Lamar has never missed a game because of an injury from running. All injuries occurred in the pocket, but I don't hear anyone complain about Joe Burrow, who has had a season ending injury, Kyler, DeShawn Watson, who tore his ACL. Lamar has never had reconstructive knee surgery, yet we want to talk about his injury. His playing style has nothing to do with those injuries

Take away Jackson's legs he is an average pocket QB. Burrow having that injury doesn't effect his play style as much if he is recovering from an ACL tear.

He has reconstructive knee surgery, and guess what? His team still believed he would bounce back, and he did. They actually tried to invest in his offensive line to protect him. Lamar Jackson made a mistake by NOT HIRING AN AGENT. It's good to bet on yourself.... but sometimes you need a neutral mediator that will give it to you straight.
Washington and Baltimore are the only teams that do not have a settled QB right now. Carolina, Indy, and Houston are all going with the draft. Lamar messed up.

You’re right Lamar is gonna play like Lamar, so updating the résumé, we can see he will play great, but he’s only gonna play for like 11 games out of the year and you need a good back up quarterback for him when he misses those games from injury and you probably won’t win a playoff game maybe one every couple years. That is his résumé that he is injury prone, but plays well when he is available.
And, the Ravens could and should LOWER that offer in a few short minutes. Why? Because they were ALL IN ON LAMAR FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!!! And it was fine for Lamar not to have an agent as a rookie, it's pretty much predetermined. But that second contract? His agent would have already let him know whether he should take the deal or not. The agent would have already felt out who was seriously interested like Desean Watson. And while Lamar wanted to protect his future by not playing in the playoffs, I mean, THAT IS WHAT THESE TEAMS PLAY FOR!!! And that is the last two years straight. That is a problem!!!!! Don't really agree with Acho. If a 26 year old Aaron Rodgers or Pat Mahomes was in this situation I'd say 20+ teams would be courting them regardless if they had a qb or not at the time. LJ's problem is he keeps missing games when it counts in the last 1/3 of the season, the fact that he wants too much guaranteed money, and the fact that he has those 2 first rd picks as baggage depressing his market. He was offered a contract worthy of a player of his caliber, and he turned it down. He's put money over the team and potential championship IN MY OPINION.
This will be talked about decades down the road. Every nfl owner has talked to the ravens, whether it will ever be known or not. They all are agreeing to not dish out another deshaun contract. There are multiple teams right now and qbs who are watching this situation. If Lamar got fully guaranteed, Herbert, burrow, hurts will all ask for the same thing plus some.

They won't win anything from it, but they have made things very difficult for a lot of teams. You will not see any of the other qbs sign until Lamar does. You don't think all of these owners are talking amongst each other. If no other team offers him a fully guaranteed, it saves everyone down the line from having to do it. They will say "hey look Lamar only got this, u deserve this" they will make the deshaun deal an anomaly.

There was no downside to him betting on himself, hes shooting for the stars , at worst hes going to land in the clouds, but he wont get just what they would have given him if he didnt fall on his sword the way he did for the rest of the quarterbacks in the league. In most cases, the true value is usually somewhere in between the two sides. I guess we'll see what happens here.

This is the main problem with nearly every team. It's mainly because every team knows they'll need to change close to their whole scheme and move a lot of their roster to maximize Lamar's talent. On top of that you are paying a boatload of money to bank on a guy you aren't even sure would work with your team plus not seeing a whole lot of post season success to justify what you are going all out for.
