There was an incident where his voice cracked during a live concert as has happened with many other groups and singers. The supposed fandom condemned him asking for his removal from the group and some of them even said he should just die. Because of that he lost his confidence. He was doing a lot of variety shows and although some people said he was doing his own thing, they forget that with every appearance he was promoting SJ and keeping their name and images in the public mind as he always spoke o about his group mates. The other thing people don’t seem to realize that during that time all their pay was probably still being pooled and the profits from albums may not have been enough to sustain the group’s activities so tv appearances were necessary and the best person with a big appealing comedic personality is Heechul. It really is nice to hear him sing solos. I first heard him sing with Lee Hong Ki and I became a fan of Shinee because of Heechul. I love their voices and wish them God’s blessing and strength as they deal with the loss of their brother.
SM is known for not splitting income for appearances of individual members among the team. And even if there are exceptions in the future, super junior was not one of them-- individual appearances are individual pay alone

Well it will be good to visit my hometown lmao. They thought like he gonna ask for forgiveness and Yunho and Jungmo followed him to convince him to get back and apologize. He said if they want me they should come to me not me they know where i live. And he went back to his hometown. And stayed there. Until Lee soo man himself reached out to him. I think he went to his hometown to get him back. I think some of the styles of songs that SUJU have done didn't always quite work with his voice. He loves doing that indie style with a bit of a growl to it, it's really quite a unique and beautiful sound. I mean, we know he's not crazy about all the dancing and such, I just really think the rock/trot/indie scene just works better with his particular voice type. He's done plenty of beautiful things with SUJU, but when he sings this style it's so clear that he's in his true element.

But after his return from the army he has improved his singing so much. His high note in Evasnce is amazing. M&D has amazing songs!! His SM Station songs- Narcissus and Sweet Dream are both so good. He has gained his confidence and I love that he is doing music a lot nowadays. He wrote the lyrics for M&D albums and his SM station songs. This performance never gets old for me. Heechul gets to perform with one of the singers from his hometown. The charisma he displays and the stage presence he has here is enthralling. His voice here is so captivating and I am always looking forward to M&D songs.
Well, to me, I like Heechul because he is talented and he can sing. And I also like Visual Kei bands, they are all pretty, but I like them because of the music, not their face...
I'm so happy that he's gained his confidence and showing his full potential ^^ He in fact has a crystal and solid voice, and his vocal range is no joke either. I remember he "jokingly" sang opera style, yet it was so good i got goosebumps. Hope he gets more chances to sing later on :D

Heechul always makes everyone smile, but don't know why whenever I saw him his eyes makes me sad. It feels like a deep sorrow hidden inside his heart. Don't know why!!

Our Heenim beautiful rocking the stage here! I missed seeing him Perform on stage especially SuperShow. I wait until he sing again at SUperShow for SJ 20years aniversary.
Part of the lyric was "Dont call me a coward...even if I wander the dirty back alleys"....So probably all black clothes that he wore referred to the dirty back alleys and he wore the pinky thing to show that he's not a coward....But to make it short, Heechul don't give a damn to anyone or anything really...He will be himself for his lovers or haters...Got problem with that? Definitely not his problem....kekekek....Love you, my man Kim Heechul....One of a kind...

This performance never gets old for me. Heechul gets to perform with one of the singers from his hometown. The charisma he displays and the stage presence he has here is enthralling. His voice here is so captivating and I am always looking forward to M&D songs.
I decided to sing this for karaoke one night and my Korean boyfriend was like “How do you know this song?” 😆 All thanks to Heechul!

I was 15 when i watched this on TH-cam. We all have come long way stanning heechul.
I'm so happy that he's gained his confidence and showing his full potential ^^ He in fact has a crystal and solid voice, and his vocal range is no joke either. I remember he "jokingly" sang opera style, yet it was so good i got goosebumps. Hope he gets more chances to sing later on :D
