I happen to have a bottle of selección de Maestros brought to me by a family member and I taste vanilla, and of course caramel, toffee, oak, banana, citrus, but to my point not the regular vanilla we are all accustomed but the mantecado taste, if you are Cuban you will know what I am talking about. Trying to see if I can buy the 15 years, hopefully, but selección de Maestros is just too good. Cheers.
HC Seleccion de Maetros is definitely a very nice sipper... top shelf mixer (if you must mix it) I buy it whenever I can. 15 year... sipper strictly HC Vintage = Sipper but I'd recommend sticking with the 15 since the vintages are now over twice the price... my understanding is that it is essentially 15 year select barrels Union = Sipper + Cohiba Maximo = A work of art...Buy it... then just look at it in the bottle

Had to comment 'cause I felt funny when you said you were happy to have that much left on the Selección de Maestros (12 years) I'm cuban, whenever a bottle is open there's a 99.9% chance is going to end up empty (it doesn't matter if you are by yourself: It's GONE) I guess we are good cigars and rum makers but better consumers
Guys,whoever came at your page, pretty much doesn't need a history lessons,cause we know it all. I will dislike it since the title clearly says VS!!! Comparing one rum to another. And after 10 minutes of bla bla bla I just got bored and off the next video. Dislike.
I haven’t find the answer why always comparing food and fruits with rums and cigars. Who cares if it taste plum or vanilla if we know there is not vanilla or plums in the ingredients. Why mention something there is not there
