Cycling the Pamir Highway - Tajikistan - by Gravel Bike / Part 2 - Khorugh - Lake Karakul

Part 2 of this fantastic trip in Tajikistan.
We left Khorugh and made our way to Lake Karakul. Franklin was still a bit sick and we decided to skip the Wakhan corridor and went straight up to the Pamir Plateau. Again we met amazing people and crossed the pass at 4566m altitude.

Good morning. we will start from Khorogh on July 1 in almost a month. We are six friends. We leave in the valley of Shakhdara a little to the south in the direction of Roshtqal'a then Javshangoz to pass the pass at Lake Kokbay and recover the Pamir Higway in Jelondy. Then we will go to Karakul by Alichur, Murrghab and the pass of Ak Baital. Afterwards we will go down to Rushan through the Bartang valley. Regarding food, did you have any problem finding it or did you take a lot with you? And access to water in the valley, is it easy to find (river, well or residents)? For accommodation, have you often slept in tents? In the Ak Baital pass there are ruins to sleep I think, at what altitude? Thank you for this information which will allow us to better prepare our trip.

We went end of June and it was quite hot when below 3500m. Camping was always fine.
