Young folks need to understand this. The people who pressure you to do what they think you should do will not take any responsibility if that decision you made based off their opinion turns out to be bad advice. So take advice with that understanding and ultimately make the decision that's best for you.
They should not take responsibility either because it’s always up to the individual no matter how much pressure is put on us we still have the ability inside us all to make the decisions we make. No one else
Tbh it's bad to look for external validation anyways. I’ve had so much respect for Tyler and that feeling has grown over the last 12 years. I’m actually a little older than he is, but I have learned SO much from this kid; I struggled with bullying to the point that I was not functioning as an adult. I was severely traumatized. I absolutely discovered him at the right time: not only did I love his music, but he truly helped me reframe the way I saw the world and how I could function in it. I still struggle a lot- but I come back to videos of Tyler spitting nothing but truth and it helps me gain a much healthier perspective. It doesn’t hurt that he’s hysterical. The key goal is this; surround yourself with people that support you, that don’t tear you down. Straight up, just be around other artists, of any kind, and keep going til you find your home
Another tip: minimize your time on tiktok, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc. instead of looking for other people thoughts or ideas, create your own. Do your research. Read shit. Learn something new. Find things that inspire you in the real world and offline, because a lot on social media is just trends that are super easy to hop on cus it’s hyped up. It takes a lot of time but that’s part of the process. A lot of people don’t take the time to know who they really are till they old. And the feeling u get when u finally really know what you love and value is amazing :D
I learned to be myself by first knowing my vibration my essence and what really resonate with. It’s was pretty hard to me to found out because in this world there so much stimulation from outside people who are « themselves » lol and you can be lost in their vibes and essences or their ego etc. I try my best to stay in my vibe to alway be myself. Thank you for your work and what you share I needed this help like many people.
That is so true, in this social media era we are so exposed to other people's personnality that it makes it easy to forget and lose ourselves if we have not strong idea of who we are
This might be single best video I have ever seen. Especially as a fellow artist also doing rap the "do it and move on", "that idea has brought us here" and "don't get married with stuff". The more I write the more I write, even "I'm probably talking in circles" - I just feel so understood. I was looking forward to finally really click with Tylers infamous wisdom and genius. Let's see what that discography talks.
Growing up in school I experienced everything he said, there were times I was actually better than most and good enough but not included on the list. Now as I’m older and look back at it I have a fuck then mentality
Love these videos. I feel like there’s a takeaway I was constantly seeing here to various. Taking yourself seriously is your most important asset and your biggest downfall. Finding the balance of confidence and humility is a common trend in some of the most iconic artists and is a very hard balance to reach. Many great artists failed by losing that balance on both sides and it’s a battle everyone faces. Thanks again for sharing and best of luck to anyone reading!

The best thing I’ve done in my life thus far is be my authentic self choose your happiness over others living in the idea of others is such a miserable thing and as long as you don’t have your own form of individuality you’ll be trapped in that cycle
this is a great channel man. helps me not get too lost and focus on myself and be myself. its hard being a creative, not to be swayed by the world around us. Trying not to be slaves or puppets to such an oppressive force the world is. thank you.
Tyler the creator always very different from the rest and doing his own thing and stay in his own lane and thats why he is beautiful human being. Respect💯🔥
I like the idea of "carry yourself with leadership-like qualities and you can follow yourself" It feels like the motto from Gurren Lagann, "Believe in the me that believes in you, believe in the you that believes in yourself"
Here's the thing. How many people have to go around believing they are amazing and creative people to have just one of them to be make it. I mean, when you listen to Tyler, he makes it sound like if we follow our own paths we will all be happy and successful. Yeah, it worked for him. The people who follow their dreams while trying to be real and end up getting crushed tend to not get video montages made with their thoughts. They just leave bitter comments below. 😊
“There’s no higher powers” is really wild to say. God is the ultimate creator and He is the best creator and we are made in His image and that’s why we are all able to be creative in the way we are and it saddens my heart to hear whoever was talking around 3:09 saying there’s no higher powers helping Tyler but in reality and the truth is, it’s the true God in heaven who made the heavens and earth that made Tyler so creative

Radicals is forever my favorite song because it taught me to be myself and fuck others opinions and do what I wanna do in life. Ever since listening to radicals my first time i started writing scripts and making my own shirts and designs.RADICALS MY ANTHEM SO TURN THE FUCKING AMPS UP!!!!
