It is a fabulous update people. Bravo👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. The arps, the passes, songs, live suggest etc. all dope. Hope the next gen has the same level of upping the game on the bass and strumming phrases. Keep up the awesome work🤘🏽
Another great update. I'm visualising Scaler 3 will host multiple instruments at the same time. Bass, keys, rhythm etc. Wow maybe even a channel for pitch corrected singing. That would be incredible for us novices.
Just this alone is ground breaking whatever they have in store for 3 will be out of this world and help so many, I struggle with theory I know my major/minor and 7ths 9ths 11ths etc but sometimes i can't get out what I hear in my head and I've had scaler a long time just never used it and I did the other day for the first time and this live/suggest mode as well as detect is letting me finish these chord progressions now and letting me get out what i hear in my head
Really great. I'm loving the pieces that take shape when I use Scaler, they turn into fascinating epics that tear me from my usual methods. It was good before, and now gets better!
Awesome, it would be dope to have a soloist option to play alongside your chord progression and be able to randomize endless possibilities 😁. That would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Excellent . Love Scaler. Just need stand alone, easier to read fret board mode, proper programmable time line instead of the timing thing they have now.
I don't use live mode since since we cannot select chords while sliding to the end of the suggestion, it work only for chords visible but once you slide to other suggestions it always reset to beginning making pretty hard to get going.
I don’t get chord packs are still a thing, when Scaler was great at v1 and has been getting better and better with each release. By far one of my favourite plugins
Great update. But... Reaper crashes constantly when using Scaler 2.9. This has never happened before. In another DAW (checked in Ableton) everything works without problems. Please fix it!
In the School of Synthesis video today, he was using Scaler Control, in front of an Instrument. Any idea if that is something that is coming or what? Currently, I use Scaler on one channel and send it to another channel with an Instrument on it.
Hello, please, I don't know how to update it, I have downloaded the 2.9.0 pkg file from the update website but I don't know what I have to do with this pkg file. Thank you
PC, Win 11, Cubase: Scaler 2.9 causes crashes in different and often unpredictable situations when you save the Cubase project and then try to close Cubase. Then Cubase crashes and freezes. The same thing happens when you add Scaler to some Cubase projects. Then when you save the project and close Cubase, Cubase crashes and freezes. It doesn't happen in all situations. It also happens, for example, in very small projects where there are only 2 tracks in total. It depends on which VST instruments are in the project. - It is a very big problem!
can anyone help me with this.... If I'm recording a guitar track with the capo on the 3rd fret in logic and I want to add a midi track using scaler how do I transpose the chords in scaler so they play in the same key as the guitar, I've tried to figure this out but I can't, any suggestions would be super awesome!
Scaler 3 needs to scan for vst plugins so scaler can use the 3rd party vst as its sound module. Also the ability to use third party midi for basslines, melodies etc

Scaler is nice but you're going to be messing around in the piano roll eventually with far greater control. So it's rendered useless, doesn't really speed things up. What would speed thing up would be a tool that allowed you to select any scale and then for the white notes to automatically be mapped to the scale. From the DAW! Not a click drag feature inside scaler, scaler doesn't even do it properly it just ignores non scale notes. The most tedious piano roll activity is making sure all the chords and notes are inside the scale. From what I've seen only scaler has come close to getting it right. But for some reason it's main appeal seems to be to suggest chords, which is about as useful as copy pasting a progression from a billion songs on the internet. Which takes about as long as opening up scaler and dragging the squares around. Being able to click notes randomly and have them automatically be in a scale would save significant time. It would also allow you to quickly play the entire scale into the piano roll for reference instead of looking up the notes from a text document every time you need a specific scale.
Wish they would strip this down some. Just want a simple vst to make chords in scales. Borrowed and relative chords that complement the chosen key etcetera. Visually shows and guides you in making or adding 7ths 9ths etcetera so we can still learn and familiarize ourselves in the process with building and making these chords. No arpeggios and all the other fancy stuff they keep adding. The live function would be dope by itself. Pick your scale, chords and boom! you have your progression! with an option to choose alternative bass notes possibly.

I have become a reader who supports automatic sessions at the DAW level. The scale is the number of users using the major tools. It must act as a “ruler” of the arrangement, capable of overlapping polyphonic and homophonic sounds.

you can control vst instruments with scaler in real-time by setting scaler's midi output and the vst instruments' midi inputs. for example, in fl studio set both to midi port 1. you can easily find out how to do that in detail by googling. have fun
Davide and the Scaler team continue to punch above their weight class and great to see you highlighting it.
By FAR my favorite compositional tool. Thanks for another cool update!

I just re-watched this video. Somehow i completely missed PASSAGES! That looks incredible. Can't wait for my next session.@@MH2mus1c
My favorite plug-in. All time. 👏👏👏
By far the best Plugin I have ever seen
Really great. I'm loving the pieces that take shape when I use Scaler, they turn into fascinating epics that tear me from my usual methods. It was good before, and now gets better!
Thank you so very much for this great and useful update !!
Had been waiting for something like passages. Great update
This chord sugest is really what's missing out before, what a great addition!!
agreed. super powerful - JC
Nice! I need to update. One of my favorite plugins I own because of how useful it is
Thanks for the free update. Rad amendments🤘🏽
Nice vidéo ❤😉 Nice update !!!
Fantastic Update 👍✨
Can't wait 🤘💀🍻🔥
Nice! Thank you
Great! I'll play around with it :-)

Will Scaler 2's 2.9 update come for iPads?

We want a standalone version with drums and save as in cloud.
Scaler is such a lovely plugin. I can only imagine version 3.0 will be AI or ML based as that seems to be the trend in a lot of new plugins.
When is this coming to the IOS version?
Great plugin
Cool!

make it your thing...make anything your thing!
Essential
Chord packs always was a meme
Does Scaler 2 have these genres: Polka and Waltz?
Great update. But...

Left handed 🎉
just needs a step note sequencer built into it as well and it would be amazing

第一时间升级啦~~~!太棒啦!!
Can I install Scaler 2.9 on Mac OS Ventura 13.6.1 ?
When iOS update?

That’s 3 semitones up, basically, if you play let’s say an A with capo, it really is a G…
F# Dorian is just the E Major scale starting from F#
Thank you!

I wish there was a learn keyboard system built into scalar. That would help a non keyboard player
How detect chords from a polyfonic audio file and send midi's results to DAW?

Do not explose scaler, course a programm asked me license. I spend my money two years ago and dont remember where is my license.

it needs a complete U.I. overhaul.
it's ugly and it's hard to read the text in it.

This is already possible via midi in your DAW.
It would have to be a stand alone app for this to be useful.
