Rename it, The Bear Burrito! Lol, it looks nice, Scott
Haha! I have had a few say that!! Thanks Kory!
Roll your poles up with the swag so they don't get broken when you load/unload/store the swag.
I have the 23 Zero Bandit 1100 had it now about 6 mouths love it TH-cam won't let me put a picture on your comments
I’ve seen pics! Looks quite nice.
Looks fun
Looking forward to more nights in it soon!
Firstpath you are always just right ahead of me! Frontier Decked, topper now a swag. I was looking at this very model when it popped up on my feed. Anxious to hear how you like it.
Very nice 👍🤓perfect. Serves it purpose...to pop up n sleep. Love yr awning on yr truck I also have a frontier
The moonshade was definitely worth the purchase and the top rack shovel holders make great awning brackets . :)
Good bit of gear mate. 23 make some good stuff for sure. Fun times. The music is shit though. 😝
I kept the mattress bag for my dirty washing. Airs it out and no smell after a savage weekend away.
Season the swag. Set it up with all the zips done and pegged out. Wet the hell out of it and let it dry real fast. Best to do it in summer and in direct heat. Your looking at the canvas shrinking. Sets the stitching tight. I personally soak it over night in a tub, then set it up in the sun... Onto my third swag, over 40yrs.
They're Paddington Bear buttons, its just a swag... Not a swag tent. 🤣 You Yanks are funny. Have a great time. I run a Darche.
Thanks much for the feedback. I had to laugh when I was editing realizing I was calling it both a swag and a tent. LOL. Old habits. If I recall, the 23Zero doesn't need to be seasoned but I'm sure wetting it down on a hot day sunny wouldn't hurt. Take care!
@@firstpathfrontier Every bit of prep is good mate and wetting it down will help. No worries at all and you will love it. Very popular bit of kit down her in Australia. Oh and just a tip, get a little bag or sorts to keep your keys and phone in when sleeping. It's a real bitch when you roll them up a pack up time🤣🤣!!!
@@243WW thanks for the tip. There are little side pouches perfect for keys, phone and the glasses.
I know you are right. But for us yanks “Swag” means something different. (It’s like the free promotional stuff you get from companies or at events) We need to add the word tent for people to know what the hell we are talking about. Here we call things like this bivy sack. It is not the same though.
I have a Gazelle tent and an American made canvas bedroll that I've use in & out of my tent in 30°F weather with a sleeping bag. This should keep most people warm.
Plus, a hack I've seen is people put Harbor Freight moving blankets on top of the ceiling vents to help retain heat.
The 'swag' is an evolution of the canvas bedroll. In the 19th century, men who travelled on foot from farm to farm in Australia for work and carried their possessions in a bedroll were known as Swagmen hence why we call it a swag here in OZ.
The bag is oversized because its designed so you can keep all your bedding rolled up inside the swag. Its good to see these getting noticed over in the US, its the most common type of camping setup here in OZ 🇦🇺
I’ve been eyeing these swags for minute now and especially the 23zero! I also have Gazelle and love it, but currently going through a different type of set up. The Swag will allow for a few different options, 1) right on my basecamp trailer, 2) overlanding with or without a cot, 3) easy to have packed with bedding and throw in a buddy’s vehicle if need be. My Gazelle will still see use, more when I’ve got some of the family coming or when I know I’m just gonna want or need that extra indoor space! Hope you enjoy it as much as I hope too!
Your decisions seem just in line with mine. Hope to get out one more time before winter but work now has my weekends pretty full. Thanks James!
I dunno, for a summer trip, that Gazelle would be my go to for the trip. I understand you wanting to use this in the winter, but with bugs etc, the Gazelle is where I'd be hanging out.
I agree …. That’s why the Gazelle stays! But it’s a nice option.
Can you get the gazelle into the back of your Frontier? I read that it is too long folded up…
You can in my shorter box but you have to angle it in which makes it a pain stowing other gear back there. The swag, though bulkier, slides nicely along the bed sides
Sure looks like a well made tent! Very cool, Scott!!
It's not a tent.
Looks slick, look forward to a follow up on how you like it in the cold.
I’ll need to get a diesel heater now. Some other videos show them working well in the cold.
