Best video i have found with explanation, thanks. I have a question if you don’t mind helping me out. Guy did a full 13 circuit AW harness on my 64 impala. Red top in the trunk, ran 1/0 power to a frame mounted distribution bar and the ground off the battery to the frame directly underneath the battery. Im getting weird things going on. My fan controller flashes err batt and my new led tailights are acting funky. He told me the battery should be clean with only one pos and one neg coming off and everything runs off a dist block. I called dakota digital and they say this is wrong and i think i agree. I want to run a 1/0 straight to the starter, one straight to the alternator and a ground from battery to block. Then go to the frame and bod and so on. Would you agree or can you tell me my best way to do it? I am also going to be running a 2000 watt or so jl sound system along with some leds, i am also running accuair e level with two compressors for airbags suspension. Any help is appreciated thanks
Run the Battery Ground to the center of the engine and everything in the engine bay goes off of that singular point. All in-cabin stuff goes directly to battery negative through distribution block.
@@RGHTBrainDesignDrive thank you for the reply, so run another ground off battery for the distribution or are you saying run the dist off the motor block ground? What about positive cables? I want to run a 10 circuit fused panel that is an ignition keyed on only panel for accessories requiring keyed on ignition.
So if the resistance across the body of my car (front corner to back corner) is only .3 Ohms, do I really need to run a ground cable to the front of the car?
Just ground to the body. Then a ground from ground to engine. Use that ground point for star grounding. A steel body has negligible resistance as long as the paint is removed at the ground point.
Hey Ryan, you tuned my FD about a year or so ago. Last year the the HKS TwinPower module installed by RPM burned up and I'm in the process of installing smart coils. Question: what the best way to ground the coil harness labeled "ECU Sensor Ground"? There's not a separate ground on the Adaptronic ECU, so should it ground to the chasis or the engine. I also need to check how my relocated battery was wired at RPM and may have to redo it if it is not in accordance with this video.
Damn this car is clean

Why would coils need to use the ECU sensor ground? I just grounded my coils to the intake.
im about to do a battery relocation on my fc. i now have so many questions on how to do it correctly
Why? I outlined it here.
dang cali cars are so rust free
First one here ✌🏽
