Korean Fire Ramen Noodles Challenge!! Over the years and months, I’ve seen many comments requesting to participate in the spicy fire ramen noodles challenge. And finally, along with Trevor and Sonny, we decided to make ourselves the extra spicy fire noodles, and eat them together while hanging out on a group call. Mostly it was a lot of fun, and can’t wait to share it with you. #Ramen #SpicyRamenChallenge #StreetFood #withme
Khao Gaeng Ruttana (ข้าวแกงรัตนา) - Before the challenge and making the ramen, we ordered some Thai street food for lunch. This Thai rice and curry stall is located within Nang Loeng Market, and they serve fantastic Central Thai food. Their beef green curry is always delicious, full of spice, cumin and coriander seed.
Korea Fire Ramen - For the ramen, we decided we could have creative freedom to cook them the way we wanted to, but I also wanted to preserve and not cover up the original taste and spiciness of the noodles. So I made my in a little bit of a Thai tom yum style - with lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves. Then I added a couple of extra fried freshwater shrimp on the side. Trevor made his with a little bit of a Malaysian touch, including some ikan bilis, and Sonny topped his with whipped cream and a banana.
We all jumped on a group call and started eating! Stay tuned and watch until the end to see if we can complete the Korean 2 X, but in our case 4 X fire noodle challenge.

i think it depends on how you cook it, i find if the sauce gets hot (cooked or in boiling water) and then cools down its not that spicy. If you add it in straight to the noodles its more spicy

agreed to this. I've tried both ways and it is definitely spicier if you add the sauce straight to the noodles. Probably cause the sauce didn't stick, making it seem like you're eating the sauce separately.
Whenever I'm down, I flee to Mark's channel. He's just such a positive and pure soul. And he can eat ANYTHING! Plus he looks like my son when he was younger

Hey Mark. That's insane adding those thai chilis! I've seen those sometimes at Sprouts, and I know the smaller the peppers the hotter they are! I'm going to try the ramen, though. Just ordered a pack and a jar of the Chinese chili oil off Amazon. Usually I don't eat ramen (been trying to lower my carb intake lately) but I LOVE HOT FOOD!

My first time eating Thai 'green curry' I was practically sweating, in a fully airconditioned restaurant. It was tasty, spicy but not too hot to the tongue as I ate but the 'heat' from the curry was obviously had me sweating profusely. As I came to the bottom of the bowl I realized the chilies, actually counted there were 12 altogether with at least 6 variety. Surprisingly it didn't affected my stomach at all, just the sweating. It took me at least 5-6 times in a year to get familiar with the food. Now I kind of addicted to it. It tastes great and the 'exhilarating' feeling after every meal makes me come again and again to the restaurant.
I want to see Mark on hot ones 😂. He probably won’t even be phased

Irfaan Khalid I believe that show is no longer filming. Steve Austin was their last episode. S9 eps 12. It was mentioned in that episode of being the finale. I haven’t seen them making any season 13. Unless it hasn’t started up yet.

@EkiEdits No offense, I don't doubt Mexican Peep's ability to handle spice but Indian and Sichuan/South Western Chinese people literally won't touch food without spices so I think at minimum it should be somewhat spicy of course you could taste the sweetness but if you have tried that ramen I kinda think you would be crying atleast a little.

As a Mexican used to Mexican spices and sauces it’s not a breeze but it is quite enjoyable and delicious 👍
I've had a lot of spicy food. I think the 2x spicy is about half as hot as habaneros. But that's still really damn spicy.
I lo e x2 because it still has a tase of food in it. X4 has same hotness with x2 but there is no flavors on it. I cannot taste anything but the level of spicyness and hotness ig the same with x2.
I'm pakistani so I'm used to spices as well, but oh my god even the normal spicy ramen (Rather than 2x) kills me!!
