I love the bottom drawer with the saltwash green on the wood best; it looks elegant. It goes really well with the two smaller drawers being white and the all wood dresser.

Wow! This was an incredible video. Jami, you did it again. I swear until right during this video I was never ever going to be a toile person. Then you do this? Gorgeous! Maybe even better than gorgeous!
This was one of the best videos you’ve done. You’re really great at lives. It isn’t just that you show us how to do it. It’s that Zeb says, “Yes they do need to see you painting.” It’s that you’re not just saying, “Hi xxx person,” you’re responding to questions and comments. It’s that Zeb asks us, “what do you guys think we should do.” I think I finally got why I don’t like it nearly as much when people talk to one person (even if only briefly). It’s that you include US while the other way excludes everyone except the “xxx person.”
I think you’re better at lives than just about any other TH-cam channel that I watch.
We DO feel included and like we get to be a part of this story. Of course, it truly helps that your story is so active and vibrant!

Love the toile stencil. I’ll be ordering and trying them on whichever grandkids drawer that agrees to it.
It’s weird because I saw a beautiful dresser in a magazine which was deep blue with a beige/white toile pattern stenciled all over it. And distressed so beautifully. So I went to JRV and ordered the Mama’s Damask and Bohemian Blue to attempt some kind of piece yet to be found. I really love the salt wash! I have to rethink my thinking. ❤️

In the middle of doing this same method on a vintage server with your bird toile stencil. I love both the stencil and the method you did with the salt wash underneath a layer of paint and then lightly sanding.

@Jami Ray, I’m spending my New Year’s Eve re-watching some of your furniture painting videos. Lol on your comments about sweaters. ”It’s too scratchy.” “It’s too tight in the arms.” “Make it a cardigan.”
Just ❤️ these videos. We’ve had below freezing compact snow, and ice since 12/26 (right we missed a white Christmas by ONE day).
I’ve made good use of those cardigans. I’m wearing the turquoise one now! Now that I’m oldER, I appreciate a good sweater. When I was younger, never could wear a sweater UNLESS it was a very light and cotton cardigan. They’re lighter than a suit jacket so it was my go to “jacket” in the summer. Truth be known, also the winter. I was always “hot flashing.”
I said that I HAD to have the cheerful turquoise sweater on New Year’s Eve!
I hope you’ve enjoyed your holidays! You guys have saved a lot of people - including me - during lockdown and the doldrums of 2021. I never even watched TH-cam before you guys!!

My OCD would make me clean off the stencil before doing the next one. I would also have to do one, let it dry, do another, let it dry and then finish.
