Nestled in the heart of Chatsworth, this darling family home is about to be transformed into a Succulent Wonderland!

We are staying up here in an Airbnb with the crew and are looking forward to having a blast this week!
I hoped that you would do an installation in the San Fernando Valley FOR YEARS! I am a big fan of your wonderful work. We live in Northridge which is very close to Chatsworth. It is definitely hotter than the coastal areas. I’ve killed too many succulents in search of what could endure this climate. Can’t wait!!!

Hi Laura, a bit further north in Moorpark is Peach Hill soils. Good for boulders/rock and all kinds of soil. Also Simi Pacific for rock in Simi valley. I’d love to drive by the project toward the end, is that allowed?🌺

(Annie) Ahhhh... a great blank slate, love it. First, really interesting that you showed the "before" pics of the yard at the end of the vid. The walkway elevations coming down really are stunning. I can see something tall and really stunning off center up in the middle ? I envision some tall pony tail palms. Ugh, that neighboring tennis court/hedge thing, really hope that can be phase 2 down the line. I agree with fellow commenter, this is will def bring out the walking neighbors talking lol. This should be fun...5 days is going to work everyone's muscles out 😁😁

Ooooh and I'm doing a specimen garden for my parents along a front boundary wall but on the inside. It's a big thing in Cape Town to have 6-10ft front walls.... sadly crime and blocking people out for privacy no doubt.
You should reshape the grass with more curves the lawn is too square

When you remove a big carbon holding tree and all those shrubs and ivy as part of an installation, how do you figure into your planting equation to replace the carbon holders in terms of volume of new plant material? Does California have specific rules?
oh my! the before pictures are jawdropping! it's going to rain in SD on tuesday and weds - heavy at times...you may have 2 days of rain too! you may want to throw some tarps over your soil!!
