One of the most beautiful places in the World! Glen Luibeg! Too old now to make the six mile walk from Linn of Dee but I went there many times back in the seventies and eighties, Love it! Excellent video as usual.
Another brilliant video guys, brings back wonderful memories from trips to the Cairngorms during the late 80s and early 90s. Lots of great wild camps and views...
Great to see some of these views again. My first Scottish hills trip in Aug 1978 was a couple of nights in the Corrour Bothy, did my 1st Munro (Ben Macdui), not recommended from here but we were young. A few years later (actually 41 years) compleated the Munros on the hill opposite your tent door. Would never stay in the Corrour Bothy after a strange experience during our stay. Footsteps outside approaching, came upto the door, latch about to be opened. I shouted no room, (only joking). No one enetered, we got up and checked outside, no sign of anyone or anything? Four of us heard the footsteps. Years later a book was published 'The Black Cloud: Scottish Mountain Misadventures 1928-1966'. One of the stories is about a tradgedy involving 2 who stayed in the Bothy.
Thats a fantastic story! Got me thinking though! (that’s it I’m no going back there!!). I’ll Probably not sleep tonight lol. Thanks for watching Rich.🥾🥾🥾🥾… 🐾 🐾 🦶🦶😳
Lovely images and edit from a very special place. You started at Linn of Dee, I think, and the wonderful old trees, hiding plantations, must be in the Glen Lui. Haven't done this area at all, so very inspirational, many thanks.
Hey Charlie…Thank you for watching! 😊🤙 you’ll know the area well I suspect. The different weather just make it’s a different challenge.. enjoyable rain or shine. Cheers mate. 😊🙏
Good for you enduring the wind and rain. It was the same when I first went this way to CB a few years ago with my son. It rained on us all night and he was in his bivy bag. At 7am I heard him whimper, “Dad, can we go home I’m wet!” We therefore beat a hasty retreat to the Linn of Dee and the cafe! I’ve been back a few times since to bag the Munros in the area. Never seen it in sun though!🤣 If you’d been up there today you’d have been in the snow. First snow of the winter fell last night in the Cairngorms last night. I was up over near Bynack More today. Keep the fab videos coming.👏
Wonderful start to my Friday with memories of a great walk in Summer 2019 from Glenmore, linking the 2 Lairigs via Glen Derry. Our 1st night we pitched our tent in exactly the same spot outside Corrour. Stunning footage from the Devils Point. I just love the Cairngorms. Take care guys x
Hiya Michael… thank you once again! It’s a place you could spend days in, isn’t it! Take care for now and again.. thank you for always supporting with your comments and your experiences. 😊🙏
Beautiful! I walked the Lairig Ghru from Coylumbridge to Linn of Dee in August and the midgies were pretty bad at times. Were they still around at the Corrour Bothy? In August they were pretty bad, but thankfully we chose to camp on the saddle below the Devil's Point and were pretty much midge free. And had a visit from the Reindeer which as a bonus!
Always nice to get a wee visit from the clicking reindeer. Na the midges we’re away on holiday. It’s bad around their in session though. Good shout going up the hill. Thanks for watching 😊🦶
Another lovely video. Bod an Deamhain of course doesn't mean The Devil's Point but something else beginning with P and really sounds more euphonious untranslated! On quite another note, roughly how much longer would you say your journeys take with the filming and staged shots than if you just did them straight?
Thanks Pete. Actually it doesn’t take a huge amount of extra time filming it. If this ever becomes more about the filming than the enjoyment of the walking we’ll be binning the cameras. We’re actually getting quite good at seeing the shots we won’t and getting them done, almost with breaking stride lol 😂
you videos are great. I love and miss Scotland so much!!! From which point did you start this walk? I really love the forest you went through. This is such a fantastic walk!!! Thank you for your great videos!
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 thanks, I'm on a bit of a timeline so knowing it is straightforward is really helpful. Hopefully get better weather although👍

Nice one D&L, good to see a bit of the Gorms again. 👌🏼
Cheers mate.
Enjoyed that D&L. Canny beat the Cairngorms. The time lapse from the devils point was excellent - just at the height of the clouds. Atb gordon
Thanks for watching buddy.. yeah we were really pleased when it came out that way.

Thank you for watching Dave. That side of the Cairngorms really is worth a visit. It’s a longer walk in, probably why it’s worth going.
Just back home from a week in Braemar, this is on the list for next time for sure :)
So much to do isn’t there. I’ve another Cairngorms video coming out soon. Hopefully that’ll hit the spot too. Thanks for messaging Howard. 😊🙏
Beautiful filming & a great adventure! I love that hike into Corrour bothy. Think the midges must be deid by now too! 🦟 Fantastic. 👍
Thanks Linda. Yeah and the spot you pitched at (I think) was was a swamp! Thank you for watching. 😊🙏
Hi D&L, Great start to Friday morning with a Cairngorms wonder. A mixed bag of weather but at least the top was clear when needed. Take care, Charlie

Hey Good morning😊🙌 Thank you very much for watching. We started from the Linn of Dee. A beautiful place in itself. Take care. 🎅🙏
Another great video. How long did it take to get up and down Devil's Point?
Thanks Euan. 😊🙏 It doesn’t take long but I can’t actually remember how long it took us. It’s a very straightforward route.
