I am just so happy I was alive then b/c they are such fun memories of being excited to sit in front of the TV for hours waiting for my favorite videos to come on. You may not understand Madonna, but she is a literal living legend and deserves respect.

A lot of people openly express their disdain for Jimmy because they feel he's pretending. But in certain situations there's a kind charm in pretending a joke is funnier to you than it really is. Now people are criticizing her for her looks, weight, etc expecting her to be her young self forever, but she is 64, let her age how she wants. Icons from the 80's such as MJ, Whitney, Prince, are gone, but Madonna, she is still here with us luckily, possibly because as she has said in interviews, she doesn't do drugs, eats very healthily, and loves to dance. She takes care of herself in ways others may have not. She has always been goofy and able to laugh at herself in interviews. Maybe there is a health issue she wants to keep to herself. Just watched her Superbowl halftime show from 11 years ago, which I think is one of the best ever. She knows how to put on a show and be inclusive and collaborate with different style and new artists. Her concerts are still selling out from $200 for "cheap" seats to $1000's for up close and personal near the front seats.

For anyone that didn't grow up in the 80s, its hard to even explain her influence on pop music. Taylor Swift also has a lot of hits but hasn't changed fashion and culture like Madonna did. I was a rock kid at heart, AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith but I bought the cassette of Like a Virgin the week it came out. She transcended genres and her performances were crazy, Like Prince and Michael her legacy will be forever.
She had and still maintains a very regimented workout routine, and she's still insanely flexible. It pays off later in life, not that she is old. She's also very particular about what she puts in her body.
She constantly changes her sound with the times. She's a true icon. There are some things I honestly wish she would have not done. That don't change the fact that I love her music her spirit and her talent. Cause that she has in spades.
