Production Design also helps to sell the effect a lot in the series as the location stays basically the same and just the look of the street changes.

Jamie Fenn , Inspiration = watching your videos and getting an idea: thinking of how that heat distortion could be done without Reactor. Noise + blur or so... Pls don’t misunderstand me, Reactor is great, despite of that I’m always thinking of how I would have achieve thar effect if there is no Reactor 😇
Just started watching Umbrella Academy so this is a COOL effect. Looking at the plugins, my laptop might melt before it can render this. Will give it a go.

Have you tried testing this out of Davinci 17, I am facing one issue around editing that when I have timed the clip and selecting both to create a fusion clip, After that in Fusion it was not showing me two media input, However I am just getting one media in there

@@JamieFenn thanks for replying. Was trying out a lot to follow along yesterday. But then eventually I gave up! Couple of things which weren't working like the first one which I told. Also the dirt one wasn't working! I tried all the options available but the effects wasn't working. So I thought I should better ask you if you tried updating to 17!. Anyways thanks for the reply. I had saved this effect in my playlist to try that out. 😃
It's hard to me doing 'cause I swapped Filmora 9 to DaVinci, these "Fusion" hud and these nodes which composes it I haven't any idea how to use it, how it works etc

i did this effect in DaVinci resolve 17 beta and downloaded reactor but when i go to the workspace and then to the scripts there is no Reactor?!?!
Same thing happened to me. I think its a bug. Try opening and closing DR and trying again. That worked for me.

My resolve kept crashing when I tried to play back the effect on the timeline. Rendering in place fixed it
