26 tackles, 0 missed against wales last week. He's not the flashiest, but he's one hell of a work horse.
Robshaw is a total grafter on the pitch. He leads by example and just gets on with things. That's the type of player you wanna play with!
I don't know why people are always saying "he's not a 7". He does make turnovers and jackals well, but he also stands at 1st receiver and links forwards and backs a lot, much like Martyn Williams used to do. And Nugget was one of the finest 7s in his day.
for me he is the best captain, he doesn't go on barnstorming runs, but he puts in the graft that has been missing for a few years before him, the graft that stops opposition tries and sets up the platform for wins. Class player should be regarded as one by other nations.
Dont know why everyone puts him down. Wouldnt have any other 7 than Robshaw for England.

Robshaw is at 6 is the very few England who has a claim to be too three four in his position in the world
Play him at 7 u forego a world class six for a decent enough 7

England play so much better with him in the lineup, it's just the overall of the team is better off with him at 6 which he is probably the best at in the NH, Stander is more eye catching but Robshaw goes through so much work, I wouldn't mind a Lions Backrow of Robshaw, Stander and B Vunipola. He basically sets the intensity for the squad and they struggle to play as hard without him in the lineup. If Robshaw had been available this Six Nations we may have been able to achieve that double Grand Slam and Tier 1 record, he's that key for us.

exactly, he averages over 2 more tackles than McCaw (who is second in international rugby for average no. of tackles per game) at over 14 a game on average. People who say he is average are the ones who don't understand/ can properly watch a game of rugby.
+BudHeisenberg I've been watching rugby for 45 years watched all the the great 7s...and take it from me......he's average. Why is it that the English rate their team and players so highly when their results are sooo average. They haven't even won a six nation in years. It something like 30 -7 in game v the All Blacks.......they beat them once a decade!!!!!! . He is massively overated as is the English team and players in general.
Its called support mate, you support your team and your players no matter what, why is it that only the English can't support and believe in their players for fuck sake?
+BudHeisenberg Support is one thing.......unrealistic over rating and arrogance is another thing. Ali Williams was spot on when he said England is the team everybody loves to beat......and it's not because they are the best..

Can you please do a Chris Robshaw 2016 tribute 'The Comeback'? After the world cup issues he was exceptional all 6 nations, the tests vs Australia and the Autumn internationals.
Think you'll make a new Chris Robshaw 1 after he has such a brilliant 6 nations & season for Quins ?

You guys must be just hating the welsh here for the sake of it, Warburton is an incredible player, one of the best flankers in the game. If you can't see that then you don't know anything about rugby. I am English by the way but I recognise talent in players regardless of their nation.

You can't really compare hooper and robshaw , hooper is a very attacking flanker whereas robshaw is a better defender

It isn't In real life. I am speaking in rugby. At least for the Welsh it is the greatest rugby rivalry. I hate every Englishman for about 85 minutes and the I love them again.

My dad is English but my mum is Welsh (and I was born in Wales) so I think of myself as Welsh. Sam war button had English parents.

Itoje should start at 6 ...I would even put Jack Clifford before Robshaw. Robshaw is a good player but itoje & Clifford are far better at 6 & 7. He was a good captain for England & got the upmost out his ability but he's not dynamic enough for me. Clifford and Itoje offer so much more.
You were proven wrong this weekend my friend, he was outstanding. 6 is his best position.
+Bona Fide Management Robshaw is always solid. He plugs a gap. The only reason he has started over the last 3/4 years is due to our lack in quality 7's. Itoje...Clifford are far better options going forward. They are younger..quicker..physical..both offer lineout options aswell. Haskell was class at the weekend I wouldn't say Robshaw was outstanding!!

Agreed, Robshaw is a great player, but my back row for the autumn internationals this year would be 6. M. Itoje 7. T. Harrisson 8. B. Vunipola, Robshaw as back row cover
Yeah that's better, but I'm not sure if Itoje will be quick enough to play at openside.
