oh yes, we are really lucky, and the most incredible thing is that in recent years, in addition to her, we are finally seeing more and more incredible young directors! And it's been years since we've seen a generation of this quality (I'm not talking about directors who only make anime films) In addition to Ishitani, we have Keiichirou Saitou (Bocchi the Rock and Frieren), Nakayama (Chainsaw Man), Hirotaka Mori (Heavenly Delusion), Fuuga Yamashiro (the recent Dan da dan), Goshozono (Jujutsu kaisen 2), in addition to the various crazy minds of the Trigger studio (especially Ikarashi), and the now more than experienced, namely Shingo Natsume (OPM, Space Dandy, Sonny Boy), Oshiyama (Look Back and Flip Flappers), Tachikawa (Mob 100, Blue Giant) and Yamada (A Silent Voice and K-ON) And most of those I mentioned are under 35, only the latest ones I mentioned they are about 40 years old or so
This episode is perfectly beautiful..a masterpiece from a fan for a fan..i've watched it couples times from different reactors and still crying..all the memories from good old days
it's crazy how One Piece changed our lifes, i never accepted my entire existence fully in some point, of course i was not depressed, but i had some regrets, and thanks to one piece (specially the D ones like Garp and Luffy) i now only focus on my present and not fear anything that life gives to you, good or bad and i never regret my life anymore, Oda is the WRITER of our generation
Been watching One piece since I was 8, now im 20 and nami’s story still to this day has been one of my favourite back stories… YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS MEANS TO ME😩
Megumi Ishitani has that kind of magic where she envisions the story and exponentially transform a sequence of events and make it more impactful to us as viewers. This is what I felt here and especially on the legendary episode 1015. She is truly the GOAT of all directors!
Ever since we got those slice of life noodles commercials, I've been wanting more of that. This was fantastically done, and I could definitely watch more of these. Happy 25th anniversary, One Piece.
im not even really a one piece fan and checked out this on a whim and it STILL hit. the premise of following the common folk of an insane shounen world is great. and showcasing how the shounen heroes actually inspire people within that world is beautiful. shouts out to all yall one piece fans for getting this magical tribute to a series ya love.
Man i love this episode the perspective of these normal average people in the One piece world This world is crazy full of incredible and strong individuals, animals and creatures And because we follow the strawhats journey we usually see the lives of pirates, kings, rulers of the world government, big and crazy strong marines, etc... But this world is full of these people Normal people like us Watching them react to all the craziness that happens around the world is something else man...

The Robin I want to live Brooks it is good to be alive Thank you Bon Chan Our journey is not yet over to Sanji those are my puzzle pieces.
One of the best animated pieces of all time, it makes you feel like you’re injected into the story, I can’t say I’ve ever had that feeling before watching something.
The emotions this episode brought to the surface, a true "Fan Letter".. Thanks One Piece for being such a huge part of not just mine, but all of our lives..
This was such an emotional episode for me. This girl is literally me. I started watching One Piece a short time after it started in 1999. I was 13 at the time just like this girl was pre timeskip. I was somewhat lukewarm to it but as soon as Nami was properly introduced I instantly became more interested. Ever since then I have idolized Nami as a role model and feel like watching her during my teenage years had a major influence on my personality. And I am sure I am not alone in this feeling. She literally used almost the exact same words I have used in describing why I love Nami. That instead of crazy strength or an over powered devil fruit she relies on cunning and intelligence to survive. Hearing this girl voice my very same sentiments on my computer screen brought a tear to my eye. The finale where she finally sees her childhood idol in the flesh, had me crying so much I had to pause the video.
