- #classictruckrescue #classictrucks #antiquetrucks Classic Truck Rescue pulls a Chevy 327 out to swap for a 1991 Chevy Cheyenne 4x4 which in turn is traded for a 1977 Chevy 4x4....and we build a Ranch Gate that would make a Cowboy proud.
nice project glad to see you getting some things done.
Thank you Colin. Nice to be moving forward again. -Rick
I love watching you guys saving old trucks and parts ❤LoveJim J&R mobile service and God Bless y'all and your critters critters
Nice job on the gate, those trucks are super handy.
Good job on the gate/posts !
Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
That old Chevy will be worth gold someday.
The gate came out great, and the square body chevys were tough trucks and are popular right now to rebuild. Yours looks to be in good shape body wise.
I'd bet more than a couple of CTR fans would be happy to help JET'S friends at the horse rescue, if we knew where to donate!
Not only are great neighbors a blessing, but they should also be well blessed for their good works!
wouldnt this be a much better world if we all learned to work together
Yup. It sure would.
Great to see this video showing just how much work you all do and how nice it turns out! Jamie and Annabell are so much help and it shows. Lookin forward fir the next video!!

My pleasure. Thanks for stopping by again.
I think you two are awesome. God bless your journey.
Now you need a piece of wood with "Classic Truck Ranch" carved into it hanging from the cross post at the top.
Hello Rick. Here is a simple tip for when you are loading the trailer by yourself and you want the front tires to stay straight. I worked for Triple-A in Indianapolis(Actual employee not a contractor) and one thing I found to be very handy towing or wenching a car or truck was a 2-inch ratchet strap modified so you can wrap one end around the steering wheel at center bottom and then use the adjustable hooked end on the brake pedal bar. this keeps the front end inline. I've towed trucks from the rear many times with this holding the front straight for well over 200 miles and we used the same method when loading roll-backs. Love the show and thanks for remembering the work horses of the country "Work trucks".
Love the square body I have 3 of them
They're like Lay's potato chips....can't have just one....I have 3 as well lol. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
@@ClassicTruckRescue Yea ur right on that
That 91 Cheyenne truck is a good workhorse.

Jmho, "trouble" would look sharp in that shade of blue.
That's MY honest opinion too Chad. Complete with the white SS stripes. Always good to hear from you my Friend. -Rick
I don't know... It's hard watching my Rick Maylender do a walk around on a 1991 truck. LOL! Just busting on ya brother. You have to do whatever it takes in business. Made up for a great video with the rest. Peace-out and keep up the good work.
Yer funny lee. Yeah, I figured the 67 Camaro and black square body would put us back into Classic Territory. Thanks For stopping by again. -Rick
Really like the gate Rick, nice work. Love the videos. I would like to come out and see the truck ranch sometime.maybe this summer when I’m well.
Short sleeves on the 22nd of January! We just went through sub zero weather, ice storms and snow storms. Great update Rick! Keep em coming! Zip~
That's why I love Oregon Zip. Lots of rain in the Winter and early Spring....but pretty moderate temperatures for the most part. Thanks Fer Watchin' again. -Rick

