Thank you for the video
Very helpful
Yes your car can tow the caravan your thinking of buying until your wife gets involved at which point your going to need a bigger one! And then after you buy the caravan the wife gets involved and you need a bigger caravan. Repeat untill your pulling a bungalow with a hgv 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣👍
lol
Would like to buy my next caravan from this company...i like their videos and caravans and trust them.
What a brilliant video for anyone new to caravans!
Excellent advice. I was 40plus years in the trade before retiring and this man knows his stuff.
Thanks Chris 👍
Balls the same shaft is longer🤣🤣🤣
One point as a newbie last year and is causing us problems, is not the caravan weight or car towing weight but the nose weight. My car is 75Kg and it's not enough. Better with 85+ as a minimum. Also, the help and advice on this channel is priceless.
Yes a tricky one with nose weights and worth checking. 👍
My tow bar is rated 125kg, but car says 75kg max. Measured ours at 95kg,how do I get to 75kg without putting heavy stuff in the rear?
Just subscribed, love your channel
Great Thanks 👍
Ooh, Matron !
happy new year
Happy new year 👍
Make sure your waste water caps are closed I got mice through mine came up sink hole 😢
Great one for when not using 👍
You spoke about fridges… on my older van, the fridge is too big to go out the door. What happens when you need to replace a fridge on an older van?
Normally has to come through the front window. 👍
I remember when my girlfriend said I would be good for towing because although your balls are normal it seems your shaft is a little longer 😂
The front cover of my truma heater has fallen off. Has anyone any ideas how to reattach it. This happens quite a bit in transit.thanks
Under the top black cover, you can put screws, it's a fiddly job but the screws should hold it in place 👍
11 stone is not a small adult, it's a healthy normal size one 😂
🤣🤣👍
Are prices gonna fall, due to cost of living etc less disposable income
Dont think so, look at new car prices, shocking.
@@billytheghilliecars are falling very quickly so there is hope caravans may follow
Update coming soon on prices and the market 👍 but prices have fallen a good amount since last year.
Yeah used cars have fallen 10%
The sub £5k car market has held up
Be interesting to see if there is the same happening in caravans, whether the market is divided into cheaper and dearer caravans and the drops are higher at the expensive side@@thecaravanplace
Well if your buying a caravan only a dummy wouldn’t get a comprehensive damp test . None of the things in this video will hit you in the pocket like rotten framework will . Buyer beware , do a damp test . I repeat do a damp test .
Just see caravan handbrake is on ?
Yes, we move around every few weeks, but if sat for any more than a month, then the handbrake needs leaving off or move forwards and backwards every few weeks.
Thought new law 2021 says if you past test after 1997 you van now only tow a trailer up to 7m only ,and your total weight including your tow vehicle and trailer/van cannot exceed 3.5t .
No you can tow a 3.5ton vehicle and tow a trailer/caravan etc upto 3.5ton so 7ton combined.
@@thecaravanplace ok thanks
