Uh, the Lawerence's found their success through Europe and now the States. Australia had nothing to do with that. Having that nationalistic pride isn't something I subscribe to....not even about my own country.
Making Australia proud!!! Motocross des nations should be exciting.australians should also give praise to the way the American fans and media/press have treated these 2 youngsters with complete respect and encouragement , Aussie's say thanks mate!!!
His style is something to see. I flagged Thunder Valley, and when Jett would come by, he looked like he was coasting, mostly because he was. He'd enter the turn much faster than the others, and a gear taller. He wouldn't overwork the bike like a Barcia-style rider would. He sure knows how to use a 450 to get the most out of it. Some say he isn't a sport-changing rider (like a Stew or Carmichael). I disagree. He really knows how to get the most out of a 450. Others are gonna have to catch on, or be satisfied with 2nd place.
Jett Lawerence has done what no other MX racer in AMA history, or MX racing history, winning undefeated his rookie debut premier season, and completing it with a perfect season. NO OTHER MX RACER HAS EVER DONE THAT.
He did it. Absolutely wild, clearly the best performance by anyone in AMA history. A rookie, didn’t grow up on the tracks, much different to doing it in your own backyard on tracks you’ve grown up on. I’m happy for him, but I hope next year we see a competitive title. I wanna see racing!
Bravo Monsieur Lauwrence pour votre performance, votre aisance, vous êtes un génie du pilotage. Vous avez réuni tout les cases du puzzle pour performer. . Bravo. Profitez bien de toutes ces années en tant que pilote pro.
I think it’s only really Americans that care about MXoN. It’s a sideshow to Europeans. I’ve never watched it, and I watch every round of 250/450 MXGP/AMA, have done for many years.
@lilblaster22 Man you're in for a rude awakening if Deegan ever makes it to the big boy class. Jett's going to toy with him until he throws a temper tantrum.
In this day and age of professional MX and bespoke MX bikes from the factories. Jett would have most likely won it the same, riding a Yamaha, KTM, Kawasaki, Husqvarna or even a Gas Gas... But for me, as a long time MX fan (since the 70s!), I was "stoked" Honda did it, had a rider that gave them a record that no other rider has achieved for them in the past, or any other rider in any other team, winning his debut rookie premier class championship with a perfect season. I personally think that this will never happen again. But hey records are made to be broken
Welp, there ya have it. Jett's dominance is legit. Sexton moving to KTM isn't going to be the game changer. I can't recall someone who wasn't winning started to because they changed brands. Yeah, there are some who changed brands and kept winning, but that's because they were dominant prior to the change. KTM isn't the brand everyone's bragging about, either.
As ANY other AMA champion has won their championship. You can only race the riders that are there. And Jett has also done the same here. You CAN NOT say, that he didn't deserve it. If you do, then every other AMA champion before him, you can say the same.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha Golden Golden MX Era to be an Aussie!!!!! Aussie riders have dominated the Dakar! And the ISDE! And now AMA MX! The Trifecta now!!!!!!
@@DH-ib9xc 😂 I didn t see it. He was under 2 seconds behind then he was almost 4 seconds back after that. Also go back and watch the gate drop. Jett dropped the clutch gate didn t drop pulled the clutch back in gate dropped everybody left and he was still 2nd in the first turn cmon man. Really
Honda "had" and opportunity that NO OTHER MX Manufacturer has EVER had in the history of MX racing. A rider sweeping his rookie debut season with a Perfect season. If Honda did not instruct team mate Chase Sexton to NOT race Jett in these last 2 rounds after Jett clinched his rookie Championship. Honda would have been fools. The only rider that could beat Jett in a Moto, was his team mate. Chase had most of the season to do this, he didn't. Honda I hope gave him the word! Even moreso that Chase had already won Honda its first SX 450 Championship in AGES the series before. Jett deserved NO pressure in these last 2 races of the season from his Honda team mate Chase Sexton. Weege/Ricky/Bubba can sell you the media hype that Chase was faster and just as mentally strong as Jett, and was trying to race and beat Jett at every opportunity..............well I didn't see it
@@samblack5313 But it was only this, week that Honda had the chance of having a rider on their books, that could win them a debut rookie MX championship with a perfect season. HRC clearly gave instructions to Chase this round, that if Jett falls off, falls back in the field, DNFs, to then go for the win for Honda. But if Jett was clear out in front, not to pressure him, And thats what I saw in the last 2 motos of the outdoor season.
@Mexxx65 If he beat him in that race, it’s over. It mattered, and he pushed. He just wansnt fast enough. Chase is a competitor, a lot of Americans didn’t want this to happen, understandably. He’s leaving the team, and the title sponsor of the team. If he could have beat him, he would have.
@@samblack5313 Totally disagree, given Jetts near perfect starts in both Motos, the race result was set, a Honda 1,2 Jett then Chase. There was no pass even attempted in the last round.
@@samblack5313 Chase's move to another team next year, has nothing to do with the way he rode this season. He is a professional MX racer, Honda HRC have been paying his bills for years now. He was a contracted Honda rider up until the last moto at Ironman. He had (was allowed) to try and pass Jett his team mate in the previous round. But clearly in the last round at Ironman, once Chase got within a few seconds of Jett in the lead, he held station, no passing attempts were made, Honda wanted another 1/2 finish (not having one of their riders DNF), and get the record for having the only rider in MX racing history to have won his rookie debut premier class MX championship without losing a Moto, yes this record was that important to Honda HRC, as they've had it tough in the premier MX class for quite a few years.
Hell yeah Jett! Making us Australians proud! 🔥
He's gonna have a stranglehold on the 450 division for awhile.
