Side note: Ohtani Tomoya composed and arranged lots of music for other Sega games, including Space Channel 5: Part 2. Probably one of the reasons why he enjoyed Korone's playthrough of that game.

That's how introverts work. They sometimes seem loudmouth and obnoxious when they comfortable, but once you put them around strangers, they keep to themselves and very softspoken. :)

In case you're not a native English speaker, "get used" has a very different meaning than what I think you intend to say. You probably meant, "get used to" or "get accustomed to". "Get used", without "to", can have a meaning similar to "being taken advantage of" or "being manipulated"; it can even be used in some sexual contexts. It sounds kinda yabai as it's currently written lol So I thought I'd let you know in case that's not what you meant.
With how active Korone's been with various hololive collabs in the recent year I'd almost forgotten how incredibly shy she is around people she's not used to.

That's kinda surprising since i see you a lot in every single hololive clip lol didn't knew you weren't here until the EN girls
Some of the HoloEN girls have been doing Q&A panels at cons too. I think interactions like that where the girls actually see the fans real-time is really special. I'm sure it's a different feel than just seeing names on chat.
I'm happy to see how much she's grown as a vtuber and a person since her debut. Even though she is not as confident as Fubuki when she appeared on TV, and there is still room for improvement, Korone definitely did overcome her shyness, at least to the point when she is able to participate in such events.

I waited for this moment a long time ago. When I saw Korone playing the Segata Sanshiro game on Sega Saturn and Segagaga on DC, i created in myself a expectation that Korone would play Sonic anytime in her channel and make a real collab with Sega! And the time has come....
That's why i began to like her even more. I identify with that doggo not only because of Sonic, but also for her taste in retro games. I have such a pleasure for being her fan.

She was very excited and worried about this event because her previous events were often invited along with Okayu.
But she's the only one in Hololive who has ever played a Sonic game so she has to go solo.
It's more so that she's the only one in hololive Japan that we ever saw playing a _Sonic_ game on-screen. Amelia also did play a bunch of those off-screen and did a _Sonic Mania_ livestream a while ago.

Finally Korone has taken the title of "#1 Sonic Superfan among Western audiences" from Arin Hanson!
Technically Arin still holds the Sonic crown among Western content creators but Korone is easily the #1 pick to partner with since her struggling & failing is a lot less grating to listen to plus she's not nearly as brutally honest as Arin....also she's cuter (than Arin; Korone is roughly tied with Danny on the cuteness meter)
Today is a major boon for the Sonic series; a franchise in desperate need of more lasting positive community perception. Don't get me wrong I like Sonic + Game Grumps but I'm not sure if I'll ever forget about Knuckles jumping outside of every map by simply hitting start then jump and repeating those steps indefinitely lol
I'd say SomeCallMeJohnny holds that crown more than Arin does. Arin claiming to be a Sonic fan sounds more like a meme given how much he bashes this series. He's not even invested in the characters or their stories, he just likes playing them cause he thinks they're "a mess" and good for a laugh.
