Who would of thought 9 months later this mini submarine goes missing at the wreck with people stuck on board...chilling
and who would of thought 9 months later this mini submersible praised for being revolutionary and innovative is criticized for being unsafe and not being certified.
dude how is this a joke for me? i mean if its sooo dangerous down there how all these footages comeM? like multiple videos of the titanic and they cant rescue a sub?
@@markosmeini8697 well these footages came from the actual sub they are now trying to rescue and these subs are very small and don't have much capacity to do anything else than just observe, get some video and photos and that's it. it's not like these subs have massive arms that can haul stuff from the sea floor up 2.4 miles of ocean depth. Also, they haven't found it either. it's like trying to find a dime in Central Park at night.
Blame Esau aka the whiteman aka the devil
Well from what we're hearing about Oceangate as a company... Lots of people thought this would happen...
The underwater images of the ship is purely stunning.
@E Double uhh not really it was brought to fame when it got coined as 'the unsinkable' and the fact it was the largest cruise liner ever built at the time. the incredible irony i would argue is what made it so distinct and unique in its fame. without the whole unsinkable thing, the headlines would just read 'cruise ship sinks on maiden voyage'
E Double…..The Titanic would become more famous had it NOT sunk. It likely would been refitted and put into commission during the wars like other luxury liners were back then.
@E Double someone didn’t learn anything in school 😂😂
Thanks Liam, I don't have eyes.

I can say with absolute certainty that Titanic, the movie, got me into the real story of Titanic and, to this day, I love reading and watching anything I can about it. It's tale is truly tragic and heartbreaking.
True. Watching Titanic (1997) made me interested into the ship's history, architecture and made me wanna become an engineer myself. Not to forget, the Olympic class-liner itself, including Olympic and Britannic. I became fascinated with ships and how they were designed, built and every little detail, like Titanic's carpentry etc.
When I first saw the film, I had no idea it was based on a real life tragedy until I came across books and documentaries about the Titanic. If Cameron never made that film, I may not have been obsessed with Titanic and other ship disasters as I am now.
@@brendandahl8606 Yep. Count me in. It was Cameron's movie that broke free this huge interest in ships, like the Titanic, for me including getting to know all the ins-and-outs. It was a funny coincidence that the Queen Mary 2 was getting built around the time I watched Titanic for the first time, which only increased my interest in ships and ship-building.
Also, watching the behind-the-scenes footage and reading into the production of Titanic, seeing the top notch level of artistry and creativity, including the dresses/outfits, interior/exterior sets, casting and music etc., made me curious about the motion picture industry as well. That includes, me wanting to end up as a director or writer for a while. Since music and the other disciplines in the movie's production wasn't my area of talent. I really took a keen interest in movie production.
Finally, the Titanic by James Cameron has really been of great service to a multitude of different subjects, including history, engineering, politics and even memes. It has really triggered many, many people. On all levels and spectrums. No wonder Titanic got selected for preservation in the US National Film Registry in 2017.
Titanic was a long time ago forget about it. Get over it.
@@Staninnature95 Be quiet, are people not allowed to be interested in it?
So nice to be able to see the wreckage of the Titanic from the comfort of my own home
No matter how many times I see the titanic wreckage, I always get this deep sense of something like regret.. idk what the feeling is exactly but it is definitely an eerie feeling of loss and pain and never get used to the images of what such a beautiful ship has become and will always remain.
It actually won’t always remain, thing is deteriorating fast
My son name Levi who is 8 years old is obsessed with this ship for over a year now. Every new fact he tells me with the passionate in his face and vocal expressions is so heart warming. I hope my son has this obsession for a long time. I also hope he will be able to go down there one day to see it for himself. I'm so glad that there is a other person just as obsessed with this beautiful ship like my son is.
Maybe he’ll be one of the first to uncover mysteries from the ocean floor :)