I remember my former father once criticized me for wanting to become an artist cause I wouldn't earn much if i made it like a profession or career. he wanted me to join the army instead. I hate to admit that he was right but that didn't stop me from drawing. I guess he just doesn't understand that I only do it because I enjoy it and not for validation or reward like money or fame. Regardless of what your background is or what identity you chose, if we can learn one thing from this man. its that you have to learn to believe in yourself. you mustn't lose your way. don't let anyone take away or ruin your own happiness. just remember, it's not an act of being selfish. you have the right to prioritize your own well-being too. if you have a passion or interest that you enjoy like the arts (drawing, film, painting, music) or science (i.e. learning biology, zoology or paleontology) then go for it! if you're unhappy about your current situation then find a way to it change it, before it gets any worse. never be afraid to ask for help or support (emotionally or financially) everyone has the potential to become something better & everyone is skilled or intelligent in their own way in some other field of learning. never engage in negative self-talk or self-limiting beliefs, it not only worsen or distort your perception about yourself but also your relationship with others & how you function in your environment/workplace to truly get to know yourself, I encourage everyone to take the time to self-reflect on the present & ask questions about yourself. maybe read a book or learn a new skill. humans thrive on meaningful things like relationships/social connections & knowledge
Don't let this controlled and messy society make being yourself seem impossible because trust me it's not. Yeah it can be real hard to step out of your shell but it's time that you find joy in yourself and anyone who says something negative about it can fuck off. Seriously stop caring so much about what others thinks and wants from you, care about yourself instead and do what makes you happy. At the end of the day your happiness is the most important and doing things you like and enjoy is what matters most.

I was stuck in a lame situationship for three months, I have an addictive personality meaning that if im presented to something I DONT LET THAT SHI GO. Being in it consumed me tho. I completly lost myself. I don't even remember what I used to do before him, my whole life for these past 3 months was him. We were toxic together. He kept telling me he wasnt ready for a relationship, found out he was texting other girls so he got blocked. My friends kept telling me he was sad and shit and regreted the way he treated me so I gave the mf a chance. We flirted and we dated for 1 fucking day. Cuz the mf said he still wasn't ready. In my innocence I decided to wait for him. My friends started telling me I needed to let him go. My own sister told me I've chnaged for the worst. I started to compare myself nonstop, take pictures of myself, check my appearance constantly. I never did that shit because I knew that someone out there would like me for me because I knew what I could give. Moral of the story: Don't change for nobody. Do the shit you wanna do. I became basic asf for this mf and it wasn't worth it at all because he still looks at other girls, I became hateful towards my loved ones. I messed up my whole life because of this one guy. I was up fr. I just hope I get back to that same high. I dont even know why im here typing this but if your seeing this don't wait to be loved, be the love and love those around you because we don't stay here that long, I love you peace.

🧡🧡🧡
I admire those who are able to be themselves in todays society , especially unapologetically.
I love Tyler so much! ❤ I love his confidence & the faith he has in himself!!!!! Such an inspiration
One of my greatest inspirations.. troncat, yonkers, bastard etc. All shaped me. One love brother
mfw he says at 4:37 he'll dive into wearing all black 2 years from then and this video was 2 years ago and he actually did it 😭😭😭
Growing up in school I experienced everything he said, there were times I was actually better than most and good enough but not included on the list. Now as I’m older and look back at it I have a fuck then mentality
LOVE YOU TYLER!
In the end of the day, You choose how you make your life out to be and what you set out to do for yourself. I’m an illustrator and a writer and I’ve learned so much just by listening to my thoughts on what I want to do. Yes advice is good for guidance but it cannot hold your hand throughout your journey of self enlightenment as you are your best mentor, but also your worst obstacle to face. Always be you, always be real to yourself no matter what anyone says.