I have a little Sunday morning ritual of making a fancy cup of coffee and sitting down to watch the new one piece episode and I didn’t think we’d even get one today…. Boy did this make my day. I went to the gym, made amazing grilled food, and ended with a rewatch 😂 truly an amazing Sunday 🤌🏼
i know a lot of people have already said this but man it makes me emotional to think of these fans as a representation of us. Cause like them we'll never meet the straw hats but even then they inspire and mean a lot to us :( (also the fact that i'm also a nami fan made the last part 10x emotional omg)
10:12 she also couldnt tell cause she didn't have her glasses on. His face was still covered but had the long nose. Till he told her that magic phrase, but she's still blind lol
This fan letter is for the one piece fan that Wit Studio will show how much they can greater the animation of the one piece remake and Toei will come back in April 2025 to improve the animation of the final saga
Im going to tell u right now that wit will not reach these peaks they don’t have the raw talent that toei has when it comes to animators and of course Megumi Ishitani
@@serenityml1810 Not how it works man. Producers and connections are how u get top tier talent. As of now wit staff doesn’t have the pull to get deep amount talented animatiors toei has and frankly a lot of them aren’t interested and would rather work on the toei version with people they are familiar with and also toei has some of the best work conditions and scheduling
I knew this was supposed to be based on some stories of regular people but I didn't expect it to be so… perfect. All the discussions, the conversations, debates, everything over the years, the community that has formed, this is a thank you to all of us, those who've been following since the beginning and those who have recently begun their journey, this is for all of us. The VA cast singing We Go at the end is the icing on the cake.
So this is based on a series of short stories about people whose lives have been impacted by the Straw Hats. The only ones not shown are Sanji’s wherein he helps the son of his Impostor in the Fake Straw Hat Pirates and said Impostor has a newfound respect for the OG, and Usopp’s whom I forget offhand but you can probably guess that it’s Sogeking related. Obviously wouldn’t really fit with all that was going on in this plot. Either way, gives me hope that the Heroines short stories plus the Law and Ace novels get this same treatment because man, it’s so good. Also Mayumi Tanaka using her Obahan Luffy voice yet again for this special. And that ending, as if We Are couldn’t get any better. Maybe we’ll hear the full version in the Episode of Fishman Island.
These characters are all of us. We are the powerscalers, the theorizing bunch, the character stans, and the inspired and moved by the story and characters. When we hear luffy yell to set sail, we can't help but to yelll "AHHH!" back. The experience of one piece is not just consuming the story but interfacing with those who love it just as much and I think Megumi Ishitani shows it so beautifully by showing the various characters assembling the puzzle pieces together. And with the nami fan being the last one to put the last piece, its as if to say that the last piece was us all along and what we take from the show.
I've been following you for 4 years, I think. Since you started with One Piece. This episode is really what a lot of fans feel with this beautiful anime/manga. Your videos and reactions are the best!

I think it's pretty clear to everyone at this point that Megumi Ishitani is the right choice to direct the final episodes of One Piece. It'll probably be around 2030 when it happens, but I'm guessing Toei isn't gonna let her go anytime soon 😂
out of every piece of art and fiction I've ever experienced, one piece stands as the one that shaped my ideals since i stared watching many many years ago. thank you oda for your art.

I love how this episode not only shows how the strawhats inspire so many different people and affect their lives, you could look at this like us fans and how we behave. Do we have 1 character we deeply connect to? Does 1 character really speak to us and change our view? Do we like to compare and contrast them against each other? Do we really think Chopper is the most adorable? Do we quote their lines cause they are fun to say? Absolutely
imagine that marine guy (luffy's fan) accidently smile while looking at luffy's bounty poster, then get cought by koby, then they talk about luffy for hours. man,i wish i can draw a comic
I watched the episode knowing I would see great animation and direction. But DAMN this made ugly cry and laugh like it was some one piece peak backstory lol. Loved it!
I loved this so much! I think my favorite was the older Marine brother. I loved that his love of Luffy was so personal. I loved the girl too. I loved that we never got a clear shot of the Straw Hats, except for that one fan of Brook’s but she’s a fan of Brook the singer, not Brook the pirate and she wouldn’t connect to who Chopper is.
This episode perfectly encapsulated how I felt about life transitioning to middle school in 2016. What the girl said about nami is exactly how I felt about one piece and gave a new meaning to my life. Made me cry fr
The best way I could describe the Fan Letter's impact on the viewer and what it means to be a One Piece fan overall is through a Neil Gaiman quote- "Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."

FASTO (animated half of green bulls transformation, animated in the zoro vs king fight( zoro dodging an attack by jumping on rocks, zoro cutting the ball of water that bonny was trapped in. LONG STORY SHORT THE STAFF WAS STACKED WITH TALENT.
