    I wouldn't have thought a snow blower review would have been necessary in Klamath! Good job on the comparison. I've never had the opportunity to use or purchase a snow blower but who knows, the way the weather is changing, maybe it's time! 🙂

    I can highly recommend the cleats that you linked to in the other video. I used them for the first time after our snowfall here on my 45 degree angle sloped driveway and had no slipping issues whatsoever. Thanks for that!

    I am considering a cordless snowblower. I currently have a Toro 1800 corded (6yrs) and a Snow Joe 22in corded.I've looked at Toros 60v and Snow Joes 100v but have directed my attention toward the Masterforce 80v sold by Menards, which is a Midwest big box store similar to Home Depot.The Masterforce is made by Chervon which also makes Greenworks and Kobalt. Masterforce sells for $579.00 and Menards frequently offers an 11per cent rebate on all of its merchandise but it's only good in-store.
    At this point, I'm leaning toward the Masterforce. Finally, the Toro also has a plastic auger which broke on a driveway ice patch one year ago I replaced it but now the Toro itself is starting to break down.

    Great video!!! A more reasonable comparison would have been the snapper XD against the Greenworks 20 in. The Greenworks 22 inch is rated for 13 in deep snow and the Snapper is only rated for 10 inch deep snow so it would struggle more compared to the 22 GW machine.

    Good video! I’ve been considering a snow blower for years, but have never made the jump. I’ve run the Ego battery system myself for years, perhaps it’s finally time.

      Ego is great 👍 i would have purchased the new single stage with steel auger and 2 7.5ah my only reason for the greenworks was 1/3 the cost on sale so that did win the decision. Greenworks is good Machine.

    I really wish they would make better electric snow blowers that could handle high hard pack snow that is at the end of the driveway (where street snow plow trucks dump the snow). Even the best electric snow blower will not be able to handle this type of snow. I live on a main road where they use County Plow Trucks, they are much bigger then town/municipal snow plows. Even when I get 10 inches of snow, at the end of the driveway it is 3 feet of hard pack snow that the snow plows leave (and it is 25 feet long, because there is also a roadway shoulder to clear).

    The snapper looks to be the same as the smaller 40V Greenworks. Obviously the Snapper has double the voltage.

    Would have been nice if you reviewed the units' performance. Do they work? Under which conditions do they falter? Who would these be good products for?

    All the snapper 80v is made by Greenworks.

    What are your thoughts on the snow throwers / blowers that are interchangeable with the Power Heads?

    Anyone know if the 82V Snapper and 80V greenworks batteries are interchangeable?

    that snapper is identical to the greenworks 80v 20" blower I just got....looks like its made by the same company but in different colors.
    the 22" version looks great....but it'd starting to become pretty expensive at that point and i would rather spend it on a decent gas powered self propelled 2stage.

    Have you tried using these in your backyard on the grass❓ Will they rip out the grass❓

    • @TurfMechanic
      @TurfMechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, no I haven't tried clearing snow from the lawn with them but I have used the greenworks on my sidewalk next to the lawn and gone over it a bit on accident. It handled it just fine...but my grass is super short so who knows had it been longer.

    • @TurfMechanic
      @TurfMechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, ive been using the skid shoes, was tempted last year to stop using them on the gw, but ultimately decided to keep them on each time I used it.

    Does the two batteries interchangeable?

      Kobalt 80v, Greenworks 80v and Snapper 82v batteries have the same pins but the grooves on the battery are different. The battery compartments on the tools can be modified to accept the other batteries though. I modified my greenworks trimmer to accept my kobalt battery
