The Balance Sheet is a financial statement that gives a quick overview of the assets and liabilities of a firm as well as the amount of shareholder investment. While doing basic analysis or calculating financial ratios, Balance Sheet can be utilised in conjunction with other crucial financial data. The Balance Sheet is a crucial source of information that can fix any shortcomings of analysis. It can help you decide where to invest and where not to. Yet, you should know what to read in a Balance Sheet and also, how to fast optimise a business. Watch this presentation with India Today's Udayan Mukherjee to know more.

  • @IndiaBusinessInsights

He seems to be fuzzy about the debt-equity ratio. He talks about debt to Market Cap. The Market cap is a number that changes rapidly. In fact Market does not even directly enter Balance Sheet analysis.
Debt Equity Ratio is Long term debt to Net Worth (which is Equity plus reserves, essentially all shareholder's funds).

The number of views on this video tells why most investors fail. Make a video saying XYZ stock will be a huge multibagger in 2-3 years and >100K people will watch it.
