The problem with a greatest hits of Eli is you don't get to see the comeback rides and just how insanely fast he was going to come up through the pack and spank everyone. Watching those live and watching the time behind the leader shrink from 10+ seconds to him winning was something I'll never forget. So glad he's still racing. Dude has earned his spot as one of the legends of the sport.

But I will say his highlight reels makes Jett look like a rookie still. Ricky had a better record than Bubba. But everyone knows a prime Bubba beats Ricky. Even Ricky said it. He literally said if I went fast he would go faster. And that is why eli is in the books as a great. Only MC beats his record I supercross. And Tomac is a motocross guy flat out.

Dude has something in him that happens rarely. Bubba, Ricky, Reed. The only one that possess that type of grit today is Deegan. You see it when they wreck. Then comeback and win. Not a normal wreck like a doozie. Bubba was king of it. He was possessed. Think it's also why he burnt out hard. Couldn't even talk about it for years till he made peace.
New fans don't realize ET was supposed to be the next GOAT (title wise). He still is for me, just doesn't have all the titles to show how fast he really is/was. JS7 said ET was the next him before he retired. 🤙🏼
Such a shame what happened in SX this year. I wanted so badly to see him, Chase, and Jett go at it outdoors this year. We got robbed of what could have been an all time great season. Especially with Ferrandis in the mix as well. Could have been a legit 4 rider title fight.

I feel we missed a lot of epic Beast mode rides by jumping from 2017 to 2022 in this edit. He had some mind blowing rides in outdoors 2018 and 2019.
