    Thanks for this review. Im buying it. I don't care if its "helping" me...I just want to create music with my limited music knowledge. I've been a visual artist for 25 years and have always been more than willing to bring in tools that make ny life eaiser and allow me more freedom to just create.

    I am glad I picked this up. It has snuck into my starting point quicker than I thought , and i'm actually kinda shocked this plugin delivered on the angle they sold it on. It is proving to make the whole process much more practical for me personally, then say something like a Scaler type product. With the sound quality, the lifetime new sound updates, and the baked in effects (which have also recieved an update called The_Filter, and 4 new sounds I think), the ability to take all of that and export to Midi if you want to use another plugin for sounds, is a whole lot of value to argue with! It's been good to me so far, and hella easy to understand at a glance.

    Wish it had a trial version
    I have studio by studiolinked how does this compare.
    I have seen you did studiolinked about a year ago, would this be any better.
    I am literally on the fence of getting the instrument.
    Your input will be highly valuable my friend.

    • @ArsineyMusic
      @ArsineyMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn’t compare they are two completely different instruments that do completely different things,there is no way to compare them at all.it’s just gonna come down to what you need for ya workflow.hopefully if u watched both videos u can get an idea of what would be better for ya workflow.if ur ever on the fence about something u should just look at what it is you NEED from a product and does the the product seem to fulfill that need at a price that’s worth it for u.idk what u need from an instrument or what has u on the fence but I’d say if it’s a price thing I feel the instrument is well worth the money.u can do a lot with the instrument as shown in the video.if ur just looking for a BUNCH of dope sounds that u don’t have to do any tweaking to that are just cool sounding right out the box for a super cheap price then maybe this isn’t for u.it’s just about what u need

    • @ArsineyMusic
      @ArsineyMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will say personally (and I really mean personally because my production needs may be different than yours) I find myself using The Instrument more than studiolinked.BUT,as far as value for money goes u get wayyyyyyy more sounds and samples with studio linked,so idk u just gotta do what’s best for u

      Thanks man I get what you mean about how they differ and the variables based on the what I would be creating and recording.
      Yes I agree about studiolinked has a lot more to offer value wise but I think I will grab the instrument and add it to my arsenal there are few things in the vst that intrigues my interest and I can't leave it to my imagination any longer lol.
      Much appreciated 🙏 just kinda needed a push off the fence.
      Peace bro keep creating great stuff 🙌.

    Some people will be mad about new software tools make music making easier, but kind of reminds me of math teachers who say no you can't use a calculator! You have to write it all out and show your work! Haha. It's good to know all of the music theory, but also calculators can make it faster

    • @smalltownglobalproductions

      I'm a published Hollywood songwriter and have been a musician for years. I'm a good musician but just don't have the time to record all of the various individual tracks play the instruments and everything myself so it saves me hours of time to actually produce something on the fly. (Also own a technology company). In the purest terms however it's always best for people to create the music themselves and then just use backbeats and so forth to accent what they wrote. That's why I call ayad tools AI Assisted not AI created. If you are truly a musician or artist you don't want the machines to do everything.

    Thanks for the review.Looking to purchase but do you know how does it compares to captin chords what is a slicker and more effective pluggin? What can the instrument do that captin chords cant??
    Mixed in keys (Captin chords) is less and been knocking around for a while.
    As looking at videos of both, and want to purchase one, but not many video out there on the instrument atm?
    Also do you need to be connectedto the internet for it to work? As I believe Captin chords you may have to why I'm edging to purchase the instrument if you dont need to be connected to Wifi when using it.

      For midi, i can maybe use this. But most of the plug-in AI's typically have midi presets that come with the plug-in, hence why the melody mode can make something 'unique' based on the chords. Idk just feels like midi wizard from unison (that plugin is straight garbage) if i can try this for a week for free then maybe ill consider of buying it, it can deff help a bit but most of the time i feel like its not melody that i want for the chords that i made (i make mainstream progressive house). Its a simple melody in that genre but a lot of times it comes out of ones person creativity.

  • @WonderBoggle

    Can it output to midi live, without having to export the chords first? I'd be interested in playing external synths with this directly, bypassing the internal sounds completely

    • @ArsineyMusic
      @ArsineyMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think it can do that

    • @juangarcia-br9rp
      @juangarcia-br9rp ปีที่แล้ว

      You can probably do that with the set chords the vst gives you, get the melody from the vst and then delete the chords and make the chords to your liking. Thats my guess on how you can bypass it. As for the sound just copy the already pasted midi into another track with the sound that you like and delete the old midi with the vst sound and you should be good. I dont have this plugin but thats my assumption on how you can bypass it

  • @ed_ms

    What I missed in this review was the best feature: record to midi.
    The sounds are ok but its best feature is switching the one long bar midi note into the real midi notes so that you can use it on another channel with even better sounds.
    The price is a bit steep (100 usd is a quarter of my monthly utility bill these days) but there’s a big chance I will do it.

    The Instrument, Captain Plugin Epic, Klimper, Chordjam/Riffler… aren’t they all about the same?

      Nope

    • @ArsineyMusic

      They may share similar features but there are also major differences. for example chord jam isn’t a “vst instrument” it’s more of an effect plug-in to help you generate chords,you would still need to rout it to a vst in order to chose sounds,but the instrument is both a vst instrument and a chord generator so it has both

      It may not be compatible with pro tools,like I said in the other message most vsts aren’t compatible with pro tools.if your buying a vst plug-in u need to check it’s compatibility with pro tools first because protools is more for vocal recording than beat making and a lot of beat making plugins don’t work with it.
