That is an excellent video of Arran under a great mixture of weather patterns. I live in Ayr so not so far from Arran. I climbed Goat Fell twice. On my first climb, just after reaching the summit, a cloud came over & so I had to descend by about 10feet in order to see anything. My second climb took me to the top on a very clear day indeed & the views in a 360 degree direction were absolutely superb. You were lucky with the views which you had too. Your video will encourage visitors to that beautiful island, I am sure. Thanks for that.

Thanks for your reply comment. Maybe you would enjoy visiting the 2 other main islands in the Clyde too. On the island of Bute there is Mount Stuart House which is a fantastic mansion with great attention to detail inside. Millport, on the island of Greater Cumbrae which is only about 10 minutes by ferry from Largs on the mainland, is worth a look too. The islands are generally quainter than the mainland. I think you would probably enjoy walking up Puck's Glen too; it's about 7 miles north of Dunoon, on the Clyde. That Glen is near to Benmore Botanical Gardens which mounts a small mountain; a very interesting location with good viewing points. There is also a Big Tree Trail where the trees are very thick & huge.
Worth it to spend one week in that beautiful place.

I went over on my bike. Stopped at corrie beach. Just stunningly unspoiled. Then went to lamlash and onto Blackwaterfoot. Lovely island.

There’s an old saying, if you can’t see Arran from the mainland it’s raining, if you can see Arran it’ll be raining in five minutes.

Fabulous video guys! 😊 I live in Ayr, Ayrshire, and absolutely love Arran. I sing it’s praises often. If you’re ever back in this part of Scotland, try the Seamill Hydro (West Kilbride) for a meal and/or a Spa treat or 2, lol, the views of Arran from The Orangery restaurant are absolutely stunning, particularly on a clear day. Also come visit Ayr and see Rabbie Burns’ country, and also Culzean Castle, and much much more… Best wishes to you both. 💕
