Before I got a minute in I knew she was a shopaholic. When people need to shop and they’re not just rich and bored there’s always a deeper issue. She needs an intervention and a therapist to talk about what’s really going on. She’s coping. It’s just like having any other addiction.

Parents being enablers to young adults is the worst thing they can do for their kids without harming them physically. Unfortunately, this is quite common in some culture and its considered perfectly fine for young adults and sometimes adults to remain completely dependent on their parents for their daily needs. Such a shame.

I have watched people for many years and many have some similar problems to this one. People love to go to the mall for no reason at all. They have no plan when they get their and end up coming home with things that they wouldn't have bought if they had thought about it. Just yesterday we were in Santa Barbara. My kids, wife, sister in law and niece were having a lot of fun. We wondered around State Street and of course everyone wanted to hit up the shops, that is except me. I stayed outside and waited enjoying the day. Had no need to enter any of the shops. I watched each of them walk out of what ever store with some new item. My thought was, going to the shops was not part of the plan for the day. Still here we are.
This woman takes it to the extreme though.

She goes on about if she had more bills than maybe she wouldn't shop so much, maybe this is the fix? I'm of course assuming she gets some kind of allowance from her parents which would explain why she spends $1000's a day but only has $7,500 credit card debt.

Was shopping addiction it's almost entirely connected to the purchase and studies have shown that going to a store and printing stuff in the cart almost provides the same satisfaction so she could even just window shop and then put it all away when she was done.
