    As one of the only three countries in Africa to be home to the elusive mountain gorillas, Rwanda is one of the most important and popular destinations of Central Africa. Allowing travellers from all over the world to wander through the dense rainforest of the Volcanoes National Park, guided by master trackers and experts, on a quest for those great primates, the One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is at the heart of the experience itself. However, the resort believes that Rwanda has much more to offer and welcomes guests to discover a country with a rich natural and cultural heritage, carried on by a local community that is proud and beautiful.
    As a companion piece to last week’s video of On The Trail, this new episode of The Visit follows Ivan and Rouslan Lartisien, co-founders of Grand Luxury, during their stay at the One&Only Gorilla’s Nest as they tell us about the destination, the experiences at the resort, and their interaction with the local community… all things that made them fall in love with the country of Rwanda.

    I agree, Rwanda is such a gem and should be discovered in a "slow travel approach" by making sure to trek but also to dive into the culture

    What an extraordinary place! The hotel looks so cosy and comfortable, the styling blends phantastically into the surrounding woods. So besides the Gorillas, the hotel is another very good reason to go there and spend more than only 2 days. I can imagine how calm and peaceful this place is, a perfect location to unwind, enjoy all the amenities and of course see these majestic animals! And the little village is definitely a must see! Thenk you for sharing these experiences!

    What's the bug situation like when opening those doors or being out in that forrest? Curious what that's like. Thanks

      Dear James.
      We are glad to hear from you and that’s an absolutely fair thing to wonder about.
      So being a wildlife retreat, there are going to be mosquitoes and other insects but both One&Only resorts have the best insect and other problem animal controls in place. They also, for example, discouraging guests from feeding the wildlife to not foster pest problems.All in all, we can’t vouch for the rest of Rwanda but at these two hotels, we had the best stays, in the middle of nature.

    I just checked it’s $4,000 dollars a night !! I wonder if that comes with gorilla trekking permits.

    • @agent4you2
      @agent4you2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought you were asking if the price includes a gorilla. Lol I read the gorilla trek is a separate price.

    of course you need this if you want people to pay 2000 dollars for a permit to watch the gorillas for an hour
