The unfortunate reality is that many are motivated to enter politics for personal gain rather than to serve the people and society. This misguided ambition often results in corrupt practices and dirty politics.
Same goes for civil services.
Most IAS aspirants want to become IAS for power & money. Very few do so for actually serving and developing the country. Same goes for almost all government job aspirants. They all want to sit idle all day adn earn salary, since thats what govt job is all about. This is why privatization is needed in india, to break the ego of these sarkari babus
