yeah the chevy had tire chains on, which made it real easy to get over that iced up hill. It ain't hard to follow a jeep as long as you can make the corner LOL
I luv that old yellow ford, I got a 76 stepside 4x4 with a 390 and a t18, 3" of lift and 12.50x33s, the 390 is out of a 67 mustang fastback totally rebuilt with a torquer cam, headers but using a 2bbl carb instead of a 4 bbl, with the 4:10 gears it feels like you could pull a house well at least a small one.
well I guess I should be bowing in the presence of the almighty offroad god here!! I run A/Ts on my daily driver, it does fine in snow, up until I start pushing it with the bumper, then it sucks. Thats where my mud tires start working better, however, once back on road in icy conditions, ya no mud tires, thanks. So, to round this out, there was no '4 banger jeep that made it up with no problem', nobody running A/Ts was able to make it anywere near where the M/Ts were going. Thanks for sharing!!
@BubonicPlague88 I use a rear backho tire for my 73 f250 and it seems to work although I must say that sometimes when I'm going through snow, I need even more weight than that. I have a stock 3" lift on 315/75/16 Maxxis that just runs right through the snow like a hot butter knife.
Man, I feel ya guys! Just got done with the snorkel on my '88 S10, 3 1/2" lift, with 33x12.50R15 Mud terrains...Does great when wheeling, but in the 2 and a half feet of melting snow, and SEVERE Lack of weight, I can barely tredge through that stuff. I get through (Eventually), but man, it's crazy. :D Need a heavier vehicle to do stuff like that or wait til a foot of snow melts. xD
Cool vid. That Ford is Bad... But the Chevy made it look like cake. I`ve always followed a rule of thumb... Never follow a Jeep off road with a pick-up but this messes that theory all up... LOL
But even more so, mud tires suck in the snow! Up here in wisco we take em off for winter, and put tall skinny a/t s on for go anywhere traction. . At least the smart ones do! Lol
@0804johnboy yeah this is an old video, it runs a 532 ci BBF now and the truck is completely setup for side by side mud drag racing rather then wheeling
And just from personal experience, my 67'willys cj5 with factory v6, and bald as fuck 33'ats walks right up t The steepest hill on my land where my 4,500lb fullsize rigs just bounce wildly while spinnin the brand new 31' mts. .. I like all full size rigs, but they just don't have the off-road prowess a jeep has, but then again jeeps are the only ones that are manufactured with off road use in mind! LOL
wrong, u got i backwards... my jeep tears through the snow in my wide ass bfg muds, but cant do shit with skinny swampers, but in the mud its the skinny that kills and the wide that gets u stuck... very cool video, id love to find something like that to do in the winter, i stick to just trails, hills, and mud... great trucks and jeeps on the vid
Those big fat tires just float on the snow! I could probably make it up with thin knobby's in 4 low. It could take a little while but I would just crawl right up. It looked like they were having a little trouble even on flat ground.
@mudfreak79 I like those dentside fords. my buddy has a 77, we put a 14 bolt out back and a 79 dana 60 in the front, it sits on 38" boggers and will go pretty good.
I'm guessing you are refering to the orange and white ford, it was a broken front ujoint. Its in lo cause he didnt have the power to use high and he still had 2 more gears before he was topped out in lo anyhow
that chevy at the end kicked ass!
There is that Chevy again...Makes it all the way up with no backing...
SWEET!!!
That yellow ford is bad azzed. Runs damn good.
BIG BLOCK FORD'S AIN'T NOISE POLLUTIONNNN !!
Rock on, I love winter wheelin'!
Man it's good to see old trucks still out playin. I love the yellow Ford. It's my favorite style of truck.
Fords got a great sound to the engines. Love the winter wonderland 4 Wheeling. Nice video.
Whoever owns the Yellow Ford, that thing is absolutely beast... love it! Good to see a strong '79 Ford tear-it-up.
Still coming back to a 12 year old video to drool over some dent sides and watch some bad ass 4 wheelin, the first guy sounds like me on film lol
OntarioRedneXXX haha it was a good day for sure! Glad the video turned out alright
yeah the chevy had tire chains on, which made it real easy to get over that iced up hill. It ain't hard to follow a jeep as long as you can make the corner LOL
that yellow ford sounds amazing

I love your truck. You have one of the baddest trucks on all of youtube, if you ask me.
Sweet ! That's one of the most off road capable pick-ups I've seen. Power Power Power Nice Truck
thats back when they made good trucks
very nice truck and motor. I have a 77 that is a money pit. keep making it faster and stronger.
Those tires cleaned out Perfect on the F250.

