Just because someone paid a shop to do the work doesn’t mean they are entitled or that they didn’t work for it . Money doesn’t follow out of trees or miraculously appear in your bank balance
There are builds like this done at home all over the country, need to get more of these people on, and less of the half million dollar unrealistic for 99 % of us cars.
Agree, the high end builds are cool to see sometimes, but these are so much cooler and to hear the story rather than “I sent my car to this company and got it back like this” kinda thing
God bless him for going with a carbureted big block and not a fuel injected LS swap! And very nice wheel and tire choices, I hate those little rubberband tires on a classic car 👍
I'll be 69 in March and in highschool 73 I bought a 67 Camaro 89,000 miles on it (a lot) for 775.00 rebuilt the motor at 98,000 it now has 110,000 and in my garage.
@@patrickjohnson7801 Awesome !! Get some miles put on that badboy while its still legal to drive these! Late 80s I was 19 and bought my first ride 67 rs 4 spd. Had to take out a loan for 1200 from Great Western. lol
@@gordocarbo I also bought a 65 convertible GT mustang with poney interior in 73 for 200.00 from a buddy of mine sold in 96 and in 74 bought a 71 amx 401 damn it was a beast, got married at 20 New car's came along, boats, 33 and 36 ' motorhomes came along 4xs and Dulles, told my self I wished my dad would have kept one of his old cars How cool it would have been. @@Lock_boy 1:40 is that granada hills those 2 houses sure look familiar! Theres mfrs that do aftermarket electric power steering, just an option. Love love love this car!!!!
Thank you, I am not necessarily a 69 camaro guy , but mad props to that man for having a vision and patience to make it happen, and to have is offspring involved, that puts this over the top!!
Hot Rod Magazine had a cover car just like this except red with black stripes when I was a kid. It was literally the coolest thing I ever seen. Grew up around German cars but there's still nothing cooler than a muscle car with the engines sticking out of the hood
Man please make more episodes like this one, everybody is making Cars with LS emgines and fuel inyección, but they forget that the old school can run a lot too
This car looks absolutely perfect. Those high-dollar builds are recognizable as Camaros, but visually compromised in the pursuit of building something unique and to the owners taste.
MUCH respect for this man who built his entire car. This is how it used to be done before wealthy people ruined it. 90% of the people I speak to at car shows have no idea what they have because they bought it from someone else.
Same here man. How I lived through that decade well....paying for it now. Great time to be young and muscle was still affordable! 3500 got you a real nice clean musclecar and 5k got something super cherry!
Wow ride safe bro. This is by far the best looking Camaro that i have seen. The colour the engine setup the tires and wheels are all so beautiful. This right here is my dream car . Congratulations
100% Street Machine. This is a good example of the cars seen on Van Nuys blvd in the 70’s. I could see the reaction turned into a brain lock, trying figure out what’s odd about it. That’s the feeling of a Time Machine. Pretty neat, so glad you did this one!
Just looked at houses in Murrieta last weekend from San Diego….. I’ll remember this badass car if we move there…… I’ll be in a dark green 69 Chevelle with 2 white stripes!
Garage built freedom machine! The view from the driver seat is as American muscle as it gets. Love the wheels perfect for that car damn nice ride, man. Killer video I like the drone footage
That's what it is all about. Build everything yourself in your own garage. Did the same thing minus blower. Paying someone else to build a car for you just feels different.
Awesome build and set up 🏁 Need more content on this old school and BIG BLOCK POWER !!!!! Less LS stuff 😜 Unless is like that Chevy Pickup Twin Turbo stick shift ✅💪🏼🏁
DUDE! Shawn! This car is what your content was designed for! This thing is GNARLY! The fact that he did all of this with help from family in his garage is so bad ass! Plus, it is my favorite color, BLUE! It is easy to see you really enjoyed this one. So awesome! Keep up the great work dude. It is cars like this and your "Oh SHIT/FUCK" face that keeps me watching!
anything that makes a man giggle like that is all right. I sounded like Shawn twin just watching him ride in this badass car and I'm a mustang guy!!!!! outstanding car sir! cheers
The Dexter reference😂 I do paint and body and yes Dexter out my garage. Years ago people would see it and say it looked like a Dexter kill room. I kinda knew what they meant but never seen the show. Just last week I started binge watching it with the wife and every time I see Dexter’s setups I think of my garage when I’m body working and painting.😂
My kind of bullet old school best one yet im building a 496 871 blown th 400 9" mini tubed 57 Chevy been 10 yrs in the process blown cars instant hit love the front end lift when he wacks the throttle bad azz! 100%
Sean never seen you enjoy a car so much!! Thats what these old cars do to ya. M/T makes a front tire his size with 2 choices in sidewall..one is pretty stout Car wont wallow at all turning. Stance is perfect on this
Those high dollar builds are great, but something cooler about the guy who built it in his garage 😎👍
1000000 percent
Agreed
Great opinion. However he does a mixture of both …
Just because someone paid a shop to do the work doesn’t mean they are entitled or that they didn’t work for it . Money doesn’t follow out of trees or miraculously appear in your bank balance
Yup.

