It's weird to think this was my FAVORITE band 10 years ago. I wish they still sounded like this. John Gourley's lyrics just got repetitive and their music is mediocre at best now. But this, this is prime P.TM.
Similar experience. Found their demo online in HS, Loved it. So psychedelic and I think the 'roughness' of basement style recording actually was part of the appeal. The music is 'softer' now and too perfect. IMO. Still good.
And I'm here to say they just keep getting better, but their album Evil Friends was my fav of all time. Its the only one I can jam to every song still.
