I got a DT a few years ago and it's absolutely one of my favorites. I had the early model that had the "33" mode before Fortin made a huge deal and Tony had to switch to "DT" mode
Another great pedal and review. I've always liked messing around with other boost options instead of an 808. Some rad tones going on with this pairing!
I have found that many of these boosts can work well boosting a Marshall, Peavey 5150, Soldano etc. Amp-In-A-Box pedal. There are literally thousands of guys with a budget open back combo that want to play Metal but for most obvious reasons will not own a Metal half stack tube amp or facsimile. I think we would all love you to show us how in these pedals sound stacked on perhaps an average MIAB pedal sound going through a dead clean sound on an amp. I myself use the very convincing Aura Amps Diamond ....Rectifier-in-a-Box that you demoed and stack both Fuzz pedals and a trusty Tube Screamer on it. I am singer songwriter fronting a trio. My tunes need Metal sounds from every decade from the 70's to the present. Often in a single tune. I can do this with pedals using a Marshal 50 watt Plexi thru a single 12" closed back cab tuned for the girth of a 4x12 but my amp must be set just before breakup and my pedals run at unity gain. Your advise has been very helpful and I am indeed a grateful fan.
planning to get this pedal i just have a question; can i use this as a boost pedal for my preamp pedal ex. an MXR5150 pedal into the fxloop of the preamp??
Deadhorse: TS-based. A bit more low end coloration. Dirty Tree: Integrated Preamp-based. Crisper top end. They will both do the job in front of distorted amps, just depending on what you want. More muscle? I prefer the Deadhorse. More clarity and tightness? I prefer this. Your results may vary. Get both and see for yourself.
This sounds so heavy, it has its own gravity! 🤘🏻

DT for the Win!
I was in HMAP before this was released and I just always hear good things about this.
Might go ahead and grab one
It's one of the best. I've had one for about 3 years now. And Tony is such a chill dude

so this rules out a fortin 33 review?
Why?
@@ArnoldPlaysGuitar basically same pedal, but i guess a comparison is a Nice piece of a vid.
Imperial pumpkin stout - you're speaking my language :)
How do you compare it to the Allpedal Slamurai?
What settings are you running the Zuul+, you are getting such great tone?
Hey Arnold in your demos of this and the Peppers dirty tree, which one would you prefer for just overall "fun" good sounds and experience?! Thanks!
Can u compare it to the dead horse?