This is so wise. Would buy ur book XXX
I love Tyler the creator and seeing this really makes my day. Also I love being myself too.
just want to say these videos are edited/composed so well, you're not talking over them -- you're talking and curating through your editing Of them and idk, i just really appreciate it in a world where EVERYONE seems to be talking over a screenshot
Upload more videos! I love this kind of motivational content!
I'm a new fan and this dude speaks to me like no other artist has. I listened to some of his stuff like a year ago but never really dived deep into it. Now that I have I fuckin love this guy.
I love everything about Tyler he's funny he's kind he's confident he's an ass lol he's intelligent he's none judgmental he's talented just all around a unique individual and I love how he is just himself at all times he's so cool to me lol love it
The best thing I’ve done in my life thus far is be my authentic self choose your happiness over others living in the idea of others is such a miserable thing and as long as you don’t have your own form of individuality you’ll be trapped in that cycle
I love Tyler, I simply just learn from him.
this is a great channel man. helps me not get too lost and focus on myself and be myself. its hard being a creative, not to be swayed by the world around us. Trying not to be slaves or puppets to such an oppressive force the world is. thank you.
PLEASE Keep making these! So many good messages for young artists like me! :)
The second the video starts he just goes off with "My whole life I felt like a stepchild". First 2 seconds and just. . . damn.
too true, be ya self watever
Tyler the creator always very different from the rest and doing his own thing and stay in his own lane and thats why he is beautiful human being. Respect💯🔥
I like the idea of "carry yourself with leadership-like qualities and you can follow yourself"
It feels like the motto from Gurren Lagann, "Believe in the me that believes in you, believe in the you that believes in yourself"
Great video!!! Thanks for advices from great talents
Seeing Tyler and A$AP together in that old clipped almost made me tear up... such an iconic era in hip hop
As a creative struggling with this same topic I really needed this
thanks for stitching these clips together
That's Top Tier Voice. Perfect Voice for Podcasts.
Keep up the great work! These videos are so great!
“There’s no higher powers” is really wild to say. God is the ultimate creator and He is the best creator and we are made in His image and that’s why we are all able to be creative in the way we are and it saddens my heart to hear whoever was talking around 3:09 saying there’s no higher powers helping Tyler but in reality and the truth is, it’s the true God in heaven who made the heavens and earth that made Tyler so creative
not everyone is religious
If it's true to you that's amazing. But it's not true for everyone, maybe it isn't for Tyler.
Best ost from cult of the lamb
Agreed
Truly, one of the songs in the soundtrack to ever.
That clip of him talking about wearing all black and getting to it in two years is really hittin different rn
Keep the videos, appreciated it
It's easy being yourself when you're extremely talented.
You sound insecure
@@guera2003 Insecure how? Tyler has won the genetic lottery when it comes to rapping, not everyone is born with a voice like that. Alot of hard work goes into getting where he is atm but there are thousands of other rappers who put in the same amount of work and get nowhere. That's why getting advice about being yourself from people who are insanely naturally talented is stupid.
@@timwatley4793 Yeah you sound mad insecure. You can really do anything you want to. This is sad lol
@@guera2003 Oh okay, in that case I think I will become the next Usain Bolt, nah actually I'll just be a better version of Luciano Pavarotti. It should be easy considering there is no such thing as genetics anymore.
@@timwatley4793 how do yk you’re not talented if you’re not willing to try? don’t waste your time living believing you were born without purpose and go find it
If people can accept a person who’s trying to be someone they’re not but can’t accept you for being yourself then they ain’t worth the time, don’t be someone for someone else’s standards because your being unfair on yourself.
I always find it weird when Tyler the creator fans call me weird for being myself
The opportunity we got today is like no other, the fact he just said he got kicked out of a band class cause he couldn't read music is crazy. Nowadays we in school playing with a quarter of a million$ worth of instruments and Skilling up for free. No sheet music just raw talents
Love these videos so far, thanks bro!
tyler would have a great day job as a motivational speaker
genuinly some really good advice.
don't know much about Tyler,
but i'm willing to listen to more of his newer stuff.