From here we know why Coby stopped the Marenford war
frrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I think it was easy to figure out why even before this. Coby was having a sensory overload, hearing the suffering of every Marine and Pirate on that battlefield. That would drive a normal person mad. Coby had to beg for the War to stop.
@ReiseLukas frrr frr but I literally didn't care about the small fry marines during the war, but fan letter gave me a whole new perspective on the marines 🤣 I feel bad for them now lmao
@@freemun95 fr
@@freemun95 Why didn't you feel bad for them before? They were people too
11:05 actual one piece powerscalers and it's so funny how accurate the writing team was for this conversation 😭
I always loved the bounty reveals because of this vibe, you get an outside perspective of how people view the events and see what old faces are up to.
Megumi Ishitani is a generational director. She is just built different
oh yes, we are really lucky, and the most incredible thing is that in recent years, in addition to her, we are finally seeing more and more incredible young directors! And it's been years since we've seen a generation of this quality (I'm not talking about directors who only make anime films)
In addition to Ishitani, we have Keiichirou Saitou (Bocchi the Rock and Frieren), Nakayama (Chainsaw Man), Hirotaka Mori (Heavenly Delusion), Fuuga Yamashiro (the recent Dan da dan), Goshozono (Jujutsu kaisen 2), in addition to the various crazy minds of the Trigger studio (especially Ikarashi), and the now more than experienced, namely Shingo Natsume (OPM, Space Dandy, Sonny Boy), Oshiyama (Look Back and Flip Flappers), Tachikawa (Mob 100, Blue Giant) and Yamada (A Silent Voice and K-ON)
And most of those I mentioned are under 35, only the latest ones I mentioned they are about 40 years old or so
Jaimi u are the most precious and wholesome reactor on the platform, thankyou for letting us watch along with u!
This episode is perfectly beautiful..a masterpiece from a fan for a fan..i've watched it couples times from different reactors and still crying..all the memories from good old days
Toei describes us powerscalers pretty accurately. Whether the Zoro vs Sanji beef, Mihawk, Whitebeard, Akainu, all quite spot on.
There are new yonko now, the strongest in One Piece
Vista solos all of them.
The akainu dude is me but with Aokiji 😂
it's crazy how One Piece changed our lifes, i never accepted my entire existence fully in some point, of course i was not depressed, but i had some regrets, and thanks to one piece (specially the D ones like Garp and Luffy) i now only focus on my present and not fear anything that life gives to you, good or bad and i never regret my life anymore, Oda is the WRITER of our generation
I'm literally obsessed😫💕
The Animation is so crisp and clear. Legit made me tear up from just pure happiness. I’m so grateful to be a One Piece fan. ❤️
マリンフォードにおいて、コビーの命を賭けたあの叫びがなければ、またあの時シャンクスが現れなければ、今回の兄弟は2人とも命を落としていたかもしれない。
これも巡り合わせなんだろうと思うと胸が熱くなる。
Man i love this episode the perspective of these normal average people in the One piece world
This world is crazy full of incredible and strong individuals, animals and creatures
And because we follow the strawhats journey we usually see the lives of pirates, kings, rulers of the world government, big and crazy strong marines, etc...
But this world is full of these people
Normal people like us
Watching them react to all the craziness that happens around the world is something else man...
13:58 this is me whenever my friends are talking about Any other badass Anime protagonist and they are joking towards me "don't bother him he is just a OP fanboy who only likes Luffy" like at the back of my head they don't know how OP saved me and I don't need to explain myself to them .
The Robin I want to live
Brooks it is good to be alive
Thank you Bon Chan
Our journey is not yet over to Sanji
those are my puzzle pieces.

DAMN i havent cried in a while what a genuine masterpiece I LOVE ONE PIECE I LOVE ALL MY ONE PIECE FANS WE GO!
Yeah this is really beautiful they outdid themselves with this seriously😭
Cause like them we'll never meet the straw hats but even then they inspire and mean a lot to us :(
(also the fact that i'm also a nami fan made the last part 10x emotional omg)
10:12 she also couldnt tell cause she didn't have her glasses on. His face was still covered but had the long nose. Till he told her that magic phrase, but she's still blind lol
Story presented in such a beautiful way…
Hats off to director
Every story is peak in One piece.❤
25:14 SAY IT LOUDER FOR THOSE IN THE BACK!
