated static, you will not do these every day or you will have to suffer through finding a group that actually does it, then suffer through the bickering/regrouping/nagging etc.
    And it really doesn't help, that this kinda video pushes the view that fractals are the way to go, so people who wanna try them, bump into the 5% (that kinda often contains assholes) and then they just lost all their gold on a tiny stat increase of their armor and 150 stat points that do nothing, while getting frustrated with group content that's governed by those who don't want them there.
    The only people doing daily cms are the ones that don't need the money and haven't needed it in a long time.

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I get your point, but as I said, I encourage people to give them a try and see if they like them before fully committing to anything. I've seen plenty of players try fractals and then fully gear a character in a couple weeks with the gold they make from T1-T3 dailies, start doing T4s + CMs, and become really good players. I've also seen people decide it's not for them and move to doing other things, options which will be covered in future videos. The greatest number of players I've seen are the ones that avoid giving fractals an honest try because veterans tell them that it's toxic or out of their reach. They CAN do it and a lot of new players I've talked to are super into it when it's shown to them without all the negative stigmas attached. Experienced fractal players generally do want more people to get into fractals. The thing that most find annoying is when people come in to higher tier fractals with little-no experience because they skipped the whole learning stage. Toxicity definitely is a real thing, but that's why we have guilds and training runs.
      I'm happy to recommend (and have recommended in the comments) a good community for new players interested in learning fractals in a positive environment.
      From a gold-making perspective, the fact is that there's no daily-gated reward that can match it and it's a really good goal to strive to, whether you go from scale 1 to 100 CM in 1 week or 1 year. You make back your gold in ~9-10 days and from then on it's just profit. The value absolutely is there for people who care to seek it out. For the rest, there's all the other options and more coming with future videos. These are, for the most part, the "best" daily gold makers based on time-efficiency, not the "easiest".

      Very few things give you raw gold in any appreciable quantity. Selling items for gold when needed is pretty central to GW2 and is why the game hasn't experienced the inflationary spirals that other MMOs have. Perhaps a video about how gold works in the game wouldn't go amiss.

    I'm curious, as a new player looking specifically to raise enough gold for my griffin/skyscale, why are all of these supposed "best" or "fastest" gold guides literally packed to the gills with activities that have almost zero impact on your actual current gold count? Yes, I understand the whole "building your account" mantra and the long-term effects of such trains of thought. But we, being most new/broke players, don't go searching for "best gold guides" etc etc for a lesson in Wall Street. We aren't looking at our currencies/materials like stocks and bonds. We want you to get straight to the point with pure, shiny, liquid gold making activities. Period. What can we do TODAY that will make gold TODAY. Not in a month, year, decade like some hedge fund manager.

    • @abree107
      @abree107  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your daily achievemenfs and even low tier fractals both let you make steady, but maybe slow progress towards those goals.
      Skyscale is a lot more time dependent than gold dependent. If you're not sure which one to start with, definitely do that one first. Griffon is much faster, but quite literally several times more expensive and it's also just not as versatile.
      Thematically speaking, dailies TEND to be more of a progressive thing. If you're looking for raw gold and you want to just smash that out ASAP, I'd suggest looking for a farm you like and just listing all the materials on the trading post until you get what you need for griffon. You'll be taking a small hit on your gold per hour doing it that way, but if you really want to do it as fast as possible then that's your best bet. There is also bauble farming that gives mostly raw gold if you can find a group for it.
      If you don't care about the skins they offer, doing your Dragon Bash dailies and choosing the 5 jorbreaker option every 5 days from the chest you get will also make a huge dent in your gold needs. Even if you decide you want those skins, the coffers and zhaitaffy alone add up quite a bit and you can sell those to have an immediate gold source that's accessible and half decent. Obviously that option expires, but it's really good for your situation.
      At the end of the day, the economy is set up quite a bit differently in GW2 compared to other games, which is why you're finding stuff that lacks quicker routes to gold than a lot of other games do. My approach as someone who enjoys trying gold-making methods and teaching others about it is to share the "best" options available within the constraints of what they enjoy about the game, not necessarily easiest or fastest. Plenty of gold guides will tell you to "just do octovine" because it's piss easy, but it will take AGES to accumulate gold doing that. No harm if it works for people, but it's definitely not efficient and people can definitely make more while still enjoying the game. There's no clout or money in making GW2 content and if it wasn't obvious already, I can go on for ages about this stuff. I do it because I like it, so feel free to comment questions or DM me on discord (abree107#7791).