SUPER content about a real guy and real car. Love that his daughters and wife supported his love for cars.
Nice! So happy to see a carb and a conventional motor. Old school!
X2
God bless him for going with a carbureted big block and not a fuel injected LS swap! And very nice wheel and tire choices, I hate those little rubberband tires on a classic car 👍
Tires are the epitome of 70s 80s even 90s. Love it
Some things never go out of style!!
I have more respect for this man and this build than most out their. It's just.. BETTER when someone does most if not all the work themselves.
Nothing compares to a big block Chevy roar
I remember Nelson speeding down Fairford Ave, in Norwalk when he was maybe 17yrs old in that same car, amazing what he has done with it.
Thank you Brother!
Man bring back the 80's/90's!
Very similar build to my 67 Camaro. It's something you have to get used to with everyone taking pics and videos when you're out driving around lol 🤙
I'm 65 now but when I was 16 I purchased my first car a blue 69 camero this brings back a lot of memories

Bad ass!! This is my cousin Nelson!!
Do you work on cars, too?

Love love love this car!!!!
That’s a beautiful car. So cool his whole family helped
What a beast of a car. To me it has old school with new school stuff on it.
This guy should be super proud of his build. Family project too! How cool is that!
My second favorite '69 camaro on your channel 🥰
The fast n furious Camaro was a good second to this one. Both just real cars.
Thank you, I am not necessarily a 69 camaro guy , but mad props to that man for having a vision and patience to make it happen, and to have is offspring involved, that puts this over the top!!
Awesome grassroot build. Much respect brother.
Hot Rod Magazine had a cover car just like this except red with black stripes when I was a kid. It was literally the coolest thing I ever seen. Grew up around German cars but there's still nothing cooler than a muscle car with the engines sticking out of the hood
That motor is a show piece. To think he did everything himself in the garage is amazing. Great job!
Nice that it has more of the original look/old school look then the way most people are doing cars these days that look less appealing
This car is pure American Muscle and just absolutely rad! 🤟🇺🇸
69 Camaro is my dream car i don't care what anybody says. I know they are way overdone, but they will never get old to me
Way this car is done talks to me!! Classic stance, wheel/tire choice
@gordocarbo Yeah, it's pretty sweet, ridiculously overpowered, but light it's a great combination
Family build !!! What a car brother!!!
Good job dude....great example of built, not bought! Nice machine.
Awesome car. What makes it even cooler is he built it himself. Mad respect for the guy.👊
Man please make more episodes like this one, everybody is making Cars with LS emgines and fuel inyección, but they forget that the old school can run a lot too
What a beast of a car! Just RAW
Love the family connection, every night in the garage. AWESOME!!!!
I’ve seen this guys reaction to a lot of bad ass cars and this one had his eyes watering.
Awesome build what a cool car guy and story, BIG BLOCK POWER is killer. Thanks guys for showing this beauty
One of my favorite builds on here, very cool!
Might be able to fit a EPAS steering system. Super nice car.
This video Hits Home, I have a 63 Nova with a Blown Alcohol Big Block, words can’t describe how much Fun it is to Drive! Great Video🏁🏁
Proof that a monster can be beautiful. The engine is a work of art. Bravo! And happy new year to all.
This car looks absolutely perfect. Those high-dollar builds are recognizable as Camaros, but visually compromised in the pursuit of building something unique and to the owners taste.
Love this hotrod! Nicely done by the owner and cool video 👍🏼
MUCH respect for this man who built his entire car. This is how it used to be done before wealthy people ruined it. 90% of the people I speak to at car shows have no idea what they have because they bought it from someone else.
I was in high-school in the early 80s. My buddy had an old S10 that was a serious sleeper! Watching your show takes me back 🤙
Same here man. How I lived through that decade well....paying for it now.
Great time to be young and muscle was still affordable!
3500 got you a real nice clean musclecar and 5k got something super cherry!
Great video!!! And love that shawn laughs through the whole video lol!!!!
No any other car is more impressive than a dude’s home garage built project. Love it!
Great stance, rim and tire combo. Badd ass car
love these old school builds! need to see more of these big block projects!
Nelson, that thing is an animal! Well done brother!
It's cool that he built it in his garage but it's only good for one thing and that's fine if that's what makes you happy and he clearly is.
Perfect Camaro ❤
Wow ride safe bro. This is by far the best looking Camaro that i have seen. The colour the engine setup the tires and wheels are all so beautiful. This right here is my dream car . Congratulations
Redemption for the EV Hummer!😊😊
This stuff never gets old. Keep it up!!
OK, now this is the real deal. Watching in the UK, high dollar builds are cool, but this Camaro is relatable and simply awesome 👍
Shawn, I haven't seen you laugh that much during a test drive before!!!!!!😀👍
That’s jumping and screaming out of my iPad …..Nice ride
100% Street Machine. This is a good example of the cars seen on Van Nuys blvd in the 70’s. I could see the reaction turned into a brain lock, trying figure out what’s odd about it. That’s the feeling of a Time Machine. Pretty neat, so glad you did this one!
Well said!! I grew up a few miles from Van Nuys, the st race scene was awsome though the 70s and 80s.
Just looked at houses in Murrieta last weekend from San Diego….. I’ll remember this badass car if we move there…… I’ll be in a dark green 69 Chevelle with 2 white stripes!
Gotta love a home built Blown Big Block Camaro !!

"OMG THE TORQUE!!" Bro was actually crying!! 🤣🤣👍
Garage built on a normal man’s salary!!!! My type of car, love it!
Agree!! Labor of love over decades...took me just as long
It can be done. I did it over 20 years. Blown Camaro did all of the work myself from a $2500 beater to a show car/drag car.
Sean never seen you enjoy a car so much!! Thats what these old cars do to ya.
M/T makes a front tire his size with 2 choices in sidewall..one is pretty stout
Car wont wallow at all turning. Stance is perfect on this
He kept the rally rims !!!!!
Massive blower, huge rear tires, garage build = perfect Camaro. Great episode. Greetings
Amaizing car + a family project......👌