Jamie that was the cutest sneeze I’ve ever heard x
I know. The first time I ever heard her sneeze I thought she was playing around. I said "What was that?" She looked at me and said "What do you mean? I sneezed". Six-years later...same sneeze. Cutest sneeze ever. Thanks Fer watchin'. -Rick
That device is more like "The Back-Saver 12,000 (lb)"! I got one too! Best $$$ I ever spent! That '91 chevy is real clean. Jaimie is a hoot! "It's puts the log in the hole, or it gets the hose again!" LOL! :) The gate closes with a solid Ker-Thunk!
great to see u again.remember if it dosnt kill u itll make u stronger.im in ohio think ill found some land feb.1st move on man its changed to winter here but u work for good things.
Howdee Rick; You need to bottle that energy, you'd get a good price for it. Thanks for D furry little woodland creatures. Hi Jamie, Annabbella and Jet. Tools makes the world go around. Cheers !!***.
Nice job on that gate Rick, it sure helps having the appropriate tools for the job don't it? You two sure are a pair, it's great seeing ya'll working together so well. Take care guys looking forward to more great stuff, keep it up brother.. Peace -Jay
Thank you Jay. Yes, the big trucks have been a huge help. Can't wait to use them on the building. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Super rad ...
Congratulations to yourself Jamie and Anna Bella on 40K subscribers from the UK, I look forward to every new CTR video when it pops up in my email.
Thank you and Thanks Fer Watchin' again. -Rick
Now you need to hang a Big CTR letters on that gate.
I agree Tom. It will happen. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Nice work Rick, that's a nice gate those bucket trucks are a blessing. I had a '77 K5 Blazer Cheyenne trim black with the gear-driven T-case with the shift pattern
4L-Loc
4L
N
4H
4H-Loc
The Loc feature I was told when I bought was for 50/50 fixed power transfer to the frt & rear axles.
Only problem and I'm sure you have heard and/or seen one the 4x4's especially under load the steering box tearing from the left frame rail. I took the box off and welded a steel 0.25" plate too beef up the frame. Only changes I did too the motor was an HEI distributor Mallory I wanna say possibly MSD been 25 years ago and an Excel coil & plugs. There great trucks and if my memory serves me right '77 was the last year of the round headlights and/or the tripod style side mirrors. Not sure when the rear manual crank up window changed. Sweet K20 hope ya keep it.
I believe 1979 was the last year for the round headlights. I have come across the problem with the gearbox being torn off the frame too. Sounds like you came up with a good cure for that. You are right though, these trucks are serious workhorses and will step up to the task. Always good to hear from you Ben. thanks For Stopping by again. -Rick
Classic Truck Rescue Can do Rick, you guys stay safe and warm. Great video
Trouble's older brother. I bet that one can still be trouble too... A very, very pretty '67 Camaro indeed...
I bet you're right. Thanks for stopping by again my Friend. -Rick
The old black chevy is sweet! if you don't want it after getting it going send to Kentucky!
My deepest condolences (again) to your mom losing Princess so soon after Patches -sniff-... I wonder if the poor girl might not have died of a broken heart, missing her late partner (partner in crime? I know they're both sadly missed! God bless you all!
Luv that Annabelle 🐕🐕🇺🇸
So do I Brother. For sure. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
"And if you don't like it, go away!" Hahaha! Or, "Don't go away mad, just go away!" I don't understand why some people hang around to make snide comments or just be hateful. There is so much content on TH-cam, surely they can find something they DO like. I certainly have! I like CTR! Linda and I and Amber send our best to you and Jamie, and Annabella, too!
Nice my pampo has a 1988 k20 Cheyenne still on the road and non rust.I got a 1975 c10 with a 350 very little rust 5 % not bad
Great video from start o finish bro, gate turned out really well too. All the best to everyone and critter on the ranch.
Most common issue with these is the green and white wire on the pickup in the distributor looses the insulation and arcs, effectively grounding out the ignition system. For about $200, you can replace the distributor, coil, plug wires and plugs. The new distributor WILL come with a new ignition module, cap and rotor, so it's ready to fire right out of the box. Good luck with the rest of the work! I've owned 11 1988-1999 Chevys and GMC's. Nice old square body too Rick! Cheers! Zip~
Thanks for the tip Zip...-Rick
I own a 1995 excab1500 long bed and would love to add a around 1976 chevy truck to my collection. I don't even care if its a 4X4. It would be nice but I'm not picky lol. I am going to try and find a push bar like the one on your chevy. Also a cad visor over the windshield.
There is an abundance of straight-solid square-bodies (1973-1987 Chev and GMC Trucks) in Oregon. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Bless you
Glad to have you on board and glad you have a sense of humor. God Bless you as well Michael.
Cool gate rick..just a idea how about 3 old grills welded together first one with Rick second on with Jamie and the 3rd with annabella painted on them and across the bottom paint classic truck rescue..that would be so awesome man..love ya all Todd Linnabery..
I like it!
Those International crane and bucket trucks really came in handy. Loved watching the, work together. I really hope you end up keeping them because i have a feeling that if they go back to your friends lot the next time they leave will be on a flatbed headed to the junk yard. I don't want to see that happen, please try to save them.
Hopefully I can work a deal on them my Friend. I think the deal is going to involve some work with them on my end though....Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
New gate set up is a good job
Not bad for a non-perfesh'nl. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
thumbs up rick loved the extra long vlog cant wait to see the ctr ranch sign swinging high I really like those type of ranch entrances kind of seems like the ctr ranch is really coming together with all the new stuff like the pole barn and talks about a house I really wish you and Jamie all the best oh and the truck inspector general anna bella