We all have an ego. Dont "just be yourself" strive to be who you want to be.
As a black kid adopted by Colombians since birth raised in the suburbs vs the hood I felt so fucking alien and still do within my society. I thank God everyday for the music this man made early in his career and the hype OF brought to hip hop during my middle/high school years being nothing but a metalhead hearing his beats and lyricism was a breath of fresh air and till this day Bastard and Goblin have helped get me through shit times. OFWGKTA. OF TIL’ I OD AND I PROBABLY WILL…
Love his words and his stuff
you know what, the first frase was usefull, there are places where i belong, there are things i'm good at, yet i shoud do what i want and love
Tyler is so great, he gives real advice and is an amazing person
Legendary
He’s one of my favorites
He's wise. Thanks for the vid
Ty for this also nice beat at the end, keep going
I like this guy's energy.
Its just so good listen Tyler speak, his voice sound badass af
the 3:45 interview is incredible
Do u know the name
This one's good, thanks for compiling this up. Cheers! Not a Tyler fan or nothing, just appreciate forms of art.
“I didn’t let none of that shit stop me from doing anything I wanted to do”
I remember my former father once criticized me for wanting to become an artist cause I wouldn't earn much if i made it like a profession or career.
he wanted me to join the army instead. I hate to admit that he was right but that didn't stop me from drawing.
I guess he just doesn't understand that I only do it because I enjoy it and not for validation or reward like money or fame.
Regardless of what your background is or what identity you chose, if we can learn one thing from this man. its that you have to learn to believe in yourself. you mustn't lose your way. don't let anyone take away or ruin your own happiness. just remember, it's not an act of being selfish. you have the right to prioritize your own well-being too. if you have a passion or interest that you enjoy like the arts (drawing, film, painting, music) or science (i.e. learning biology, zoology or paleontology) then go for it! if you're unhappy about your current situation then find a way to it change it, before it gets any worse. never be afraid to ask for help or support (emotionally or financially)
everyone has the potential to become something better & everyone is skilled or intelligent in their own way in some other field of learning. never engage in negative self-talk or self-limiting beliefs, it not only worsen or distort your perception about yourself but also your relationship with others & how you function in your environment/workplace
to truly get to know yourself, I encourage everyone to take the time to self-reflect on the present & ask questions about yourself. maybe read a book or learn a new skill. humans thrive on meaningful things like relationships/social connections & knowledge
your videos are honestly the best Ive seen, I'm really glad I cam across your channel fr
Reject unhealthy social conformity, embrace healthy non-coformity
He is so well spoken
Great compilation, this series you got going here is a blessing for people like me trying to simply better inform our day to day decisions with some new insight. A lot of good advice in this vid.
Thanks Tyler, your appreciated. Too bad teachers didn't encourage that back in the day. Usually we were told 'your not...' which usually pushed us 'to do'.
Love this! keep it up :)
Man I love Tyler. I vibe with exactly what he’s saying. Thanks for uploading this compilation. 💚🚀
These are such beautiful words. Thank you Tyler ❤
We live in a world where you fear being yourself because your “Weird or Strange” Which makes you happier being, acting or dressing like other people who have no goals or passions or being who you are and getting genuine respect from genuine people, I’ll leave this here for you decide
Incredible work, both tyler and u thanks
keep making more of these!
so people who don't see their own value, won't see the value in others.
Either you learn to keep going, or you get convinced to stop.
this is an amazing idea for a channel. i think all creative people can use videos like this.
What song are they listening to at 2:57?
Woow so many gems in this video. Thank you Tyler! 👏🏾🫶🏾
What’s song are playing at 3:15 ?
Kali ? That shit hit hard man
just some cherry bomb outtake unfortunately unreleased bc I think an uncleared sample
Nothing yet ?
Joined Drama class and they said he was too hyper?!?!?! Wouldn't you call that a bit DRAMAtic?
Lol
getting kicked out of theatre for being “too hyper” is an achievement I’ve never even thought of