@Tin Watchman wow
Horse kok
@Tin Watchman crushed AND frozen.
It’s crazy to see that some of the windows and portholes still have glass in them, some completely intact after the sinking which has the bow section slam into the sea floor at 35mph and under about 400bar of pressure. To put that into perspective, a jet wash’s pressure is usually about 10bars.
Looks like a lot of people came here after seeing the news lol
nice to watch the titanic for free on TH-cam innit
He nailed the Titanic movie question. It is what it is, the craft is superb, it is an action romance film, I personally think is an outstanding movie. And , regardless of opinion on the movie, the sinking of Titanic is now part of our popular culture.
Agreed
I was thinking the same thing. People usually talk so much crap about it but if it was never made a lot of people wouldn't be as passionate as they are. Not to mention we wouldn't know what the elevator doors look like. (We probably would have eventually but it was during one of the dives for the movie that they were first photographed)
What question?
@@speedtrls Unbelievably well said.
It's astonishing to think that the Titanic has been embedded in the sediment of the North Atlantic ocean for 100+ years and she's still got an incredible and cryptic story. I'm most baffled by the fact that the china plates are STILL in one piece after hitting the ocean floor.
I know this is natural, but I hate that it’s deteriorating. Also know this is a massive gravesite also, but man I wish there was a way to preserve her. Just a near-impossible task. Sad.
It always looks so tiny on the camera when as we know it was literally TITANIC. If I wasn't s**t scared of the deep ocean, and if it was safe and possible, I would love to swim around it and explore inside it. I really think it's time they made an exact replica of this boat. Not to swim on the ocean, but for people to walk around and explore and take photos and stay overnight in etc. They could make an EXACT replica, as it was in 1912. I don't know why the boat they used for the movie in 1997 wasn't kept as a sort of tourist attraction for people to visit.
Well, an excellent idea! Could become as a good project👌
The 1997 movie Titanic is kept and is going to a museum, it's a 1/20 scale model however, they didn't build a fullsize ship, just models, CGI and a bunch of separate sets.
It’s being made in china full size replica. Search it. It’s half built up to now

It...it was a cruise ship.
@@jeaniecameron295 no, it was an ocean liner. Cruise ships and Ocean liners are not the same
It's not intact. He said that in the video. It's just the bow section, that is propped up by the ocean floor, and is only about 5 Metres above the mud. The stern end and centre of the infrastructure in in pieces spread for over 200 metres along the sea bed.

They discovered a new technology, but the ship is disintegrating and has- for the most part, disintegrated to the point where many parts are unrecognizable.
Wanted to dive it myself, but I’ve seen the price of the trip continue to almost exponentially rise over the years. It used to be $60k to dive once on a 14 day “expedition”. Then it was $100k. Then $120k. Now it’s $250k. It’s gotten to the point where it’s accelerating way past the ability to save to do it. $60k and I’d go tomorrow.

Crazy to think, she has been in that spot since 1912, yet the world above her had completely changed. How many ships have sailed over her since, how many planes have flown over her since. The spirits must think the people coming down are from another world. Crazy huh?!
I wish they would get a camera to go through some of the entry’s/openings of the ship to take any possible new photos of the inside of the ship.
It's very hard, cause the camera system needs to be able to deal with tremendous pressure so the housing is extremely big.

It is due to the salt water and its location in the ocean. I learned of a ship that was found in the Antarctic very well preserved because it was in very cold saltwater. I believe it was a wooden Viking ship.
@@freeanimals594 the low temperature reduces the reactivity of the salt water with the iron parts, allowing the ship to hold up for longer.

It’s crazy how the titanic wreck is submerged in darkness. The way the Titanics bow comes into light when it’s illuminated by the Rovers lamp is so freaky to me. I love how the wreck is considered a grave or monument by those who’s loved ones died that night, and we should preserve it as much as possible, or maybe just leave it for the ocean, I’m not sure which would be more appropriate

It’s a shame how deep the titanic is sunk and how weathered it is. It would be monumental if there was a way they could make a net device to keep everything together and bring it out of the watery grave. There would be so much we could learn if it was brought up.
Well at the very least we can do that for other shipwrecks like Costa Concordia
@@Shinyarc I seen them do something similar to a very old submarine but it wasn’t in water nearly as deep, and I think that is the main reason it can’t be done. That and how gosh darn big it is. It would probably take 4-5 barges to bring it up in even in pieces because I mean just simple math states that your not gonna have a very good day if your using something a 1/8th of the weight of the object your picking up and I don’t think there is equipment big enough to drag it out. But I could be very wrong. I’m no expert.
That has been a debate for a long time. At the end of the day people lost their lives. It’s considered a graveyard and a memorial.
