These words are in the Bible and used in a non crude manner but rather informatively or matter a factly.
However, it still ok to take into mind people who may get triggered by certain words due to their past trauma. We as Christians are told to be take in mind of those who may still be immature or sensitive and even if your not a Christian this is still something to take in mind around others. This is just being empathetic and sensitive to those around you. Certain words trigger memory and reactions.

This is so true! I'm glad people are finally starting to speak more on this topic. When I was in my early to mid teens I remember buying lace, underwire push up bras behind my mom's back because I wanted to look mature and fit in with my peers. Looking back, it's so sad that we all found the need to sexualize ourselves as a way of looking "mature". Also, I love your videos Jasmyne! A lot of compression to the breasts (as with underwire or very firmly compressing sports bras) can decrease the natural flow of lymphatic flow from the breasts, which can lead to a buildup of toxic material and contributing to poor breast health in the form of cysts, tumors, cancer. Basically interrupts our Creator's design if we have too much compression. Scientists have discovered that wearing a bra doesn't slow down breast sagging, either. Anyway, if using compression bras, it is a good idea to go without them for part of the day, to stay well-hydrated (increasingly difficult these days for various reasons), and to care for your breasts with massage that encourages movement in your lymphatic system, and also in your armpits so things don't get stuck there, as often happens. There are various YT videos on this topic, unless they've been removed for some reason.

I suggest starting with bras with no wire. Wear them when you’re in the house all day. Get used to the feeling of those and then start working your way down in less supportive bras. Im 21 now and Im not 100% comfortable being braless, but what I do is wear a tank top under my t-shirts/hoodies and that helps me feel like im still being supported. It took me months to get to this point so just take your time!

They just give the bit of necessary support, if your breasts are not really small and you just do not feel them at all. I can't stand being in clothing that is tight. I tried Spanx once, in a store dressing room: got them halfway on and knew that I would never want to deal with such a garment! Bras are equally difficult because I have a big cup size. Then voila, after decades of dissastisfaction with bras, I found some bras without underwires or skinny straps, it's just soft stretchy fabric around the back and over the shoulders, and all the support is in the molded cups that provide the modesty factor over the nipples, and fasten in the front. It's sort of like a balconette bra, but not exactly. As a bonus, they lift and center my bustline in a way that makes my figure look better under my clothing, but without painful binding. My favorite bras of all time!

At the risk of sharing tmi, I practice modesty as a Catholic woman as best I can. I have found that wearing skirts long enough to suit my daily practices have made it easy and practical to stop wearing (and buying!) underwear unless it’s needed for my period. I’ve had success making essential oils to keep thing’s particularly fresh and moisturized, which has been a sort of age reversal for me. Cold pressed jojoba oil and optionally, a small amount of therapeutic grade tea tree oil if I don’t think I’ll make it to shower as soon as I’d like, has been a game changer. As someone who experienced many feminine infections in highschool, I can say these changes along with good probiotics have made my vaginal health better than it’s ever been, and I’m extremely happy and grateful.

I got the larger breast genes from my great grandma. Some would say I’d be the perfect Candidate for a bra but honestly I stopped wearing them over a decade ago now. It was to restricting and even effected my breathing as well as cause more back pain. Plus the sharp jabbing from the underwire into my chest was not pleasant. I’d also have more issues during that time of the month with my breast being more sore/tender and stiff.
Sense I stopped, I’ve been more comfortable. It’s easier to move around, I breath just fine, less back pain, & they don’t get as sore or stiff especially if I keep up on massages (to promote proper blood flow and avoid any blockages).
I just switched having a tight undershirt to hold them in place when I need or when I’m going out of the house. It was uncomfortable at first mostly because I felt so bare and my nipples were supper obvious but now it doesn’t bother me as much, as I’ve learned ways to cover them more if I need to or I just don’t focus on it and go about my day.
This is how things are naturally anyway and it’s better for my health and well-being. Plus I save sooo much money. 10-15$ undershirt vs a 50$ bra that warps in the wash… yeah I think we both know what any of us would rather choose.

Lovely! Skirt support and breast support are traditionally the two biggest reasons women wore/wear corsets, with skirt support apparently more important for most corset-wearers throughout history (looking at the amount of bust support most styles provided, as opposed to how much design attention went into making sure the corset supported layers of petticoats (skirts) while still allowing women to bend and sit). Cinching down to minimize the waist was never a factor for most women and wasn't even possible until the 19th century - less than a century before corsets were almost entirely replaced with bras and other support garments, most made with metal and lots of synthetic materials.

I have recently started making my own slips to have cotton underwear to stay warm but also not get sweaty (hot flushes are a thing). learning to make one own underwear is a good way to get more cotton or natural fibres if time is not an issue.