That log installer sounded like Chewbacca.
It do make some strange noises....but definitely does the Chewbacca mating call when you engage the pole hoist. Lol. Thanks fer watchin'...again. -Rick
1979-91 bed on that '76. 1973-78 had the exposed gas caps.
Little momma must have thought some'um a little dirty when u said I like sticks cause that little funny laugh , it was cute
She just knows how much I like to shift my own gears Steven......wait...you might have a point...Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
awesome !
Thank you Tom and Thanks fer watchin'. -Rick
I believe Rick that color is star bright blue in Dupont
I have to see if Sean will give me a paint chip off it from under a panel somewhere. Tried looking up the star bright dupont and didn't look quite the same. Thank you Barry and Thanks for stopping by again. -Rick

Great respect and greetings from Holland.(:-Menno
Well, if its any consolation, it took me 14-hours to compile, Edit and upload this 1-hour video. I started on it at 9a.m. yesterday and didn't get it uploaded until after 1am this morning. So encouraging comments like yours are certainly appreciated. Greetings from Molalla, Oregon U.S.A. Thank you and Thanks Fer watchin'. -Rick
Good work takes time,Rick. It shows in the videos.
Yeah,it's not "shiny and showbizz crap"and that's just the way i and a lot of your viewers like about you guys and videos.
The fact that 3 people getting what they all want without changing cash is the best way to do buisness,as long as everybody's happy it's great!!
As long as you can make some money/living out of it,of course and i do hope that you can get some trucks sold for decent money.And if people b.tch about you trying to make a living out off it,well i'm best not to type what i think about that here (;
Without you most of these trucks would have ended up scrapped anyway.
I've been fixing cars for a living for 28 years now and know how much work there has to be done.Great respect for you and Jamie in following your dreams and building it on that beautifull land .
Thank you.
Yes I surely like that black Chevy truck looks like a 3/4 ton 350 the one that you were just looking at.. I wonder if that's for sale
I like the Baja bug
I do too David....something tells me Sean is definitely attached to it though. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
Hey Rick hey Jamie good video I really enjoyed it and at one time my uncle had a 1969 Chevy Camaro and I miss that car he told me I wouldn't miss it but still to this day and one day I'm going to buy myself one because I miss that car so much
I had a Marina Blue '68 Camaro SS that I can't get out of my head either Brother. Just love the lines on those First-Gen Camaros. Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
It looks like the same one out of fast and the furious 1 at the end of the the movie. Love the videos wish I lived closer to you so I could come out and see all the trucks bc Chevy is the way to go. Classic truck rescue comment if you think I should get a Chevy truck for my first vehicle keep up the good videos
Kyle, if you love Chevy trucks, then you should definitely get one. When I was in school, it seemed to me that my friends who had trucks sure had a lot of fun. You learn at an early age that the guy (or gal) with a truck has more capabilities than those without one. Also, there's some truth to the song..."There's somethin' women love about a pickup man". Thanks Fer Watchin'. -Rick
I hope my channel gets this big one day 💪🏻💪🏻
Well, you have 58 Subscribers and your channel has been up for less than a month. That's actually pretty good. I've been building my channel since 2011. So, it took 8-years to get here. The best advice I can give you is "Keep it clean". You are never going to get a comment saying .."We need to hear more cussing"...or "Could we get more shots of people smoking". Yes, lots of people smoke and cuss....but there are a lot of people who don't take their children around people who are doing that....so why would they want their children watching shows where people are doing that? It took me a long time to realize that and it is a lot of work to edit out that content. You are always going to have people cussing and smoking...and doing other inappropriate things while you are spontaneously filming your activities....just edit it out as best you can before uploading. My Friends aren't perfect and neither am I, but parents (and people that just don't want to listen to fowl language) are smart enough to know that we can edit that kind of content out of a video before uploading it. They also know that if we didn't take the time to clean it up before putting it out there....we are either being lazy...or we just don't care. I wish you the best with your channel. It has been a lot of hard work to get our channel to where it is finally starting to take off. I would do it all over again. I have learned a lot and met some amazing people in the process. Having 40,000 subscribers is like having an endless supply of Friends that you can call on for advice and encouragement. You will meet some who aren't very nice in the process, and sometimes the things they say can get to you...but don't let one unhappy, miserable person keep you from making a hundred cool friends. Also, think twice about how you respond to a person's first mean comment. Some of my oldest viewers started with a mean comment that I gave a kind response to. But don't be afraid to block a person who is obviously going potty all over your channel. Hope that helps. Watch some of my first videos and learn from my mistakes. Thanks Fer watchin'. -Rick
Thank you man 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 means a lot brother
Thanks rick..when might your house come home sir..take care..cowboy...
56 seconds for the gate.
