This comment contains SPOILERS for this film. Interrogation scene is one of the key scenes which exposes couple of important key points. This is the scene where Saritha begins to develop her feelings of guilt. Saritha is both an officer of the law and a religious woman. But Saritha committed hypocrisy since she cooperated with her co-officers and her superior IG Bastin by concealing Varun's criminal activities. Saritha also knew the fact that Georgekutty and his family (Rani and their children) are normal people living as a normal family and also knew that Rani truly loved her as her own younger sister. Although Saritha was secretly working against Georgekutty and family and secretly wants to get information from them, she gets distressed whenever she "directly" sees Rani emotional which we can see in the bedroom scene where Saritha tries to comfort Rani when Rani starts crying. Saritha's emotional attachment towards Rani can also be seen when Saritha says Ranichechi (as a mark of respect) in front of her superior. That is also why Saritha also puts her eyes down when she sees Rani directly during interrogation. Along with committing hypocrisy and betraying Rani, Saritha made another massive error. Saritha was totally aware of Anju’s epileptic condition. This is mentioned by Rani during her conversation with Georgekutty (outside the house) in the beginning of the film. But Saritha didn’t inform IG Bastin about Anju’s epileptic condition. So IG Bastin and Geetha weren’t aware of Anju’s epileptic condition. So during interrogation, both IG Bastin and Geetha were under the wrong impression that Anju was acting. They didn’t realize the fact that Anju really had an epileptic seizure. IG Bastin thought that Georgekutty was using his clever tactics with his eldest daughter Anju just like he previously did with his youngest daughter Anu (in Drishyam). Saritha's guilt began to increase especially when Anju had epileptic condition during interrogation. When Rani becomes emotional and tells Georgekutty (while crying) about Saritha betraying her, Saritha stops recording the conversation since she is now filled with guilt of betraying Rani and also failed completely as an officer of the law. Drishyam Films (both Drishyam and Drishyam 2) center on Georgekutty and Family. But in Drishyam 2, there are 5 members in Georgekutty's family and Saritha is the fifth member. This is because Rani saw Saritha as her own younger sister and Georgekutty also encouraged their relationship. In the film’s first half, the director Jeethu Joseph cleverly takes time with the relationship between Rani and Saritha and we see the emotional attachment between them. So when Rani realizes that she is betrayed by Saritha (as seen above), the impact becomes really strong. Rani is shattered by the betrayal of Saritha and she falls onto Georgekutty for comfort while crying. Saritha’s betrayal is unbearable for Rani and Saritha also turns off the recording due to her betrayal towards Rani and her family. So both professionally (being part of Shadow Police) and religiously (being a religious woman), Saritha became a total failure at the end of Drishyam 2. Drishyam 2 strongly focuses on the topic of Love and betrayal through the relationship between Rani and Saritha.

There is also a direct connection between stories and reality. That is why ancient philosophers, scholars, etc. often told the reality in the form of a story.
