I want to play a tenor like neko,they seem cool,my grandfather played one decades ago.I might be good at it since I already play banjo and mandolin (I've heard you can tune a tenor similar to them)
The standard tenor guitar tuning isn't really that big of a hassle either, it's CGDA so pretty much just play the chord shapes you would on mandolin and then transpose them down a fifth.
