Ah, it's pretty much gone now, I was just running my rebound too slow earlier (more restriction in the flow of oil makes more noise) :) Next week, I'll be dropping a race video with no music. It's pretty quiet.
So this works with a durolix from the cube hanzz 180 race
Very simple. How is the fork compared to say a Fox 36 fork or a Rock Shox Yari??
Fox GRIP you need to do a damper service EVERY time you drop the lowers, in addition to also replenishing the air/damper bath. rockshox i think its the same but just the bath fill. fox is most complicated now
Hey Grant, the durolux has more tuning options compared to the yari. It would be a bit closer to a lyrik, but still with more tuning options. The top end fox 36 would be the most similar in that regard, but the fox has more of a race feel whereas the durolux feels more plush.
I've had csu issues with both fox and rockshox, but the durolux has been problem free so far!
adding to BCpov's comment, the durolux is heavier.
I'm running one, I don't mind the weight, I have nothing against it so far
@@BCpov i found my raidon very unsensitive to small bumps, is it just my raidon or all suntour forks? how do you think the small bump sensitvity compares to a rockshox pike?
Does that apply to other suntour forks? I have the epixon and would that be the same process as this one?

Basically the same as my Fox 34 Grip except no bath oil. How are these foam rings getting replenished?
except with the new Fox GRIP you need to do a damper service EVERY time you drop the lowers. otherwise you'll fuck up your damper. so a bit more in depth on the fox side
either pull em out like in the video or unscrew the 2 bolts on the backside of the lower, next to the bridge and put some oil through there

I had a problem!! I loose the hex bolts down (1:45 and 2:03) BUT they don't unscrew, I turn turn turn but I cannot unscrew or screw back!! help meeeee!!!

Does it have to be 20w oil? I've always been told 80w and Suntour sells 80w on their website.
I'm not an expert, but people sometimes change the oil-type according to how they want their suspension to work.. I've even seen mixing two differente types to get exactly the consistency they want
I think almost anything would work but something thinner than 80w would probably be a little better as it's just supposed to be a little bit of oil to help lubricate the seal. But I can't see 80 weight being too thick. So if that's what you have you could probably just use it but if you're buying oil you might as well get something like 20 weight synthetic.
Also I'm pretty sure the oil on Suntour site was for the dampener not the seals but I couldn't find on their site so I can't say for sure if it was or
@@alexb.e7498 people do change out the oil to change the dampening characteristics but in this case it's just to lubricate the seal and a different weight oil wouldn't make a difference but if we were talking about changing the oil in the dampener( which in this case would be the non Breakside stanchion) then changing the weight of the oil would make a difference

I need to get myself a Suntou.....I mean wife, I already have a Suntour fork lolololol - Aion 35 2018 140mm
You guys need to know, the models with negative coil spring, may require you to replace that spring according to pressure you're using, for the fork to offer better performance. It's easy to switch them coils, they're very cheap, but out of the box, or on a new bike that fork -like my Aion, might not have the right spring for you installed. I'm very tall and skinny, so on my XL, I got hard negative spring. I should be using soft....and there is medium inbetween. So that XL had spring for fat people as prediction.
