    I find this video especially cool because I totally geek out on reciprocating steam engines..I know it's not possible, but I wish I could scuba dive down there and touch the engines.😍

      Brittanic would be easier to get to. You can scuba dive to it.

    I would be interesting to see what all the settings were set to before it sank

    did anyone else notice the Engine Room telegraph?

    • @stratiosastero6880
      @stratiosastero6880 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      engine room telegraphs were mostly installed on engine columns.
      at 6:17 you see astern plaque with handle to right.
      also can see ahead plaque but only ead is visible plus lack of handle or... these levers are bent downward.
      at 6:23 there is third plaque visible but unreadable. can recognize letter L and suspecting letter D or O to right and probably letter H or W to left side of plaque.
      at 6:24 6:25 and 6:26 you can see both astern (bottom) ahead (middle) and third plaque (top) but the top one is broken up so cant read what is on it.

      @@stratiosastero6880 Thanks for pointing out the exact time frame; I have it paused and can also see it clearly, isn't it amazing when items can be identified in all that jumbled deteriorating metal?
      I think the creepiest footage is within the interior when the bots stumble upon bed frames; and you know that someone was sleeping in that bed and left it never to return.

      @@Napp28 some people even died in those beds in third class rooms,not evryone evacuated.
      as for engine stuff there was wheel from stern wheelhouse recovered,only parts of it but they did get it and one or two engine telegraphs they picked one also from main bridge the stern bridge engine telegraphs were still attached to ship so they had to rip them off while main bridge one just did fall on floor so they could take one too..
      as for body parts,no there are not any remains in there,maybe white creamy substance around shoes and possibly buried in deep of ship hull.. we never explored deeper. only boiler room 2 was explored engine room and some cabins but there was no attempts to explore other boiler rooms except one to boiler room 6 but they just did look throught ladder.

    I think the latest 3D imaging showed whatever superstructure was left has completely collapsed probably making any access into the stern remote now 😢.

    I hope that isn't a big fishing net . Unfortunately it can sink in to those depths.
