What Cameron said was crazy. It’s insane to think about how the people that get out and have done their service still have that hardwired into them to be on the ready and like he said “hyper vigilant” at almost all times. Shout out to these two, love the videos they are in. Thank you both for your service.
What Cameron said about being hyper vigilant is completely true. The sudden transition between constant danger and sudden peace is so jarring that the constant vigilance stays with you
"The hardest thing is the transition of coming back to normal" I'll give you all a hint at how hard that is. I was once a University athlete. My lifestyle was a rigged sequence of discipline and strength. I was nothing but a student athlete and a martial artist for years. I was not a soldier. But i experienced this fear and anxiety transitioning to a mundane life that wasn't that of an athlete. It was a strange terrifying experience. Now imagine if that time of my life was scary despite not being a soldier, consider how deeper the challenges combat veterans go through. It is far and beyond what any of us non military people will ever understand. Respect what combat veterans have endured. They went through hell so that you didn't have to
Yeah my dad also has that 'muscle memory' they were talking about. He was green beret and in service for 20 years, and whenever we'd go eat he's always carrying and facing the door, and if somebody leaves a backpack around for too long, we'd leave or move somewhere else. A lot of little things.
Man he was so damn right when he said "if We had to do 5 clicks we will be walking, we don't need reach the objective tired and heavy breathing" Thats one of the best tips for all the soldiers and expacially commanders out there Mission is above time always!
Nice answer to the ending question: Easy hand to hand combat tips? *Use your GUN* Though, my favorite question was "Are the stealth missions the most difficult?" But in all honesty, as Cameron pointed out, "Do you know how easy it is; especially in the Ranger Regiment to just drop the *QUACK* hammer on somebody?"
It'd be pretty cool to see these two, cops or someone similar react to the game Zero Hour on Steam. A lot like SWAT 4 and Rainbow Six Siege. It's made by a very small indie Bangladeshi team. Super slow and tactical. I mean, you could say it's room clearing the game. If you like the Clean house mission from CoD, or you love the house raid scene in Zero Dark Thirty, you'll love this game. The game is early access, hasn't been out for long, so it still needs some things added, such as cuffing people, but evwrything it really needs is there.
He hit home when he said you're expected to have an unbreakable mindset when you're in boots still. It really is hard to shake that and let yourself be "vulnerable" for lack of better word. The real irony is when working on getting VA disability you've got to be the sappiest and most pitiful soul you've even been in your entire life.
I love these guys, I'm trying to join the German military, depending on how good my application is, if it's shit I'm trying again and again, and it's probably that I want to be in the military that I like these guys the most from what I've seen on the channel.
Thank ya'll so much for the personal stories, I love the game commentary but it's great to hear the background on your guests, especially the military guys!
I don't live too far from TO, I could actually meet Cameron in person! How cool! He's right too, lovely city. Also, these stories they told are cool and intense, but they're probably nothing compared to the things they did in boot camp to, say, win a 12-pack of cigarettes, or using the porta-potties.
Have them react to the "Team player" mission from modern warfare 2 remastered. It'd be fitting since cameran was a ranger and in that mission, you're playing as the rangers
Hey Gamology, just wanted to say congratulations on revitalizing the trend of reaction videos, that was starting to go stale. It's a breath of fresh air and we get a peak into different careers from a more realistic perspective.

At 1:58 to 2:09 is probably something that everyone should learn to do because you never know when something bad might happen no matter how safe a city or state is
I'm pretty sure they were talking about MARSOC. They mentioned MARSOC earlier and wouldn't make sense for them to talk about the other two guests out of nowhere at the end. Not only that but the guy looked like his in disbelief/disappointed in himself. The end seems more like a blooper
My school friend of mine was deployed with The Royal Regiment of Scotland in 2008 and 2010 as an officer. The stories he tells are mad. He worked with US Rangers in Afghanistan as an escort and said they were professional madmen lmao.
The vigilant thing I can relate too. Lived in Pakistan as a teen and it's not the safest of places, you were always checking everything out and that just stayed with me. Now back in Australia, everytime I'm eating out or in a public place, I'm always observing everything that's going on around me, who's walking in, what's that bag doing, who's looking at who and scoping out a exit strategy.
Planning for physical activities is huge. I did XC in high school and, there was this guy who ran 50 miles a week for 3 months, then when it was time to race his muscles were wrecked and, he couldn't keep up with everyone else.
