Working at the airport in 2002 I was able to walk through the area where the old Braniff ticket counters/baggage claim was then went up and walked down the long hallway/bridge which still had the colored fabric hanging from the ceiling. Also went up to the ramp tower that was still there. I really wish I took pictures. Now it is torn down and can find very few photos/videos of it. Also wish I took pictures of the old bar and stores at the north end of the north concourse before they tore it down when they moved the People University.
Amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH for adding this video (and the many others to your channel). I have enjoyed tremendously! Would love see more Braniff or Love Field 1960s/1970s videos!
Outclassed every airline at DAL as that was Harding Lawrence ‘s goal. The BI Jet Rail tied the parking lot to the terminal, and was equally impressive.
Arguably the most successful airline rebranding in history. And I love the Solari board. If accurate, I had no idea this was the first use of the board at an airport.
Best job I EVER had! I only worked at DFW for 8 years. Loved the entire experience!

Yes, I remember. Sigh.....
As a child my family flew on Branniff out of Love field. Great memories .

I love the style of the terminal. Wish I could see video of the Jet Rail. Braniff's planes had the best paint jobs, too.
I flew on them in the 70s. It was great because the flights were usually half empty.
How the heck do we not have facilities like this anymore?!
I spotted Lubbock on the board which is where I live.
That destination board is made by a company in Italy.
It's gone from 'The Man Who Killed Branif' to 'The Man Who Killed Boeing,'
Lol that is about right. Now I've head issues with the 787.
