The drawings in this video when Red was talking about Dracula are actually from a previous video she did on the book Dracula for Halloween. She’s done a lot of special Halloween episodes, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein, the Wild Hunt and most recently the Saga of Grettir. Red loves Halloween so I’m pretty sure she has something planned for this year too
The animated clips are from a movie called wolfwalkers. It’s set during the time that Thomas Cromwell was in Ireland. He is the Lord protect or at least he’s implied to be the Lord protector in the movie. The movie is about a young girl, called Robyn, who meets a wolf Walker, called Maeve and their interactions . It’s actually one of my favourite animated films and was nominated for best animated picture in the year. It was produced but lost to a Disney movie.
Just FYI, alas the audio issue appears unresolved since the balance is still like 5% left ear, 95% right ear. :/ Great vid otherwise though, thank you. OverlySarcasticProductions really is a treasure trove of reaction content. I'd love to see more. :)
You absolutely have to watch Red's videos on Dracula, Frankenstein, and H.P. Lovecraft. In fact, I'm about due for my yearly rewatch. Speaking of the Beast of Gevaudan, it's the basis of the movie The Brotherhood of the Wolf, which is fantastic and a criminally underrated cult classic.

There's an old 19th century play about werewolves called Le Loup Garou. That's where the name werewolves call themselves comes from for the TTRPG Werewolf: The Apocalypse.
"Loup-garou" is just the French word for werewolf. "Loup" means wolf. "Garou" is a weird suffix that is itself derived from Germanic "wairwulf" (so the French word basically means "wolf wolfman") but has come to have the same meaning as the "were" prefix in "werewolf".
If you like the weird and creepy or just love to learn, I would heavily recommend Building The Perfect Werewolf by The Laziest Writer. ( I tried posting a link but the comment went missing somehow)
