i watch youtube exclusively, i kinda lowkey hate twitch. you should stream over here you'd do twice as well. or however extra well you equalize your time/content
Whether or not a creator makes more on youtube or twitch kinda depends on a lot of factors. TH-cam is really great for channels with general appeal that are not niche... for something like speedrunning its easier for creators to be on twitch where fans of the genre and game can easily find people streaming exactly what they want.
TH-cam just relies on the algorithm, and sometimes it can be difficult for me to even realize somebody I follow is streaming.
@@Shiftarus there are plenty of twitch streamers that take their speedrun attempts, or really niche gameplay (randomizers, super mario world, alttp, super metroid romhacks, speedrun attempts), and break it down for youtube. everybody always says 'the algorithm', but simply's videos already get plenty of views just because of his situation and personality. im not saying make live streams for youtube. but to upload more of his streams. bust out some shorts of his excellent gameplay, that's usually how you break into the algorithm nowadays. it's not impossible for him to be much bigger than he is and all he'd have to do is maybe hire an extra editor. it's up to him if he wants to give it that chance.
@@Shiftarus simply's videos about speedrunning seem to do the best on average and i don't think anything in video gaming is really niche anymore. there's a guy that runs the gameboy resident evil rpg and he has 35k followers