I wore mostly wireless bras and sports bras for several years starting off, went no bra for a few years, and then switched to a low padding bra with underwire in the last couple of years.
The reason I switched was for comfort, modesty, and aesthetic reasons. I have naturally low setting breasts so a loose sports bra tends to look more exposed than I feel is appropriate. Also gravity pulls on them and adds pressure to my chest when I’m braless.
I think I’ve dabbled in the full spectrum of bra choices over my life (lol), and choosing a nicely fitting underwire bra was the right choice for me. All boobies are different though, to each their own!

I have a wierd reason to wear bras - I can wear any bra thing, even if it's a thin, comfortable piece of fabric cut in shape of bra, doesn't really metter, as long as it is a bra. But why do i wear it? Because when I wear a bra, it's a "not pajamas" outfit, as I sleep in literally anything. So no bra = pajamas and bra = not pajamas. It helps me a bit with productivity.😅

It's really hard to find comfortable/wireless bras that don't show up in clothes! When it's warm out I'll wear a good amount of form fitting tops or things with a wider neckline or thinner straps, and I never want my bra straps to show so it's hard to find a compromise.

I’m 24 and I gave up bras when I was 17. I wear nipple covers that cover the whole breast & they are super thin from B-six. The silicon like material sticks to your breasts & there’s no sticky adhesive either. I’ve had mine for over a year. Personally, to me bras are tacky and uncomfortable. Being able to see bra straps or lines ruins an outfit.

I absolutely adore the pasties you linked. Specific clothing fabrics make my nipples chafe, so good quality pasties are a big need and those seem great. I also really want to dry dry brushing, I sometimes use my knuckles to gently massage all parts of my body and it feels so good, but dry brushing looks like it'd feel even better. 💗
Atm what I do is: No bras, lounge shorts or loose pajama pants, organic cotton period panties during menstruation, and pasties when needed for comfort. SO much better than previously wearing polyester panties & tight padded bras. Polyester gave me a yeast infection, so cotton is a must.
These are such very essential things and I appreciate how thoroughly informative this video was on the matter. ≽^•⩊•^≼🌷

i’m young and have always had a very large chest (have even been described as “the girl with the huge tits” by some man i’ve never met, very creepy i know) and i can’t ever not wear a bra without substantial discomfort. I recently got some bras that fit me perfectly (very rare bra size, large chest small waist) but they are wired! if i wear them for a few days in a row i get sore and my circulation is cut off. wish i could find a sports bra with appropriate support and that don’t make my boobs look like sacks of saggy sand.

    • @aelbereth6690
      @aelbereth6690 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

I sympathise! I also have disproportionately large breasts with a small waist (and a high waist/short torso too) and have also suffered creepy insulting "big boobs" remarks. I absolutely can't go without a bra but have found most underwired types uncomfortable (and the straps either slide off my sloping shoulders or dig in painfully if I shorten them...) Most bras also seem designed to enhance your breasts and make them more visible - I want to hide mine! So for a few years now I've spent money on really high-quality "minimizing" bras that are nice and smooth-contoured with good wide straps that support me well while holding me in, if you know what I mean. Like a sports bra but lighter and more comfortable for all-day wear. They really work for me, reducing my chest size and making the boobs less noticeable. It helps me feel more modest and less sexualised - just a more normal shape. I still wish I could wear a (British) size 12, but I am as I am.
I am a traditional Catholic by the way, and love to veil at Mass and while praying at home.

@@mercylovesI could have phrased that better. The thing is, I do agree - she does look gorgeous with her veil. But my point was that I see a lot of people now advocating for veiling, dressing traditionally feminine, etc., and the point of it is always stated as modesty and being humble and submission to God and reasons of that nature, not about one's self. So I think it's odd when someone is veiling and people comment on the wearer looking beautiful, because isn't the point to draw away from that? And how often I see people talking about modest clothing being flattering, I think they're missing the point. I'm not really a proponent of either though I appreciate why people are, so this isn't a personal thing at all, just genuinely confused about people's perspectives.

Even after having a baby, I don't usually wear a bra outside of my loose fitting sports bra, most of the clothes I wear are heavy enough to hide my nipples, especially in the winter. My boobs are still a B after breastfeeding. I have been looking into what the Victorians and the Edwardians were wearing. I have a couple slips that have some padding that I sewn into from old bras that had padding on the inside that I pulled out. I have been learning how to layer my dresses in the winter so I can wear them all year round.

In fact, bras can be utilized to enhance and highlight your breasts… so, yeah, that’s quite ridiculous haha. You can absolutely be modest without wearing a bra.
