Very good explanation bhai, I have recently purchased Used XUV500 W6 2016 dark red color, for 6.25lacs, Single owner, 1 lac driven (But very good condition), car on Service record.
I want to share my review for the Dealers, because I have purchased my car from a Nagpur local dealer and my experience is very good.
People don't trust on dealers, so just get your car thoroughly checked as I did, and you can purchase a car from the dealer as well, there is no harm in it.
Locating a car where Owner is directly selling is difficult, I waited for 6months and finally got it.
My XUV500 is giving 15KM/Ltr mileage constantly on highway, and 12-13 in City in high traffic.
Its the best car in this segment, no doubt!
I used Ford Figo(1.4 Diesel) for last last 9yrs, and I have done Pune-Nagpur(700+kms) 40+ times using Figo, it used to take 11hrs in One go with 2 - 15min breaks.
80-100km speed I used to keep as much as possible in Figo,
But XUV500 runs normal at 110-130 range, like I am driving Figo at 80km speed.
I did Pune-Nagpur with 2 breaks in 9hrs with XUV500.
Xuv500 is very powerful!!!

Check if black smoke is coming by accelerating the car
Check if smoke is coming from oil check slot, if it's then you need to spend on engine

due to suspension problem i was planning to sell my 2013 xuv and was looking for innova in second hand market... it is clocked around 90k km that time but after some researching i want to give a try to aftermarket arc suspensions along with tyre upgrade bridgestone dueler 265 65 r17 (fortuner gen1 stock tyres).. after that upgrade the car feels like new and ride is so much smooth , not any cabin noise anymore.. very less body roll. now my car is clocked around 130k and i m not planning to sell it soon.. loving my xuv 500.. and yes there are some problem with electronics.. mine have issues with the updown window motors and tps.. mirrors closing and other all features are working fine on 10yrs old xuv..

suspension costed me 25k and tyres i think around 40k
Please share more details abt the aftermarket suspension you are using , I plan to do that to my 2012 W8, I recently got Bridgestone Dueler tyres

Yes if km is genuine so you can take it and take car to any Mahindra dealership and check car by Mahindra technician
I am telling you because in December 2023 i also purchased xuv500 w8 2015 74000 km driven first owner at price of 5.30 lakh and when we check car service history it is accidental and driven about 3 lakh kilometer and recently the engine wiring harness was burned and total cost is 80 thousand so if you buy check km are genuine or not
And never do service from out side local mechanic
