Yes KL has practiced Martial Arts in real life.She has a black belt in Tae kwon do. But even if she did not that really would not matter, bc her character was shown to be training since she was a child. But sadly the writers can have a women be better than Oliver. They cant have her beat him and have her come back later to still be better than him. Like what happened with him and Merlyn. Its gross.
Yeah logically Nyssa should be able to defeat Oliver and Merlyn. Given she has an entire lifetime of training and experience. Oliver only has a grand total of a few months training with Slade on the island. none of the others taught him anything. But the writers have decided to use her as a white belt novice , stand in Talia in their Batman story ripoff. I mean KL said in a panel that " yeah i guess merlyn can beat me today". She has not won a single fight at all with either of them. And its because she is a woman. I mean have you noticed that every single bad guy that is able to defeat or be a real struggle for Oliver has been men. Laurel should be able to defeat Oliver since her character is way better than GA, but nope they dumbed her down as well. I loath the day they decide to bring Lady Shiva in, because you know she will be dumbed down as well. And she is one of the greatest fighters in the DC universe, even Batman struggles with her. They still have not even rectified that gross marriage ; a marriage he had a choice and options in as well as practically helped force her into, and made the two of them insta friends even though Oliver has never once shown her any kind of respect. Its sexist even tho the writers claim its not. And now with this gross comic made by JB, the gross treatment of Nyssa and now her mom continues. it seems there is no depth they won't go to treat her poorly.
oh yeah the actress is , defiantly. At this point i think Mira from sparty was way more bad ass. I think it was sad, because that was the same line she gave to Lance when she and Sara left for Nanda Parbat. The milkshake thing was i think one of the best scenes with her and LL.