Good to see a few GP rigs on here. me and a few buddy's are going for a run tomorrow just what I need to get me in the mood even more.
no problem!! I hope some day to have another truck to go wheelin with since the yellow truck has since been turned into a race only rig.
Is that a 71 suburben at 1:15 if it is my dads got one but it blue with white top and running 35s.

that yellow ford goes pretty good
i wish it would snow like that that here in north carolina
Hell my 77 with 54 in boggers would tear that up
Aw the suburban had chains on at the end. A smart but a little unfair advantage.lol Nice video.

What exhaust is on the yellow ford, sounds good.
The yellow ford will beat every vehicle in this video
my dad has three scouts and they all have tall skinny deep treaded tires he never has to rev his lil v8's like that to go through snow
Dont know why everyone has to bash, im a dodge guy but i appreciate a well built truck, Nice rig!!!
thats an almost a perfect display of v6 vrs v8
love the swampers they are the best tires i ever ran
is the transmission stock and what transfercase does it have and is the transfer case stock also
Cool vid. That Ford is Bad... But the Chevy made it look like cake. I`ve always followed a rule of thumb... Never follow a Jeep off road with a pick-up but this messes that theory all up... LOL
Lol I love how the 4banger jeep is the only one to make it up no problem! Heavy trucks suck for wheeling.
But even more so, mud tires suck in the snow! Up here in wisco we take em off for winter, and put tall skinny a/t s on for go anywhere traction. . At least the smart ones do! Lol
all heavy ass trucks, looks fun tho
@garciaarmando12 stock NP205 tcase, trans is a modified C6
fkng love that yellow ford
@0804johnboy yeah this is an old video, it runs a 532 ci BBF now and the truck is completely setup for side by side mud drag racing rather then wheeling
How much air pressure you running?
whats in those jeeps? and what tires do they got
@JHowle0495 I was running fender exit headers, 3" exhaust with mufflers
so, did anything happen to that first truck, did it really break an axel?
Are You Guys aired down at all?
And just from personal experience, my 67'willys cj5 with factory v6, and bald as fuck 33'ats walks right up t
The steepest hill on my land where my 4,500lb fullsize rigs just bounce wildly while spinnin the brand new 31' mts. .. I like all full size rigs, but they just don't have the off-road prowess a jeep has, but then again jeeps are the only ones that are manufactured with off road use in mind! LOL
What kinda tires you got on that yellow truck?
Wonder if paddle tires work well in snow. I don't think chains will do anything unless your on ice.
what transmission does the yellow ford have in it?
did you put a different block in that truck cause it looks like you rebuilt it in another video
is your f250 a highboy? Nice vid as always.
alright so when is the mud bogs like in june right?
damn that snow is deep how much was on the ground???
is that out by the river by the race track?
bad ass ford
the yellow truck needs a less meaty tire he is just diggin
BGF ALL THE WAY =)
who's truck is the red one with white roof?
Id love to see videos of you and your jeep liberty in your backyard
dam nice suburban!!
wrong, u got i backwards... my jeep tears through the snow in my wide ass bfg muds, but cant do shit with skinny swampers, but in the mud its the skinny that kills and the wide that gets u stuck... very cool video, id love to find something like that to do in the winter, i stick to just trails, hills, and mud... great trucks and jeeps on the vid
Awsome rigs guys but what is up with that city truck burnt orange coloron two of the rigs.

yo mudfreak79 is that a half ton or a 3/4 ton?????
What Transmission does the yellow ford have
does the jeep have the HO i6
when I get the truck put back together HAHA. Hopefully April at the latest
Those big fat tires just float on the snow! I could probably make it up with thin knobby's in 4 low. It could take a little while but I would just crawl right up. It looked like they were having a little trouble even on flat ground.
Dana Faddis the jeeps all tried, few of them had doublers, tried in unltra low range but it didn't work. Full throttle assault is what finally made it
@KnutsonWrecking 3/4 ton, with the d60 front instead of a HD44
What moter in the yellow ford
@garciaarmando12 TCS torque converter, billet input shaft, reverse manual valve body, custom trans brake, etc etc
@mudfreak79
I like those dentside fords. my buddy has a 77, we put a 14 bolt out back and a 79 dana 60 in the front, it sits on 38" boggers and will go pretty good.
So the Chevy is th only one that Brought a Gun to the gun-fight...everyone else brought knives?
hehehe
I'm guessing you are refering to the orange and white ford, it was a broken front ujoint. Its in lo cause he didnt have the power to use high and he still had 2 more gears before he was topped out in lo anyhow
20 on the street, 12-15 off road (16.5 rims and no bead locks)
Thanks, I appreciate it!!
that ford is badddddddd
@guito688 yeah fullsize trucks are where its at!!
@JHowle0495 I have a 95 k2500 454 tbi with a 8" lift and 13" tires and I'm getting between 6-10 miles to the gallon. It's worth it..
in this vid it had a 468ci bbf, but now it has a 532 bbf
