Literally started screaming when I found this, I used to do this all the time as a child and I got obsessed with tea again and been trying to find this ever since and Im so happy to finally do this again
I did not know anything like this exist. One of the fb pages I joined one of the ladies showed her teabag folding that she had made and just about everybody wanted to know how to make this. Your video was the first one on the list and you make it look so easy to do. I know what to do with the paper I have with print on one side. These are beautiful and will be making these for my card. Thank you so much.
I love that you show each step so clearly. I usually get the folding part of origami units but when it comes to linking them together, that is where I have trouble. Thank you for sharing. Deborah
I love your tutorial! So easy to follow and very well explained. Plus I loved how you were just you....didn't sound like some robot like a lot do when explaining stuff. Hope to see more of your tutorials. Thanks for sharing! A pleasure to watch. :D
Can anyone help me with where I can purchase the pre cut squares as seen in this video? Also, I'd like to purchase lace' templates but can't locate them either.
Super cool! I really love watching Origami! So much you can do with the pieces when you learn theart of paper! Turned out really beautiful! TFS! hugs!Linda
What weight cardstock are you using, I'm using 20 lb but it seems too heavy to fold smoothly. Is this the wrong weight or do I just need to keep practicing?
I enjoyed your video SO much. I appreciate you and you could NOT be more cute. I will go to your website shortly to buy some items. Thank you very, very much!
+Ann Betancourt Hi Ann! The teabag folding tiles I used here are 2 inches by 2 inches and are printed on printer paper from the digital files I design and sell on my website at www.origamitwist.com.
Hello! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, TH-cam doesn't always alert us when there are new comments! Yes, the ones at the beginning are all the same fold, just different colored papers. :-)
I made one for a card I sent using the free sample, and it's beautiful! I'm looking forward to buying some new sheets when I have some discretionary income to do so. :)
could these be made any size as long as the original 8 squares are the same size? Your tutorial was so easy to listen to, and perfectly explained. Thank you for sharing.
+hyndsver Thank you, I really appreciate your kind comment! Yes, absolutely, they can be made any size, provided all 8 squares are the same size. To obtain a similar effect to the one I've made here, you would also want to have all of the squares have identical patterns as well (either all of the patterns the same, facing the same direction or every other one with the same pattern, etc.). Of course, the pattern you go with is entirely up to the look you like; the options are endless! Happy Folding! :-D
+Origami Twist WOW I never really expected a response seeing that the video was from 2013 - What a kind person you are to respond in 2 hours. Can't wait to try - and will definitely heed your directions about pattern and facing the same direction - Thank you so very very much for your answer.
Your tutorial is great and I love your paper designs. I really like the blue you use here but I couldn't find it on your web site. Can you tell me how to locate it? It is one of the best I have found.
Sheena, thank you so much! You just made my day, I really appreciate it! :-) The printable that I used for this model is from the "Cool" Collection, it's the first collection in the second row here --> www.origamitwist.com/teabag-folding-collections/?sort=newest&page=2
Origami Twist PS - I love requests too...if there are any specific color combos or patterns you would like to see on the site, please let me know. :-) origamitwist (at) gmail (dot) com
what a lovely easy video to watch , i can see where i have been going wrong the middle folds ive had going the wrong way so raw edges to the front silly me.
Teabag folding was originally done with the packets that teabags come in. These days most people use 2 inch matching paper tiles, though you could totally use teabag packets if you choose to.
Good thing I love waffles, hey? 😉 In all seriousness, this video is 6 years old. I like to think my communication has improved since then. Thanks for the critique though! 😎
it wasnt meant to be rude...I personally like quick vids...you can pause and go back if needed...quick, precise vids are all thats needed...I love waffles, just not the speaking ones...😉

What I was told and I still do it is that you need a perfect square . I take a piece of paper and fold it over to make a perfect square .