This fan letter is for the one piece fan that Wit Studio will show how much they can greater the animation of the one piece remake and Toei will come back in April 2025 to improve the animation of the final saga
I can't for Wit Studio remaking one piece 🔥
Im going to tell u right now that wit will not reach these peaks they don’t have the raw talent that toei has when it comes to animators and of course Megumi Ishitani
@@KurinKato1 Frr
@@KurinKato1don’t be so sure of that. People learn, people improve. There will be always someone better in a given time.
As a long time OP fan since day one, man I'm old af.
This EP is making me cry so HARD! Thank you One Piece for 25+ years!
0:14 You can see the future, right? lol
I´m not crying......We are all crying!
YES WE ARE!!!
😢😢😢
I loved your reaction on this episode I felt the same way it is the most beautiful amazing thing I have ever seen 23:42 ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I've been following you for 4 years, I think. Since you started with One Piece. This episode is really what a lot of fans feel with this beautiful anime/manga. Your videos and reactions are the best!
A really amazing episode. Keep up the great work on the channel!
i love youre breakdown , like ya as a one piece fan we love it , but i apprieciate( i cant spell) how you point out why and how the episode does that well great reaction and breakdown
Min 3 Jamie already feeling it! I knew it 😂😢😅😊🎉 what a heartwarming eps
I think we're witnessing the early transition from current One Piece to the next generation.
This is like the 10th time I’ve watched this episode/reactions to it, and it hasn’t lost its impact. A truly magnificent work of art.
Megumi ishitani will always be our treasure she was born with the greatest director of One piece so she will be protected at all cost and not let she died his work is truly unbelievable
One Piece truly got a special place in my heart. I started watching it everyday after school, right around the enies lobby arc, and I can say without lying that it changed my whole life. It helped me trough my toughest times, and it feels just amazing too strong One Piece going stronger than even, decades later. Its not only going strong, its the best One Piece we ever got. Thank you Oda, Thank you Megumi Ishitani, and all the other goated people
YOU SEE HOW WE DON'T EVEN KNOW THEIR NAMES AND WE ALREADY GOT ATTACHED TO THEM. I loved this episode.
The last time OP made my eyes teary was when I watched Film Z at the theatre. I thought there would be no better episodes or films after that, but this work is etched in my core memory now. Your reaction is also very genuine and relatable. I am looking forward to your future reaction videos
10:12 omg i didn't realized that when i watched it myself
She’s gonna flip out once the strawhats finish dressrosa
I love how this episode not only shows how the strawhats inspire so many different people and affect their lives, you could look at this like us fans and how we behave. Do we have 1 character we deeply connect to? Does 1 character really speak to us and change our view? Do we like to compare and contrast them against each other? Do we really think Chopper is the most adorable? Do we quote their lines cause they are fun to say? Absolutely
this episode is basically a love letter to all the fans.
imagine that marine guy (luffy's fan) accidently smile while looking at luffy's bounty poster, then get cought by koby, then they talk about luffy for hours.
man,i wish i can draw a comic
What if he become part of sword later down the line and he become friend with coby
the art style for this episode has got to be the best rendition of Oda's art style that works so well. This is the best episode of One Piece by far
I like how Jamie’s favorite episode isn’t even one of the official ones. 😅 This was a great special though.
Finally! I feel like most other reactions don't laugh or cry as hard. This is the best reaction so far ❤
We need more episodes like this: everyday people's perspective around the Strawhats. Loved this episode
I‘m a 24 year old guy and I proudly admit that I had tears in my eyes the whole EP
It was so beautiful
Solid crying at the end from me
The little girl got the best moment out of everyone. She saw Nami from a distance alive, well, and happy.
This episode perfectly encapsulated how I felt about life transitioning to middle school in 2016. What the girl said about nami is exactly how I felt about one piece and gave a new meaning to my life. Made me cry fr
Really a masterpiece of an episode. So happy right now
The characters in this special episode made me realize we are them in a way ❤
The best way I could describe the Fan Letter's impact on the viewer and what it means to be a One Piece fan overall is through a Neil Gaiman quote- "Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."
This was magical frrrr the feeeeels❤
G8 Arc: Finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary!
