A+ to the cameraman👍 That SBR 2.0 is an animal. I've been on the fence a lot with this truck. Still love my 1.0 too much to pull the trigger😊 This video makes it very tempting.
I was very unsure about buying this truck. Not cheap, and not made for the sort of driving I like to do. But I am so glad I pulled the trigger. Excited to see what this is like when it has traction. :)
Well.... lol. I actually had took some video of while I was cleaning it and forgot to put it into the video. :/. Maybe I will try and put it in the next video.
Thanks 👍. Yeah I wasn't expecting it to drive as good as it did. It's going up to +11C tomorro so most of our snow will be gone. Figures! since I just got my EGO electric 2 stage snow blower last friday.
Great vid Jason !! Had mine since last Nov , as you describe , it is like a larger UDR with more power !!! Also , like you said , instead of beating the pizz out of it , enjoy driving it for the scale looks / driving characteristics . The thing that I break most are the front bumper / skid support , especially in the cold . In one of my vids I show what the truck is like with 500k in the rear diff , great upgrade IMO , makes the truck drift more like the UDR which has a locked (spool ) in the rear . Looking forward to your upcoming vids on this truck !!!!
I am definatly thinking of tunning the diffs. I would like to thinken up all three. I will definalty check out your video. I'm curious to see how it ran with just the thinker rear diff.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Great Video Jason! I doubled up all the stock oils in each Diff from stock also put 70wt in all the shocks and finally I dropped the springs back one hole on the trailing arms , drives and slides great. Mostly followed Chris Higa's(Designer) guide on tuning the truck.
That’s a nice truck I think. I’ve been really pondering the idea of getting one. Driving rc in the snow sure is fun unless it’s too cold like your previous weather 🥶. In western Canada here we have been stuck in a cold snap of about -20 to -30C temps and no sign of a break yet. Great video thanks. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Yeah I saw that in the news this morning. Crazy! We get cold weather but this year has been mild and not much snow. The SBR2.0 has been a blast. A very fun truck.
Cool vid. Love the truck . Have one myself. A couple pointers to help u in your experience. U can remove the whole cage with the body still attached. Brings it to 10 screws instead of 20+. Keep extra bearings and a couple replacement bumpers on hand. And of all the vitavon u could buy.. get the center trans alum case 1st.. I do live in warmer climate so that may be only me. The gear that vitavon offers for the center trans is also a major upgrade I would do. Just for the longevity. All my opinion. U may have better way. Enjoy ur rc✌️
love the video great job. how do you think it ranks up to the udr thus far? and any chance we will see any on road cars on the channel, for example a infraction or xo1
Love the Vid, I had this SBR in the cart but bought the Mojave instead because I knew it's a beast & won't break, but after seeing your vid I will buy the SBR also, It's so cool looking.
You might want to cover the vent holes in those wheels, but if you want them vented from there, use a semi permeable mesh or something, the holes on there, let an awful lot of debris into the tires and foams.
I own both and quite frankly was expecting the sbr to be at least as scale as the udr. It isn't. Bigger yes but more crudely done. The udr is so smooth in appearance and running it's clear the engineering at traxxas was he'll bent on setting the standard for this type of truck. Losi is playing catch up and they fell short in matching scale points. I would give ruggedness points to the sbr. It's certainly built well and is very smooth. A quality truck. More so than I expected. Depends on your activity choices on which truck to purchase. The udr could easily be a hobbyists shelf queen. The sbr, not so much.
I liked what you did with your Super Rock Rey. I have the SBR 2.0. Is it worthwhile still getting the SRR? How are you still enjoying the SRR? How do they compare? Thanks!
The tabs on my esc broke in just a couple runs, double sided tape now 🤷♂️ I can say from someone who lives in Alaska though, winter shows every weakness much quicker
Salt from the snow will do that to cheap alloy! Rub them down and airbrush them and give them a good clear coat matt or semi gloss better with the semi gloss nothing will stain them or start pitting the alloy again they just haven't been treated with a seal and mthe salts eating in to them but it's only surface be easy to remove even with a kitchen scouring pad if repainting afterwards
Hi from Vancouver island in B.C. hows things over in flat part of of the country where you can watch super baja rey drive away for 3 days lol come on over bring yur rc,s and we will get some Tims my treat I,m Bill and keep the vids coming pls.

Love that truck!! Great video. Would been keen to see how you clean and maintain the truck after you run it 👍🏽

Awesome run in the snow Jason! I'm surprised that it got any traction at all 👍 Your right it looks so good driving around 🤩

Good choice! The Mojave is an awesome truck. But the size of the SBR is just wicked.

Been on the fence about this or the UDR, great video! I got 4 acres to play with so I think I like the bigger size for sure.
Same.. i am going back & forth between udr & this.. i am going to go with the sbr 2.0.. seems more durable & powerful

Would be interested to hear your thoughts on this compared to the super rock rey
Wow Jason!!! That thing is killer in the snow! Awesome video! I don’t own one, I’m trying to figure out a snow basher myself. Kick As$ Brother!!!!!💯👍👊
Yeah it is a lot better than I thought it would be. Now the snow wasn't supper deep though. Sort of perfect for running.
Great video thanks
I want one 😁
Great video. I love my SBR2.0 maby higher wt olis in shocs...
How long run time did u get on 5500mah battery?
over 30 minutes. hard to tell since I was talking a lot to my son and moving around.
Hey Jason, how’d you get on with the Mt2 brace and motor mount for the Xmaxx?
I don't have M2C on my x-maxx.
