He gained a lot of confidence from the way Good Time was received. He got a lot of nominations for Best Actor last year, the longest standing ovation at Cannes, it was a big hit among filmmakers, lots of directors are calling him now, wanting to work with him. He also has his next 4 films lined up and announced, plus probably some that we don't know about yet. He's in demand and as an actor, that's bound to make you happy.

10 reasons why Robert Pattinson will be a good Batman:
1. He’s an incredibly talented actor. Remember Me, Water for Elephants, The Rover, Good Time, High Life, The Lighthouse, etc. proves that.
2. He’s already pulled off a cocky and charismatic billionaire in Cosmopolis. If anyone has what it takes to play a young Bruce Wayne, it’s him.
3. He looks like he’s bulked up for the role. Nearly every superhero actor works out hard enough to get the superhero physique.
4. He has the right height and chin for the part. Love him or hate him, he’s pretty much tailor made for the dark and gritty Batsuit.
5. He’s being trained for The Batman from the same guy who trained Keanu Reeves for John Wick. Imagine how intense the fights will be.
6. He’s done plenty of research for Batman. The amount of comics he’s read shows how much this character means to him.
7. He has support from Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan. Nobody should argue with the men who gave us The Dark Knight Trilogy.
8. He’s not the only controversial comic book casting. Nobody wanted Heath Ledger as The Joker but he proved them wrong.
9. He’s going to be the lead in the upcoming and highly anticipated Tenet. So far, two Dark Knight directors want to work with him.
10. He’s going to be directed by one of the best filmmakers today. Matt Reeves will direct a phenomenal Batman flick.

There's a cockney accent, a scouse accent, a Bristolian accent, a Yorkshire accent, etc. The are practically hundreds of accents which can be heard around England. The "English" accent that people stereotypically think of is only applicable to a tiny part of England.
